Lake house holiday rentals in Alaska

Daniel’s place had an amazing lakeside view and the house was fully stocked with anything you needed. Even had the opportunity to use the kayaks with life jackets from the garage. Would most definitely stay again. Friend left her camera behind after check out and he was very quick to respond and help us with recovering it. Great stay!

This was a fun place to stay! The views were amazing and the kids especially enjoyed riding the elevator to the top floor (my youngest is 12 and could be trusted with it. If you have younger ones that might be a consideration). This is a great location for making a day trip up to Denali or for visiting any of the other trails or parks around the area. Note the water had a bit of a taste to it. The provided britta filter took care of it mostly but if you’re picky bringing some bottled water may be a good idea. Everything was spotlessly clean and had a vintage Alaska feel. We’d definitely recommend for any friends.

There aren’t adequate words to say for Troy’s place! It is amazingly beautiful and relaxing. He has done an excellent job of decorating and proving necessities for a stay. The beds were very comfortable. Be easy with the heat… it feels amazing on my feet (floor heated) but it will warm up very well… cools off slowly. I just wished I had planned on staying longer. Definitely #1 on our list.

My family and I loved this lake house. The home was incredibly clean and organized. The beds were super comfy and the toiletry amenities were high quality. We spent the morning on the lake in the paddle boats and saw lots of trout! Laurie was super friendly and gave great instructions for check in. Highly recommend this place.

We had a great time staying here and experiencing Alaska. All the instructions were clear and detailed. Marna was also responsive and available if needed. We loved the location-it was exactly the vibe we were looking to have for our vacation. Thank you for the place to stay!

Cabin was easy to get to. It is far away from everything, but the directions were spot on. Cabin was clean and Big Lake is gorgeous at New Years.

Joe and Aranda's place is so cozy. We stayed 4 nights and wish it could have been longer. This cabin felt like going home after exploring Homer and was also wonderful when it rained all day and we didn't go out. Recommend staying here and hopefully I can do it again when back in Homer.

Peter’s place is a cozy retreat nestled in the woods with a beautiful view of the lake. We especially loved the charming birdhouses and the peaceful sounds of nature. The home is conveniently located—close to all the main activities in Talkeetna and just about two hours from Denali National Park. It had everything we needed. The hot water and heating worked perfectly. Peter is a very responsive and helpful host. Overall, a wonderful stay in Talkeetna!

All I can say about this BnB is WOW! The view was stunning, the host was the absolute sweetest and we had a beautiful time! We had 12 people and it accommodated us all with room to spare! We used the space as a bachelor and bachelorette party and it was the most beautiful place that I think we could have chose! It was secluded but not too far away from stores and other amenities! 10 out of 10 would recommend everyone to stay here for their visit to willow!

Amber was amazing! We communicated periodically for several months before our stay, about things to do, amenities at the home, and other trip-related matters. Amber was always super responsive and went above and beyond. The hot tub was incredible, especially with the gorgeous lake view, and it was nice to be able to grill dinner each night on the back deck. There was plenty of room for the six of us, and we all felt right at home. For those interested in fishing, the place is situated about halfway between the Kenai and Kasilof Rivers and between Seward and Homer. There is also a freezer on the back deck for storing fish, as well as an excellent processor up the road in Soldotna (Tanner’s). The kitchen was supplied with everything but your food (spices, pots and pans, utensils, etc.), and the washer & dryer came in very handy. I could go on and on, but I’ll just end by saying that we would 100% stay with Amber again if we’re back on the peninsula.

Such a sweetly situated and lovely home!! We all loved it and felt more than comfortable. The home had nooks and crannies full of Alaska findings and spacious views of the canal and neighboring historic homes. It was such a pleasure to stay here!!!

The outside and inside were both immaculate, and how clean and comfortable it felt when walking in through the front door. I really loved the bedroom layout. It felt like a log cabin from a Western movie. Definitely jealous and wish I could rent that place out as my own home. They make it an apartment lol . The place was amazingly best air B&B iv ever stayed at deffianly will use again for a weekend get aways

Only got to stay at this property for a single night, but my goodness would I have stayed here longer! It's a beautiful property with plenty of room for a large group and lots of activities to do in either the winter or summer right there on the property. Jennifer was an excellent host and was always ready for a response when we needed it.

While the bathrooms could use some love, the house has everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with what you would need. Biggest plus was we were actually able to see the northern lights off the back patio.

Kathy's is the ideal spot for folks who want to be close, but not too, to downtown for its activities and dining etc. We enjoyed at the end of the day, sitting on her deck and just watching the lake and mountains. Clean and well kept, the house is very livable. We'll certainly look to see if Kathy's is available when next we visit Anchorage.

We had a great stay at Sommer and Ben’s cabin! This was by far the best vacation rental we have stayed in to date! Everything was so thoughtful and the amenities could not be beat. The beds were comfy, master bathroom was great, and the common spaces were incredibly inviting. Every cooking utensil you could ever need was available and the Traeger pellet grill did not disappoint. Each morning the espresso machine kept us moving and each evening the hot tub helped us wind down. Beautiful home with beautiful views in every direction! Highly impressed!

We had a wonderful stay at Mindy’s place. The house is built high up on the rocks making for a beautiful view. I contacted her a couple times and she responded immediately. The house was immaculately clean and cozy. We would love to stay there again if we’re ever back in Ketchikan.

I'd give Don and his home 10 stars if I could. Don was a fantastic host and his house is absolutely beautiful. The pictures on his listing really do not do it justice. The home is spacious, well appointed and has everything you need ti make you feel at home. We especially appreciated the gourmet kitchen stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook a meal, the supply Keruig coffee pods he provided. His home is in a great location outside of downtown Juneau, on a beautiful lake. It's close to everything you want to see. but far enough away from town that you feel like your secluded in the woods. We had a great time and we'll definitely stay here again when our travels bring us back to Juneau.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great accommodations and had everything that we needed. Great host and communication was great. Any questions that we had were quickly replied to. Would definitely recommend this place.

Amazing place and easily fit two families!! Gorgeous interior with the rustic Alaskan feel and the location is perfect, a little off of the main coopers landing road but walking distance to the main gas station and Kenai River. Absolutely great place and super reasonable price: )

If you like looking out the kitchen window at a lake, you'll love this place!
