Holiday rentals with lake access in Alaska

This house was stunning— inside and out. What a great view for Alaska! The space had a modern aesthetic—clean lines, comfortable furniture, and thoughtful touches throughout. The bed was super comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (plus a few extras). Check-in was smooth, and the host was friendly and responsive. If you're looking for a place with an incredible view, clean and modern vibes, and a peaceful atmosphere, this is it. I’d absolutely stay here again.

We arrived to a house exactly as described. Great location right near the lake and close to the airport. Mostly quiet with the occasional buzz of seaplanes taking off. The house was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and Johanna was very responsive. I would love to stay here again and highly recommend it if you're looking for something in the Anchorage area.

Very comfortable and cosy house in a peaceful, quiet and safe area which is very conveniently located near the airport and downtown. We didn't have a car this round but getting around by lyft or walking was easy. Lani was very responsive and friendly and allowed us to store our luggage before check in time.

Host was very responsive and kind. Would highly recommend this place to stay.

Before even checking in Marty had great communications making us feel very comfortable. In fact after traveling by train for 12 hours he even picked us up at the train station and brought us to the airport to get our rental car. Marty was very kind and shared information about the area with us. In all the years of traveling I have never felt as welcomed as we were. Upon arrival the decor was adorned with beautiful Christian motif. The accommodations were perfect as we had another couple staying with us providing ample room for all of us. The fridge was stocked with muffins, coffee, bagels, yogurt and milk as well as cereal. They provided detergent and dryer sheets for laundry. Great experience 10 out 10!

This place is a hidden gem! It is private but close to town and right on a lake. The kitchen was very well stocked (but not obnoxiously). The beds were clean and you can’t beat the view. Bummed we only stayed one night. Will be back!

I cannot say enough good things about this hangar home and the hosts!! 10 minutes from the airport, convenient access to everything we wanted to do, and absolutely beautiful inside and out. The beds were amazingly comfortable, and the curtains let us sleep well in the light. There are the planes that take off and land outside, but it was never a bother or very early or late. Most of all, Ruth and Johanna were incredibly responsive, and went above and beyond to help us out during our stay. (And their binder of local recommendations was fantastic…we tried out several and loved them all!). I hope to come back and stay longer.

Beautiful spot on a small lake! Tucked away and yet close to many things in Fairbanks. Clean and spacious. Nice to hang out in the backyard :)

We enjoyed staying at Jacob’s. It was really cool walking onto the back porch and watching two young moose and their mom having an early morning walk.

Beautiful sights and wonderful nights! Kelli Creek Cottage was very clean and spacious with a convenient location near the airport and Gold Creek Salmon Bake. Kelli was very responsive and helpful, ensuring our comfort and satisfaction.

I had a wonderful stay at this cozy little apartment in Alaska! The space was spotless, warm, and well-equipped with everything I needed.The views were absolutely stunning—waking up to snow-capped mountains was a dream. The host was responsive, kind, and made check-in a breeze. I’d absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with all the comforts of home.

Great location with awesome views. It was very quiet and easy to walk across the foot bridge to “downtown” for meals and the visitor center. There is a playground next to it that was nice and clean which my 7 year old loved. While we didn’t use them I noticed a pack and play, lots of kid books and some toys. The kitchen was well stocked for making quick meals. I also appreciated that there was places to hang jackets and place shoes.

I would give Candace 10 STARS if I could. She is responsive and a great host. We will be back for sure!

The house was well taken care of and very nice to stay in. Every sunrise and sunset was picturesque. The lake was beautiful and refreshing. Loved the opportunity to step away from life at home and relax.

We had a great stay in this little cottage. It was exactly as represented, and Megan was very responsive to all our needs. The space was exceptionally clean and the perfect size for our needs. Just bummed we couldn’t stay longer but we will be back! Great space and location.

We had a great stay at Janice’s place. The house is pretty private and close to the lake. The bed was comfy, heater kept us warm and it was easy to get inside. We took her recommendations for food in town and had a great dinner. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I hesitate to let out the secret that is Eric's place. A 15 minute drive from downtown Talkeetna, it is an oasis on a beautiful lake. Everything was as described, and the beds were extremely comfy, the kitchen was well-stocked, and Eric promptly responded to any questions we had. We think it's a great value for the money and only wished the weather cooperated a bit more for us to use his lake toys. Eric also was quite flexible with our check-in and checkout times, which we greatly appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend Eric's place!

I wish I could give 6 stars. I have traveled to many places but this was my all time favorite. There’s such a unique and special feel to this cozy little cabin. The cabin was clean, and had everything we could’ve needed. It was warm, inviting and luxurious at the same time. 10/10 I would recommend to all others. This is the nicest and cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed at. It is better than described in every way. The view is beautiful and so are the surroundings. It is a very quiet and peaceful venue. Gina was always very fast to respond if needed. This place will exceed your expectations!

Carol and Wally’s place is beautiful beyond words! It is peaceful, relaxing, restorative! Everything inside is designed to make you not only comfortable but visually enchanted. Everything we needed was present. Heater worked great and Wally’s special skill with woodworking was exceptional throughout this extremely well built cabin. The “Bug House” was a delightful addition sitting right on the edge of the pond and having a small wood stove with dry wood available for evening or day use. A well built dock is present for use on the pond if desired with kayaks also present. An overall delightful experience which we would not hesitate to use again!

Lori was very generous and kind. Extremely safe neighborhood. She always put my needs above her own. She always had a positive attitude and knew a lot about her town. It was always a pleasure to see and spend time with her. Her dogs were friendly and well controlled.Her house felt like home and her hospitality made it a joy to share. It always felt like I was spending time at a friend’s place. Finally,she always went above and beyond in her duties as host. Finally,if you enjoy walking,there are trails nearby.
