Felt like home from home. Very comfortable and cosy. A beautiful area too.

We had a great stay in Hawes, the house had everything we needed. Hawes and surrounding areas are beautiful. Diane left some suggestions of things to do and we did the waterfall in Hardraw, and the highest inn in England, both fantastic.

What an absolutely stunning location! We wanted a relaxing break and this is exactly what we got. Vicki and Tom have created something really special. The Hayloft is small yet had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were plenty of books and games to enjoy. Vicki greeted us at the door, making us feel welcome and had left us some homemade treats. The kids had a blast, exploring the grounds, playing on the trampoline and climbing the nearby hill to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets flying overhead. There was a lovely walk to the river and you can roam freely over the fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep and horses roam and also saw deer, rabbits, frogs and kestrels. The house has a view of the Settle-Carlisle railway so we enjoyed a bit of train spotting too. There was so much to soak up before we even thought about heading out. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen had plenty of shops and we enjoyed a meal from The Mango Tree Indian. We would 100% recommend a stay here!

If I could give this Airbnb a 10, I would absolutely give it a 10. I had the best time while staying there. Beautiful flowing stream just makes it even more relaxing when the windows are open. The Debra Cottage is so beautiful and more. Cozy, safe, and lots of trail hiking nearby. I can’t recommend the cottage more as I just loved it and felt right at home.
