“We had a fantastic stay. Maggie was very friendly and the lodge was very clean and had everything we needed. The location was fantastic, so close to York centre, less than a 10 min walk. We would highly recommend Maggie's place and would definitely stay there again.”

“We really loved the space - the styling (the art!), the amenities, comfort, and the flexibility in arriving. Although we only had a brief interaction with Julia, she was incredibly welcoming and had basically thought of everything, including herbal teas. We’d really recommend a stay in Julia’s lovely home.”
This is a large 5 bedroom Victorian property in a quiet area of the city centre surrounded but the Ancient City Walls. This is a friendly, warm and comfortable home and judging by the many positive reviews, our guests love staying here. I live here with my 16 year old daughter and we have a number of our rooms on Airbnb so you are likely to meet other guests during your stay with us. “Wonderful space and experience in York! Jelle was very responsive and the welcome gift bag he left me was so extremely kind and helpful! The location was perfect for us too. We attended a concert at The Fulford Arms (a very cool, punk/rock/indie music venue) that was only a short walk away across the bridge and through some historic areas of town. Everything in York is so historic anyway, which made it so easy to wander town and see some great museums/castle walls/memorials/etc. Jelle's kitchen and living room was lovely, and we wish we stayed longer to take advantage of the amenities he provided. And I could easily see myself spending a week in York just to experience the art, history, and social activities that it offers!”
