Great place Be mind full slops close early, and only way is walking up hill

Matt's place was perfect for our trip to Timberline for the weekend. plenty of space for everyone.

Everything was about house/location was great and we eould like to come again except the roads were not cleaned and our cars were skidding in the snow and were struck fouple of times

Matt was great with communication. The place was nice and big and suitable for a small group of colleagues for a ski trip. Check in and check out was easy. My only (small complaint) is that checkout is at 10:30

This was the perfect spot for a honeymoon. The cabin was gorgeous and had some Christmas decor which was very festive. I’d recommend to anyone and would love to come back.

We enjoyed our Easter weekend in the mountains at this beautiful cabin. We were close to the main road but still felt secluded. There are other houses very close by but being the off season, we didn’t have any neighbors during our stay. Plenty of space and everything was available that was listed.

We had a lovely time and really enjoyed the coziness of the fireplace. plenty of places to buy wood in town. the view was beaitiful and Davis and Thomas had a number of good options for food and drink.

We loved this house!! Being beside the slopes was great. There’s lots of room to spread out. The kitchen is big enough for several work areas. Timberline was what we needed for beginning skiers- practice area was right beside the house. And,Canaan is breathtakingly beautiful. If it is winter when you come, bring ice salt. The snow blows over the walkway and gets slippery. No problems at all. We would love to return in summer. Hiking is all around the valley. Restaurants in Davis were great. Everyone is friendly and super helpful to the tourists. One of our best vacations!

Fabulous house with detached suite for privacy for our group. Very clean and comfortable with many amenities. Walk right to Davis to shop and eat! Fireplace added warmth and camp vibes! Will come again!

An absolutely cute cabin with a massive back yard. The cabin was simple but there was a ton of attention to detail when it came to the decorations and amenities and general vibe. Our dog LOOOOOVED the massive fenced-in back yard. 10/10 would stay again.

Enjoyed my stay. Building is one half of a 2 unit townhome but felt very private, both inside and out. Hot tub and fireplace both were easy to work with clear instructions for hot tub use. Place was clean and cozy with comfortable beds. Location was convenient to the ski areas, and a nice view of Timberline was available through the trees from the back porch or hot tub area. The office for check in was about a 6 minute drive from the property, and check in was hassle free, with a simple pick up and drop off box for the keys. Matt was responded very quickly (less than 10 minutes) to a question I had while driving to the property. Kitchen appliances are a little old but everything is perfectly functional and well stocked in terms of dishes and cookware. It’s a great value and I would recommend to others.

Our stay was amazing waking up and drinking a cup of coffee looking at the lake was my favorite.

We had a wonderful winter stay! The house was inviting and cozy, and as other guests have mentioned well appointed with comfortable beds.

This was our second stay at the cabin and it was fantastic! We will definitely be back. Housekeeping did a great job. The cabin was immaculate. The cabin had everything we needed for a great escape Birthday weekend trip. We didn’t want to leave!

Our family and one other spent the New Year's holiday weekend at Skier's View while skiing at nearby Timberline Resort with our kids. Colleen was extremely proactive in sharing all of the pertinent info and went above and beyond to detail every aspect of the home as well as the surrounding community. The rental was a great price and had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the beautiful view of Timberline, Canaan, and Whitegrass. We have stayed at many homes in the Valley and this was our favorite!

This home is historic, and while it could use a little extra TLC here and there, it was such a lucky find! Located right next to the river, you can walk the trail that leads to the next town over, plus you can hear it at night when you step out. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked with cookware, and there are space heaters should you get cold at night. The vault was the best part about the house. It was converted into the bathroom, but it was very cool to see what it once looked like. I love peace and quiet and you get exactly that with this home. There are many parks nearby too! You have to go in town for groceries and restaurants, but fortunately it’s a short 5 min drive away. We got to chat with some of the locals and everyone is so kind and warm, It’s absolutely beautiful out here. Even the drives to and from are stunning. We stayed for a month and were very lucky that Emily and Sarah made it affordable to us. This was such a great find.

Great cabin I wish the check out time was later I felt rushed checking out by 10am I also don’t understand why I paid for cleaning service if we had to clean before checking out

Loved staying at Lazy Bear Lodge. Beautiful home with privacy on big property. Hosts were super responsive and gave great local recommendations. Very accessible to hiking and white water rafting.

We had an amazing stay at Home Sweet Home. The house was very clean, neighborhood was quiet but friendly. We were lake adjacent, used the dock space, and even took advantage of the community center. Thank you so much!

We booked James’s place at the last minute, and we chose it for the location rather than the accommodation. However, when we arrived we had a wonderful surprise, because it was much nicer than the photos had let us to believe. It was spacious and comfortable, with a good-sized kitchen and a lovely sitting area. The kids loved having the playground outside, and it was amazing to soak in the hot tub surrounded by snow, watching the stars come out. We also enjoyed using the indoor swimming pool and games room, and visiting the ponies at the riding centre. The kids sledded down the hill outside and we also went sledding at Blackwater Falls, which was fantastic. The waterfall looked so beautiful with all the icicles. We didn’t have time to try Timberline, but the skiing at Canaan Valley was reasonably priced and great fun. We also had a few nice meals in Davis and Thomas, and a beautiful walk to Douglas falls. Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we will definitely come again if we can…

We stayed at David's wonderful home for a few days around the New Year's. The kitchen was well appointed, the beds comfortable and the gas fireplace was really comforting when it was cold and stormy outside. wonderful location close to the national wildlife refuge, State Parks and the great little towns of Davis and Thomas West Virginia. highly recommended!

Almost Heaven! Perfect home, perfect location for a family get-together. Bedrooms and bathrooms are comfortable and all needs will be met. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. Just bring food! The lake is crystal clear and beautiful, and tall trees cover the landscape. The deer, chipmunks, squirrels and birds are right outside the door. The firepit was our evening spot to gather and chat. And toast marshmallows. And even though the kids are in their 40's, they made s'mores! This is a place to revive your soul. I could stay here forever.

A fantastic stay for my family, we truly enjoyed the ample space for our family of 7. We truly could have fit 12 people in this spot. It was nicely decorated with ample kitchen utensils and appliances! Highly recommend!!
