Friendly host, easy to check in and found the house to be as described. Very quiet neighborhood - good place to stay if traveling with family

My stay could not have been better! The place was cozy, cheerful, bright, and peaceful! It had everything I needed, including a private washer and dryer. My stay was 5.5 weeks long, so that was much appreciated! . The kitchen area was great. There were plenty of supplies to keep the place nice and clean while I was there. There were also plenty of bed and bath linens. Maddie was so thoughtful! She provided a bottle of wine, a few cold water bottles in the fridge, and a nice assortment of snacks. All communication with Maddie was easy. She was friendly and helpful. I recommend this lovely place very highly! I hated to leave! I will definitely be wanting to stay there again on the future!

John place was just as described, we felt right at home. John is a nice host and responded right away. Location was great in the middle of town close to a lot of places that we went to. I would definitely stay again.

LOVED all the kitchen amenities which made it convenient for cooking meals. The back porch was so relaxing and had all the things needed to combat mosquitos. Not only do the Twigg's share their home with others but they also provide any amenities that may have been forgotten. Thanks again for sharing your home with us!

Enjoyed being able to spread out as a family of five versus staying at a hotel. Appreciated the blackout blinds, bathroom toiletries, and the waters chilled in the fridge. We walked everywhere even though we had a rental car - Snow City Cafe, Glacier Brewhouse, Log Cabin Visitors Center, Anchorage Museum, etc.

Jennifer was very helpful with suggestions on what to check out around town. She’s also super flexible with us booking the day before and letting us drop our luggage off earlier than the listed check. Only stayed for a day, but definitely worth it!

Christine was a great host and we had a lot of extras, including breakfast and fruit. Definitely fantastic value for this place and would definitely recommend!

Everything was great and great location for visiting Anchorage. Nice and spacious for two people. Very close to downtown and walkable very easy to get to everything we needed to do or see. When I come back, this will definitely be my first choice, and I will recommend it to my friends and clients as well.

Didn’t have a pen on hand to write in the book, the place felt exactly like home, the view in the kitchen was beautiful!, the shower/tub was definitely wonderful after long walking! 10/10 would recommend and would stay again! Also the hosts are super friendly and respond fast!

Kim’s place was lovely to stay in great neighbors. Beautiful surroundings, especially the ocean view binoculars that we used. Also, the Airbnb is equipped with bear spray, which luckily we did not use comfortable bed clean home. Everything you need for cooking.

Amazing airbnb with amazing hosts. Definitely recommended and will try and stay again if available.

This place more than exceeded our expectations everything was very thoughtful! Full kitchen with all the amenities made cooking a breeze! The dishwasher made quick work of the dishes after. The washer and dryer is such a plus! The bathroom heated floors! The hot tub very clean and well maintained and the view so peaceful! The book with helpful resources and local recommendations was such a lovely touch! This could easily sleep 6 people and with it just being the two of us we felt like royalty staying here! Don’t miss out on this location memories made here will last a lifetime!

We ended up staying in both of Tamara’s cabins due to availability. They are both absolutely gorgeous. Incredibly peaceful and quiet, very well designed and equipped with everything you could need and more. The attention to detail is amazing. Even the outdoor shower and outhouse were super clean and comfortable. We had a slight preference for the original tiny cabin just because of the Mountain View and gorgeous porch to have a morning coffee, but both were super cosy and comfortable. Great location within McCarthy too.

Kate was amazing -- rare in every way. The place is incredible, warm, clean, unique. Her breakfast - exquisite and tailored to each person's needs. But more than anything else - she herself is facinating, full of stories of the place and its histories, woven within her own family's background and their engagment with the place since the 1800. You can't find a better place to stay at!

We are 1.5 weeks into our visit to Alaska. Traveling every town! But nothing beats our stay on the lake with June. It was Absolutely beautiful and everything/ more than what we imagined for our wedding night! I can not stress enough how much this stay meant to us! The views, bed comfort, fire place and bathroom just blew us away!!! Don’t pass up!!!!! You will regret it!

Russ and Glenda were the warmest host ever. Felt like we went back to our grandparent’s home. Super welcoming. Though we only stayed 1 night, they made sure we felt right at home. Sharing conversations and experiences; allowing us to use the shared kitchen. The attic on the 2nd floor has no door; so the room is just up the stairs. Having said that, they gave us our privacy and space. Glenda also provided breakfast and fruit salad for us. We were grateful and thankful for staying in such a beautiful home.

All we needed for a two night stay. We had no complaints about breakfast. He leaves an option of several items that you can choose from. You can choose two per person. you let him know before 6 pm what you would like and he has individual plates covered in the fridge the next morning that you can heat up in the microwave. This worked well for us so we could be on our own schedule. There was also plenty of fresh fruit, tea and coffee. Washing machine was available downstairs. There was a toaster oven for use in our place which was nice. It is true that the shower is a little strange because the shower head is quite short. For 4 people it did feel a little cramped but there was a place for everyone to sleep and eat and The view was the best! Thank you Barry!

Can't say enough about the Red Cabin B&B! We stayed in the smaller annex which was everything we needed. The location is just perfect, remote yet close to Kenai and Soldatna and all the area offers, a great home base while in the area. John and Jacquie are wonderful hosts, eager to share their love and extensive knowledge of the area. The cabin was clean and well-stocked with fresh fruit, coffee, and plenty of breakfast food. The welcoming committee, Lola, Sandy and three horses was a happy surprise! A great place to stay in this area, hope to return some day.

Very comfortable and quiet location. We were able to bring our dog which meant a lot to us. Very responsive and polite hosts.

It was very easy to communicate and a very nice space for my trip. Joanna provided everything I needed and made my stay very nice. I am grateful to her for sharing her home.
