Cottage holiday rentals in Suffolk

Loved our stay at Langetot! Everything was clean & tidy and as expected. Great location with nature all around. The hot tub was a great optional add-on & I enjoyed mornings in there reading & listening to the birds. Just a heads up for those coming from North America - the beds in the UK are quite a bit smaller & shower pressure is lower. We expected this but some might not.

We had a wonderful stay at this amazing little cottage set on a working farm. The views across the fields were absolutely stunning—truly a breath of fresh air. It was the ideal place to unwind and disconnect. Mary and her team were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. They even offered us a later checkout, which was such a kind gesture (though we sadly had to decline as we were eager to get home to see our son). The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing after a peaceful day. And the complimentary bottle of wine, A lovely touch—it went down very well! The nearby village of East Harling is just a 30-minute walk away and has everything you need for a quiet retreat—whether it’s grabbing some basic groceries or enjoying a drink at one of the friendly local pubs. It’s great not having to rely on the car at all. We would highly recommend this cottage to any couple looking for a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. We’ll definitely be back.

Our time here was just amazing. Lovely cottage. Big bedroom with very comfortable beds. Plenty of storage. Extremely clean Bathroom, fab shower. Big Fluffy towels. Great Kitchen. Fab welcome pack. Thank you x. All you needed in kitchen. Plus BBQ utensils. Fab nesspresso coffee machine with Milk part. Lovely views. Great Lounge. Amazing Fire. Yes did use in May :) Amazing hot tub. With clear instructions. Use 4 or 5 x in the week. Lots of Wildlife, we saw a Rabbit and bird of prey. The Barn next door- we met the people staying there twice, v friendly. Clear instructions on where washing Machine was plus pods. Comfortable outside Chairs- with cushions. Halesworth and Beccles V close, Southwold not to far. Al lovely. The Angel in Halesworth reccomend for Food. Cottage was Dog friendly you could shut the big main gate- we didn't need too, as no Dog. But know Lots of people that go away with their pets. A fabulous, well equipped home with a great view and visiting wildlife - pheasants, hares and swallows. Easy walking distance to Suffolk Barn for our family wedding and short drive to Bury St Edmunds. Very comfortable beds, fluffy towels and calming colour scheme. Extremely well equipped kitchen and generous welcome provisions made it easy to feel straight at home. We would love to come back to explore the local area and spend more time taking in the view and relaxing in the tub. Thank you to our hosts who were so accommodating and welcoming.

Pips Cottage was a lovely quaint place, based in a location that opened up lots of other opportunities to get out and about around Suffolk. Ringsfield itself is a sleepy place, with just a pub for leisure time. The cottage was perfect for what we wanted, quiet, but accessible enough to other areas. The cottage is lovely and cosy and had everything you needed for a few days away. Would highly recommend.

We had a perfect weekend break accommodation as described 👌. Joanna left homemade brownies that lasted all of 5 mins 😁 milk, eggs, yoghurts, vase of flowers, cream, and cookies all made the first impression Perfect. We walked throughout the large grounds used the jacuzzi, games room with toilet which had sky tv on a large screen pool table tennis table football and ice hockey game, lots of seating to watch. Very quiet and secluded area 20 25 mins from beccles local pub unfortunately we did not use. Farm shop on site with local fresh produce and everything thing you might need if you have forgotten anything. At night no light contamination so on a clear night we could see a sky full of stars planets etc. Overall perfect place Perfect accommodations and perfect guest 👌 A1.

We arrived in good time and had clear instructions from the host. The photos do not do Justice to this beautiful country cottage in an idyllic setting. Complimentary wine & chocolate. Everything we could have asked and wished for was here. Space, nature, games, BBQ and hot tub, kitchen amenities . We were 7 adults, 1 child and dogs. We never once felt overcrowded. We have literally all had the best short holiday ever. We would book another stay in a heartbeat and stay longer. None of us wanted to leave. Thank you so much.

Philip was a great host, he left us some welcome treats at the house and kept in touch to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. The house was spotless and had everything you could need. It was a home away from home. Only a short walk to the beach which was lovely and clean. Would definitely recommend!

