Farmstay holiday rentals in Sullivan County

We enjoyed the lovely cozy, private cottage with our family. It was a pleasure to have the animals nearby for the kids to interact with, a safe environment to roam in the woods, and very convenient to have the farm shop a few steps away for local eggs, meats, etc. The cottage was stylishly modern with a clean aesthetic and modern conveniences. Josh was very accessible via text/phone and checked in with us during our stay. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly and would recommend to nature lovers, families, and those looking for a getaway in the woods!

This A-frame escape was exactly what I needed — the perfect break from the city. The place is beautifully designed, cozy, and filled with thoughtful touches. The jacuzzi was absolutely incredible, especially under the stars at night, and the A-frame structure made the whole stay feel like a peaceful retreat.

The stay was amazing, very responsive and accommodating host! The place was very clean, beautiful and relaxing.

A lovely quiet spot in the countryside where we felt right at home. The fully equipped kitchen was particularly helpful for breakfasts and the house's close proximity to Liberty meant it wasn't far to go get dinner. John's communication with us was excellent and check-in and check-out were straightforward, as well. If we visit the area again, we would definitely stay here.

My boyfriend and I enjoyed staying at this property. If you want to take a break from noises and hustle of a city Tom’s place can provide the most comfortable way to unite with Nature.

Gorgeous house, super clean and tidy inside, with comfy and modern furniture. The hot tub was fantastic, make sure you turn off the lights so you can see the stars! The only other heads up I’ll give is that the way to get in is through the back entrance! We tried the front door for like 5 minutes until the electronic lock blocked us from continuing haha. Great location to get away from the city for a weekend and go hiking. Lots of great trails really close by.

This was a great house for our 3-generation family (with dogs) get-together. Big rooms with places for the kids to play and space for them to run around. Huge kitchen! (Though we didn't cook much.) And the big dining table was able to fit us all easily. We enjoyed seeing the farm animals and the walk to the lake and around some trails. The yard is big and far enough away from the road to let our dogs chase balls safely. We missed the driveway our first time since it wasn't marked and the house didn't look like the photo from our direction (we came from the south and west on 52) but once we got to the lake side it was obvious. The owner lives nearby and was very responsive and friendly (including letting us into the edge of the farmyard to get a closer view of the animals). We hope to come again in the future.

The home is a beautifully secluded gem just like the photos suggest. It felt like home! The run along the side of the home, falling over the mountain stones and eventually meeting the lake below was a bonus that most hosts can only dream about having. One of the most relaxing stays we ever had. Enjoy a 3 mile run around the lake, or just sit out in the screened in deck with a French pressed coffee and a bagel 🥯. This retreat has what you're looking for if you want to get away and truly relax. Thank you Ruth and Andrew for allowing us to stay in your home. Cant wait to stay again. ❤️

This property is a wonderful place to stay. It is as described and communicating with Ellie and Martina couldn't be easier. Our group of 5 was there to fish the lake and enjoy a relaxing weekend. The fishing was great, multiple 2.5+ LB bass along with 4 or 5 other species of fish as well. It did rain one day while we were there, but the screened in porch was a nice place to hang out and play some cards while we waited out the weather. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay and we'd highly recommend giving this property a chance. Martina even gave us fresh eggs from chicken coop which were delicious! Thanks to Martina and Ellie for letting us stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

We had a wonderful time at Eric's place. If fit our family of four and our two little dogs perfectly. We went to Bethel, NY to see a concert at teh Bethel Woods Center for the Arts. It was only a 20 min. drive. The people in town and nearby towns were very friendly. I highly recomend Eric's place. I don't think you can find a better place to stay in the area.

It was a wonderful stay in such a cute town! We really appreciated the fact that it was pet friendly! My boyfriend especially loved the shampoo and conditioner that was in the shower- he said it smelled incredible. Also, the bed was incredibly comfortable. The power ended up going out (while we were at the wedding reception!) and Susanne was proactive and reached out to make sure we were okay and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back and would love to stay again when the time comes!

Our second visit to Matt’s place was just as magical as the first, if not more so! It's the perfect place to immerse yourself in nature, offering a wonderfully isolated feel while still being conveniently close to quaint towns, great hikes and breweries. The light and the land surrounding the house are truly breathtaking, and we’re grateful it’s dog friendly. We absolutely loved our time here and can't wait to return.

