Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Sussex County

We needed a place to stay while we transitioned to Delaware. This was the perfect place for us. It was close to the beach, comfortable, very quite, and everyone was so friendly. We felt like we were at home even if it was a temporary stop. There was plenty of space and things we needed to make our stay smooth. Shane and Erin were helpful and wonderful hosts, they let us know of upcoming event's and if there was anything we should be aware of. I would recommend this place to couples or families. We stayed during the holidays and it felt magical to be there during this time.

Greg’s place was above and beyond what we wanted as a girls trip! The accommodations provided were exactly what we wanted and needed. The location couldn’t be more perfect. The house made me feel at home and the area was very quiet and friendly. Would come back again!

Bernard & Allison have thought of everything! The house has everything you could need to prepare meals (pots & pans, plates, cups, etc), as well as everything you need to make clean up a breeze (dish soap, dish detergent, kitchen towels, broom & mop, washer & dryer). The bathrooms have plenty of towels for everyone, as well as enough paper products to get you started. The bedrooms easily accommodate 8 people, and there is plenty of seating for a large party. The outdoor space is very private and includes everything you need to spend time outdoors (grill, fire pit with wood, cornhole, bikes, and outdoor games). This is the second time we’ve been hosted by Bernard & Allison (also at their other Milton property), and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Milton. They are friendly, responsive, and they really go the extra mile to insure a comfortable stay for their guests!

The house was perfect for our stay and had all kinds of extra amenities. Everything was spotlessly clean and exactly as described in the listing. The backyard was very nice and the shed had all kinds of beach furniture, towels,umbrellas, ice chests and a great wagon to put it all in. We didn’t want for anything. The house is located on a very busy road with considerable traffic but with the windows closed and A/C on we all slept fine. We spent most of our time at the beach but if you want to spend time outdoors in the backyard, you will find it pretty noisy. Otherwise it’s a terrific place!

Linda was so friendly and responsive to all my questions. Her place is absolutely beautiful, clean, close to the beach and shopping outlets. It felt like home away from home. She thought about every need for her guests, even having bike available! This was my first time booking an Airbnb and the experience will absolutely make me a returning customer.

It's very hard to describe in a few words Jessica's home. Beautiful outside and inside! Beautiful flowers and chairs to relax on the porch. When you walk in the door there was a coffee/tea bar, not sure what to call it. It was very welcoming and inviting. It conveyed the message to have something to drink and relax. Her home is breath taking! It's sooooo beautifully decorated! Loved every room. The patio was beautiful and relaxing. There was a handwritten note welcoming me and my guests. To take the time to do that shows that she really cares and wants you to feel welcomed. The note was accompanied by snacks. Next to that there was a booklet that was very well done. It explained everything that you needed to know with pictures, how to use the grill, the fire pit, places to eat. She thought of EVERYTHING! I've stayed at many Airbnb's, but Jessica's home is by far my most FAVORITE. It was worth the price and I can't wait to come back again!!! An absolute CLASS ACT! THANK YOU JESSICA!

We LOVED staying here for a quick weekend trip. The location was absolutely perfect and convenient, and the condo itself was beautiful! It was very clean and well-maintained, and the pool deck and other amenities were wonderful. We didn’t have any issues as Gail was extremely thorough with her check-in and check-out instructions! I could not recommend this place enough and would love to stay here again during peak season!

We had a pleasant stay here for the weekend while we were visiting our kids during their summer camp break. It's a quiet neighborhood away from the beach chaos -- and a nice place for dog walking -- but it's still easy to get to pretty much anywhere.

You could not ask for a better dog friendly location so close to the beach. This is the closest I have every stayed to the ocean while at the beach and now I can never go back. Larry and Dell were excellent hosts. Their local tips and recommendations were very helpful. It was my dog Benny's first trip to the ocean and if was great to have fellow dog-lovers to rely on for good information on the pet friendly places in the area. We would definitely stay again on another trip to Dewey.

Lea’s place was the perfect spot for a couple looking to visit the nearby beaches, attractions and restaurants while also being able to enjoy a peaceful, relaxing waterfront view from the home. There is ample space in the yard for playing lawn games, relaxing in chairs by the fire pit or sitting at the tiki bar. We didn’t end up kayaking, but there were plenty of kayaks available for use. We appreciated the beach chairs and umbrella that were on-site and used them at the beach. We also had fun playing a card game in the sun room while watching the sun set over the water. The unit was clean and spacious for two people. The AC and ceiling fans worked great. The bed/mattress was quite comfortable. The kitchen met our needs for preparing breakfast there every morning. The hosts were very responsive and provided helpful information. Great quiet spot!

The place was great . Extremely clean and great location . Literally steps to the pool is not an exaggeration , pool access right our your patio door. Great location within walking distance of bars and nightlife. Would definitely stay again. Parking is a short walk from the condo but detailed instructions are provided by the host. We had no issues but host was available via text if anything had come up.

We loved our stay here- the condo was beautifully furnished and conveniently located in Dewey Beach. You can't beat being on the bay and a two minute walk from the beach. Communication, amenities, cleanliness and comfort were all top notch. We loved it so much that we extended our stay on the host's hotel recommendation! Already recommending this place to friends who want to stay in the area!!

It was peaceful. We were looking for a place to recharge, and there was peace and nature.

Lea and Skip were wonderful hosts. The place is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature - the pictures didn’t do it justice! We were pleasantly surprised to find a fire pit, Adirondack chairs, crab traps and even kayaks to use during our stay (it was too windy during our visit, so we hope to come back to use those!) The towns are really cute with shops and restaurants, and we visited a winery and a distillery in our adventures. Close to the beach towns, but off the beaten path. Thank you again for the great accommodations! We will be back!

We had a amazing stay at Cecelia’s Retreat. Jonelle was a gracious host and was helpful, accommodating and fast to respond. If you a looking for a quiet cabin in the woods that is a short distance from several of the best beach areas Delaware has to offer, I highly recommend this stay!

The place is super cozy and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. It's the perfect spot to unwind after a busy beach day-quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by nature, yet close to everything. We especially enjoyed being close to outlet stores and restaurants, as well as Lewes, Rehoboth and Bethany Beach. Traveling with our dog was easy; the spacious backyard was perfect for our pup to run around and enjoy the fresh air. Johnson was very attentive and quick to respond, which made everything smooth and stress-free. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!