Great place to get away, meet with family and relax. Very dog friendly, which is a massive plus for us. Clean & tidy. Private. Bumped into Chloe just as we were leaving and she was friendly and chatty. I have no doubt if we'd have needed her for anything (which we didn't) she would have sorted it.

Lovely accommodation. Very rustic and would suit most who like a bohemian lifestyle. We enjoyed our stay, although the uneven floors and steep stairs to the top bedroom presented a challenge. We arrived very late, in the dark, and although we had a little difficulty finding the property, Kate was very helpful, and we found our way. Overall, a great stay.

My third stay in this beautiful barn and once again everything was perfect. The large totally secure garden space is such a bonus for the dogs. Jonathan always communicates promptly and is very helpful. I saw a little owl in the garden this time which was the icing on the cake. I totally recommend this peaceful place surrounded by glorious farmland.

White Cottage was exactly as described and did not disappoint. It had very modern amenities in a quirky wrapping, as we loved the low ceilings and uneven floors. Its central position in Beccles meant we did not use the car at all, but walked or bussed everywhere and it was so easy to go out for a meal or drink in the evening. We have never had such comprehensive instructions and links to all the manuals for TV, dishwasher etc.. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was beautifully appointed, very comfortable and well equipped. I think it was even better than the photos! Everything was very clean and the bed was really comfortable. The garden was lovely to sit in and secure for my dog. Nick advised us on the quieter dog walks and we had some lovely walks in the countryside and along the river, with some stunning views. I found that all the dog walkers I met were very considerate and put their dogs on leads even before they realised that mine was reactive. This made the walks much more relaxed than usual. Whilst I didn’t use my car all weekend, as it was just me and my dog, along with the walks there are many things to see and do in this area. I would love to come back with my husband and explore it further. I would definitely recommend the cottage.

A super characterful place to stay with everything you need inside and plenty of lovely walks outside, including the very unique garden. Roderick was extremely helpful and responsive and we had a great time. I would highly recommend.

Perfect place for our family of 4 when visiting friends locally. No 77 was fully equipped with everything we needed. Tea coffee milk in the fridge all provided and COOP near by for a loaf of bread. Parking not a problem at all. We would love to return.

We had a lovely stay - a great place to use as a base to explore the area. House just as described and very cosy and comfortable.

A perfect place for a little getaway. The house was lovely and had everything you’d need. The added bonus of a cream tea and Prosecco waiting for us on arrival was such a lovely touch! Will definitely look to stay here again when back in Bardwell.

I had an amazing stay! The place was spotless, stylish, and exactly as described—if not better. The host was incredibly responsive, friendly, and made check-in a breeze. The location was perfect: close to everything but still peaceful and quiet at night. I especially appreciated the little thoughtful touches throughout the home that made it feel extra welcoming. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Perfect location in the country side. Easy to drive to Stowmarket. Plus good train links if you didn’t want to drive to Bury St Edmund. Accommodation modern and very clean. Loved the bird song in the back garden over a cup of tea. Highly recommend.

We wish we could keep this place to ourselves, The best kept cleanest property we have stayed in for a very long time. Sue and Richard are very responsive and the Cake! Yes Cake! Sue baked was terrific. The surroundings were perfect for us, Fields to the front across the lane and open fields to the back. Pub is about a ten minute walk down the lane (it serves brilliant food) you can also walk through the field via a path which is nice on a beautiful day. The neighbours are very friendly and Hector the dog was brilliant. I seriously have nothing bad to say about Sue and Richards place except we had to leave...at the end of our stay. Yes this is a cottage that we will return to if not buy

We had a lovely stay in Sea View. The house has a lot of character and luckily the weather was good enough to make use of the private garden as well. Plenty of parking outside and lots to explore in the surrounding area. Jill was a great host, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful few days at Aldeburgh, which was all made possible by the fantastic location of “The tides” . There are so many restaurants and pubs in the town and only a walk away along the beach is Thorpness, where amongst other things is the house in the clouds. The Tides itself is perfectly equipped for two people to stay. There are a few steps outside the house and the stairs to the bedroom and bathroom could be a challenge to the less mobile. But for us as young approaching 60ish adults is was no issue. All in all we highly recommend this wonderful little home. Thank you Carl for letting us stay
