Monthly Rentals in The Catlins

From the moment we arrived, Karl and Melanie made us feel incredibly welcome. Karl greeted us at our vehicle with a warm smile, after we settled in, Melanie brought some fresh fruit and extended a kind invitation to join them for a chat later that evening. The room and the view were absolutely stunning—we must have taken a million photos! As the sun set in spectacular fashion, we finally had the rare chance to unwind and catch up on our WWII reading, something we never seem to find time for at home. The next morning, we were touched to be invited on a tour of the farm, but unfortunately had to leave early due to other commitments. It was hard to tear ourselves away, but we left already planning our next visit. Next time, we’ll stay longer and definitely take them up on that chat and the farm tour. Thank you, Karl and Melanie, for such a warm and relaxing experience. Highly recommended!

What a fantastic stay, start to finish. the location was picturesque, even if it was rainy and stormy. The 'shack', it is affectionately named, was exactly as described. The ony thing I was unable to confirm prior to arrival was the heating. There is 2 heaters and they did a fantastic job. The shack had everything you needed and Ashlee has thought of everything, we loved the personal touches. The instructions are clear, everything had been thought of. After you stay you can see why Ashlee is top rated. Would 10/10 recommend and stay again.

Cute and cosy cabin with a ridiculously comfortable bed, great kitchen and bathroom amenities. Lovely views of surrounding bush and cliffs on the horizon. Papatowai has a few short walks, a nice beach and short drive to a lot of other places in the Catlins. Usually busy in Summer but I stayed at the very beginning of winter so I had a few bad weather days - but the WiFi helped! David was a great host with a friendly wee dog, chickens and sheep. I'd love to visit again in the summer

We had amazing stay........ The place was as described, and more. We had loads of room and all the things we expected and needed A beautiful new facility with modern appliances and fixtures Weather was totally against us with snow and hail throughout the weekend, but with amazing ocean views, plenty of puzzles and loads of room, we had some great family time ! Ceri's communication throughout was 1st class We'll be back !!