Our three generation family met at Kaethe's Mountain Dale home for a 5 day Thanksgiving weekend - there were 10 of us, including 4 children. The large kitchen and especially the large living room made it very comfortable to be inside cooking and playing games while we were there. There were lots of fun games to explore - our group really had fun playing Stratego with a vintage set. We woke up to several inches of snow on Thanksgiving morning - beautiful! The fireplace in the living room got a lot of use. We visited Mountain Dale (some of us even went dancing there one night at the Dale), and had two days of hiking: at Minnewaska State Park and also at a park along the Neversink River. It was a great trip in so many ways. Thanks, Kaethe.

We visited Bird Song for two nights to celebrate my sister's 40th birthday. Everything was phenomenal! The house was clean, everything in the kitchen was labeled, the outside deck area was a wonderful space to relax and have a drink while seeing a variety of colorful birds fly by. The grounds had amazing fruit, vegetable, and herb gardens! The high ceilings and openness of the main floor really created the perfect hang space. The master bedroom bed was SO comfortable! We all would love to come back to this property late summer or early fall! In addition, it was a quick ten minute drive to town. We LOVED our stay! We really wish we had a few more nights at the home! Until next time....

Jeff’s home was a great place to stay. It was very close to town, easy to find, and plenty of room for everyone. It had great views and lots of outdoor space. We had many birds and wild life visiting which was charming. Jeff was an excellent host, very responsive and flexible with our checkout time. The hot tub shown on the listing was not working which was disappointing and the fire pit was unusable due to being full of water and wet ashes. Hopefully these amenities get fixed soon! We’re looking forward to coming back soon.

My friends and I had a wonderful weekend at Zach's house. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. The kitchen and dining room space was perfect for our group of five to hang out and share some snacks. House was clean and as described in photos. Super close to cute restaurants, ice cream shops and shopping.

A heartfelt thank you for an unforgettable stay at Escape 2 The Catskills! Our experience was truly fantastic. We cherished our time in the serene mountains, where every detail of the space was thoughtfully designed. Watching deer wander in the morning as we lounged was a peaceful delight, and the massage chair added a perfect touch. A special thanks to Trevonne for being such a wonderful host—your professionalism, kindness, and guidance truly made our stay special and perfectly suited to our needs during this difficult time of bereavement. We’re grateful for this peaceful retreat and highly recommend it to others.

Our group has now stayed at the Fox's Den 3 times and everyone loves it! In particular, it's a super easy place to get our teens off their phones and have fun. The lawn is great for games. If the weather is good, the very nearby lake is of course also fabulous for hanging out and kayaking and swimming. When the weather wasn’t so amazing, the house has a foosball table, a dart board and a million games. Additionally, we appreciate the great communal areas for cooking, eating and hanging out both outside and inside. Chris has always been a responsive and friendly host and this has been one of our favorite places to stay with our family and friends.

I love any part of this place especially the alpacas living in the farm. They are so adorable. My son enjoyed every moment. Thanks for the exceptional experience! Highly recommend it!

Extremely well-equipped home for travelers. The spacious kitchen had everything from wine glasses to plastic dishes for outdoor dining & kids to an extensive collection of spices, teas, and an array of cutting boards. The house was even well-prepared for the seven-hour power outage we experienced due to a windstorm (plenty of wood for the stove-provided by the hosts-as well as battery-powered lamps and extra blankets). Though it would have been great if they'd had a back-up power generator. The house feels cozy and private, has beautiful views from the bathrooms and upstairs workspace, and it was fun exploring the expansive grounds. Communication with Christina was very good. The house is filled with thoughtful touches. Note that the upstairs bathroom has no door, though it does have visual privacy, and you have to go through the bedroom to which that bathroom is essentially connected to get to the master bedroom. Vegans will love Red Dot Cafe located in Wurtsboro, NY.

Hide & Sansan were A+ hosts! Their home is just beautiful, comfortable and pristine! We loved the scenic views & grilling on the patio. Hide & Sansan are very communicate and made it their business that our stay was 5 star!!! Would absolutely stay here again.
