Great place to stay with an even greater host. Some nearby walkable restaurants as well as fruit and vegetable stands. Highly recommended.

The host is very kind and available, the place is well located, walking distance to the train and bus station. We rented bikes from Ashan to go around the temples, it was great, a great experience to enjoy the scenery by bike. We ate on site and it was very good! Only one night but very relaxing, the place is quiet. Ashan made himself available to answer any of our questions and guide us. We strongly recommend!

The place is very clean, tidy and spacious. It’s close to the city and religious sites which was very convenient. Simon, the caretaker is very friendly and always around if you need anything. Would definitely recommend

We stayed here during the Poson festival, where people come from all around to be in this Buddhist capital. The location was perfect with a great view of 7 stupas across the rice paddies. We visited the festival and once we were too hot, returned for a lounge by the pool. Prasanna was very fast at responding to questions and came to meet us on our second night - we sat by the pool and had a chat about his time living in England. The rest of the time we were taken care of by Lucky who lives nearby, owns a tuktuk and ferried us anywhere we wanted to go. His mother also cooked for us at their house and brought it over for us to enjoy. On site is a grounds keeper, Gune who looks after the place and keeps the gardens and pool looking beautiful. We felt very well taken care of. The property was as described, and even better than the photos. We loved seeing the geckos and butterflies in the house, and the monkeys, mongoose and bats from the pool.
