Monthly Rentals in Thongsbridge

This was our first time to Holmfirth. The house was easy to fine via Google maps. When we arrived it was a bit tricky to find but we got there in the end. Unfortunately the smoke alarm was beeping pretty loudly so we had to disconnect it. We contacted David and he was very understanding. It s a pleasant walk into Holmfirth from the house about 30-40 mins. You have an Aldi or Lidl either direction about a 5-10 minute walk. The house itself was lovely and we sat out watching the wildlife on the river. Saw a Heron this morning! We would visit again. Thank you.

I had a lovely stay and felt warmly welcomed from the moment I arrived. Host Emma was very helpful, which I especially appreciated as I was feeling a bit flustered after a long drive. Her thoughtful hospitality made all the difference. It was a wonderful surprise to find the place stocked with milk, eggs, crumpets, teas, jams, biscuits, and even a Terry’s chocolate orange—such a kind touch, and I really needed this after arriving late and too tired to go out for food. The bed was very comfortable, and the whole stay felt cozy and relaxing. There’s a lovely little seating area just by the window where you can enjoy a drink while taking in the beautiful views of the hills in the distance. The location is also excellent—just a short walk into town and only about a 6-minute drive to great walking spots in the hills. Highly recommended!

Lovely stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Very warm and friendly welcome from the hosts, Suzanne and Ian who were there to meet me and explained how everything worked. Welcome pack a nice bonus and very much appreciated after a long drive. Flat was beautiful, light and airy but at the same time, homely and welcoming. Very peaceful location and felt very safe there, something very important to me as a female guest staying on my own. Great communication and the few queries I had during my stay were answered very quickly. Local shop within walking distance for anything you might need and a coffee shop which looked very inviting and a must try venue for next time. All-in-all, a wonderfully relaxing stay.

We absolutely loved our stay A little gem and Bella our dog loved it too, really dog friendly and lovely touches, dog bed /treats etc. also appreciated the milk bread eggs ! Yes coffee sugar etc which really helped us pack light! We will be back 🥰
