Monthly Rentals in Thornthwaite

A lovely property with spectacular views. All amenities as mentioned in the advertisement. Very clean and well maintained. The host had even kept printed recommendations of what to do in the nearby area (like walking trails etc) which was very helpful to plan our day. We stayed as a family for two nights.

Out first time at Nia and Jonathan's. Well laid out and functional, and a lovely garden. All applicances (washing machine, oven, hotplates, fridge freezer, toaster, drying rail) were modern and in good order and the wifi performed well. We were very grateful for Nia and Jonathan making space in their garden shed for our bicycles, so they were kept dry and safe. The location turned out to be better than we thought: easy access to the local area, including Keswick using the buses, walking or bicycling. Some lovely walking and bicycling routes right from the front door, a very nice and friendly local gallery and cafe with good food just around the corner - a nice compromise avoiding noise and traffic without being overly isolated. And we enjoyed close-ups of the red squirrel in the garden as it pottered around right outside the kitchen window :-)

Beck View is a beautiful apartment in an idyllic setting. The beck that runs past is fast flowing and surrounded by Kim’s well landscaped garden. We were able to sit in our terrace watching the water in the morning light , or move into the garden for sun later in the day. The apartment is everything you need and. Dry well maintained and presented. We loved the retro-looking fridge and funky furniture. Kim was helpful and knowledgeable, often around if we had any questions. Walks fro the door into the forest, and a short drive to lots of fabulous walks - and/or a swim in Bassenthwaite! Highly recommended! Thank you Kim

We had a great stay, definitely helped by the weather. Bassenthwaite is a great location to explore lots of the northern and western lakes and tick off more wainwrights for us. We had a lovely meal at the village pub just around the corner and enjoyed sitting by the stream. The place is very homely and has a very well equipped kitchen to self cater. We’d definitely recommend. Thank you for a lovely stay
