Good house

Gecko house has everything we needed and more for our stay in Bagamoyo. Alison was very available and also flexible with our check in. The staff very kind ready to solve any little issue that would occur. The cottage is clean and big enough for two people to have a very comfortable stay. The presence of windows to the two opposite sides of the cottage also helps with the heat. The position is amazingly central, but not right in the more touristy side, so you can have a feeling of everyday life happening around you. I would definitely recommend Gecko cottage and we will surely book again when we are back.

Fantastic place, I would highly recommended. The host is warm, responsive and extremely helpful. A lovely way to experience Dar. The house is clean and well maintained & the host was available for a walk through. I enjoyed my stay.

This was our second stay with Stephanie after returning from Mikumi, and it was just as lovely as the first. She was very considerate and even offered us an early check-in if needed. We really enjoyed relaxing in the cosy living room, watching Netflix, and enjoying the breeze. Shops are within walking distance if you like to explore, but I especially appreciated having a peaceful space to rest, a fully equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals, and convenient laundry facilities before heading off to work in another region. Stephanie even kindly offered to send us anything we might need from Dar while we were away for work. There were also books available — I just wish I had time to finish the one I started! She was always responsive and full of great recommendations.
