New River Gorge Bridge and Breakfast

ClaireRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We stayed overnight while visiting New River Gorge. Our family enjoyed relaxing in this apartment. It was just as described. As others have pointed out, there are quite a few stairs. This worked out just fine for us, but could be an issue for others.

Hickory Hideaway, escape to NRG!

SandraRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Toby's place was perfect for us. It is located close to the National Park which is why we were there. Grocery store is about 6 minutes away as well as a Walmart. The cabin was clean, well equipped with essentials, and allowed our dog. The driveway is narrow and best suited for SUV, or AWD vehicles. Low profile or smart vehicles may have trouble navigating in wet weather. We brought a small boat with us and parked it at a local campground because it would have been tough getting it in and out. There is not an easy turn around for such things. Not Toby's fault at all we should have asked and didn't. Just thought someone else might need this info for planning. When we go back to New River Gorge we will stay here again if it is available.

Red Barn Retreat

JeremyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a tremendous time at the red barn and our stay was peaceful when we wanted it to be and full of laughs and adventure whenever we were ready. The home had private spaces, as well as really big gathering spaces, like the kitchen and living room, for our entire crew to feel comfortable when we were together, and then we could retreat in the evenings and rest comfortably without being disturbed by the others. The house is a little hard to find, and a bigger sign or house number off of the main street in the neighborhood would have helped, but this is a minor detail that the host can easily overcome, and once found – the house and property were all well worth what we paid and did not disappoint or fall short of our expectations. If we ever adventure in the area again, we will certainly be back!
