We had a wonderful stay in Claire’s beautiful shepherd’s hut. The location is stunning, with amazing views of the Highlands and total peace and quiet. The hut is cozy, spotless, and has everything you need. Claire is a warm and helpful host – we felt very welcome. We’d love to come back!

We had a short but very enjoyable stay in the 'Cooshed' - I'm normally a bit wary about places which are essentially in someone's garden, but it never felt like we were intruding on the hosts (who have a lovely house and garden). The fit and finish is great, the decor is very tasteful and it is very well-equipped. The half-size dishwasher was a real bonus, very useful to have a washing machine available too. It wasn't really cold enough to 'need' the woodburner but it seemed rude not to fire it up - I did see sub-zero temperatures forecast for one of the nights we were there! I thought the ladder up to the bed might be a pain, but it's fine - good thought to provide a subtle night-light downstairs. We managed to find some good walking and running routes straight from the property - the forestry plantation up behind is a bit bleak and spooky (even with red squirrels), but along the River Don and up Ben Newe before breakfast on a sunny day was a real highlight! Definitely recommended.

So much comfort in such a tiny house, unbelievable. There is even a heater outside to sit and enjoy the surroundings. What a great place to be. Debbie is maybe the best and most friendly host I have ever met. She is really great. Always fast in responding, giving advice and help with any issue that comes up. Very glad that we changed our stay form 2 to 3 nights. It was really worth it. The only things for improvement would be a small shelf above the bed to put your glasses and book and to have a small reading light near the bed. Also a small camping-table would be handy for your dinner. Luckaly we had one with us. And finally maybe a curtain between sleep and sit-area if one wants to read and the other one go to sleep. But that's all minor issues compared to this excellent location. Thanks again Debbie
