this place was perfect for my 2.5 year leukemia follow up. I had four very large, very heavy bags because I was in transit to another country for a three month stay. I was able to look each bag, one by one, from Theresa’s place to the hospital in about 10 minutes per walk, plus time in the gate house. If you need a place close to the NIH for your visit, don’t hesitate – it’s perfect.

I booked the 'suite' less than a week before my stay. I was fortunate this roomy suite was available & at 70% the price of a lesser hotel room (!) with similar locational proximity to family I was visiting nearby via redline Metro. I highly recommend this to singles and couples looking for a location like this, although the bed is small ish for a couple. I was only their for three nights, but the suite would be fine for a multi-week stay. The bus stops (both directions) could hardly be closer. And hostess Susan is very proactive and responsive. My only minor concerns are not being able to turn off the front door light, I didn't need the motion detector light near the bed which came on occasionally when I rolled over in bed, and the noise from the dog(s) from the main residence upstairs can be heard in the ground level suite. Like I said these are minor concerns and I'll bet Susan could mitigate my two lighting concerns.

There are so many good things I could say about my stay here. I’m travel nursing alone from out of state and this was perfect for my extended stay. First off, the room was beautiful. It was also perfectly clean. It also included everything you would need for your stay long or short term. The whole apartment complex was clean as well, staff was also constantly cleaning the building, elevators and all. 24/hr staff in lobby was extremely nice every day and I was able to even receive packages easily. The laundry was right down the hall, the trash shoot was too. The apartment was quiet, so even working graveyards I never heard noise when I slept during the day. There was also a pool (I was there during winter so I never saw it) and “party room” in the building if you needed a change of scenery or want people over. Secondly, the apartment couldn’t be in a better location. Im a small, 27 year old girl traveling alone and I would feel safe walking down the street anytime. I never once in 4 months felt uneasy staying here in or out of the building. There’s a high school across the street and friendly locals walking around. The garage is completely inaccessible except to guests so I always felt safe in it and never worried about my truck when I wasn’t there. I was walking distance from restaurants, bars, shopping, and the metro. Lastly, Ashley was a saint of a host. She was always available and went above and beyond to made sure I had what I needed while I also had my privacy. When I first arrived she even walked in the garage ahead of my truck to make sure it fit. (I drive a huge, tall truck lol). She was very professional while also down to Earth enough to talk to if I had any concerns. I couldn’t have imagined a better place to stay!
