Lake house holiday rentals in St. Joseph

This cozy unique little gem on the lake was a great stay. Frederick met us at check-in and showed us the place. He was very friendly and helpful. We loved the views and access to the lake, as well as hearing the water at night. The place is very intimate, so make sure if you are staying with someone else that you are close!

A party of 10 women for a bridal party weekend before the wedding festivities. Plenty of room for everyone lots of big bathrooms so much open space. The pool was warm the hot tub was bubbling. Such an amazing place set in the Sand dunes a five minute drive to Lake Michigan, and a short walk to the small lake, we enjoyed all of the amenities and had a wonderful time.

Comfortable & peaceful home right on the lake! We enjoyed the cottage for several days while visiting family nearby. It was a great place for our family of 4.

We had a girl’s getaway weekend at this lake house . We needed a place to simply relax and unwind, and Polly’s place provided just that. It is in a very peaceful location. We all enjoyed having our coffee/tea in the sunroom in the morning while listening to the birds. A couple of questions came up during our stay, and Polly and Jack were responsive and helpful. Polly even came over to be our photographer when we had an idea for some pictures on the staircase. She was a great sport. The kitchen was very well equipped, and the home was spotless. The fire-pit area and access to firewood was great . If there was any suggestion I could share, it would be to devise an easier way to utilize the paddle boat. We didn’t attempt it, because we don’t believe we could have got it in and out of the lake easily. Other than that, we had a great weekend. I would definitely recommend the property to anyone looking for a peaceful place to stay.

The cottage was wonderful! Our two boys (aged 7 and 11) had the best time on the kayaks and the paddleboat and we parents loved sitting out back watching them while enjoying the weather. The griddle was great and well-maintained and the kitchen was outfitted with everything we needed. The lake was super clean and almost crystal clear, and we all had fun paddling around it. The cottage was super clean as well and quite comfortable with tons of soft blankets which our sensory fragile son absolutely loved. Kelly and Kyle were proactive with their messaging and we didn’t have any problems our entire stay.

This home is private, peaceful, and the wildlife is great. The grandbabies for to see a turtle have her babies, swans, geese, ducks with their babies, cranes, pike, mongoose and so much more. The home held the entire family so we didn't have to get 2 houses and we made amazing memories in this beautiful home. Thank you so much Jaleen:)

We had a wonderful stay for a family birthday. The location right on Lake Michigan can’t be beat. Amazing sunsets! The house was as described and Amy couldn’t have been a better host. She was communicative prior to check in responded right away with questions. We would stay here again for a weekend getaway! The location between Saugatuck and South haven was ideal for venturing out for dinner and shopping.

This trip was amazing! John and Lec have such a beautiful place. I came to celebrate a couple things and Memorial Day weekend, and we picked the most perfect place to do so. John and Lec made us feel at home from the start, we had such an effortless check-in even with us traveling in very late due to work. The time spent there is something I will always cherish! , and we felt so welcomed. What a beautiful and clean lake, we were welcomed to use the kayaks and explore the water past the shore, met some lovely guests staying at the house boat, and got to share some stories with our host and hangout. Everyone in the area is so friendly, and the host is awesome . Lots to do and explore, great food across the street, centrally located for basic needs, breakfast & ice cream. Paw paw was cool to check out too!! I would recommend this to anyone, and definitely will be back . We enjoyed our stay. Phil was very honest in his description of the house. The stairs going down to the bedrooms is a bit narrow and may be hard to maneuver. Other than that it was a very nice environment, allowed for good dog walks and was immaculate.

We loved how close this cute little house was to the downtown area. It was clean and tidy, beds were firm, but ok. It has a nice big yard, with plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our time at this house. It was perfect for a quiet weekend out of the city. The house had everything we needed and was quiet and peaceful. We brought the dog, and they were really accommodating with bowls and treats! It was also really easy to get to downtown South Haven and Saugatuck. Will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous weekend at Karen's cottage. It was quiet, cozy, and the perfect getaway from the city noise. Her thoughtfully curated home felt like stepping into a quaint 70's oasis. The home backs up to a heavily wooded area and our pup could not get enough!

This was our second time staying at Cheryl's place. The house has everything you need to cook, relax, and play indoor and outdoor games. Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Kitchen is big and ample room for everyone to join in preparing meals. We especially love the outdoor space. The location is ideal - grocery store and other markets close by. Downtown South Haven just a short drive away and about 20 minutes or so from Douglas and Saugatuck. Cheryl is a very responsive host!

Hosts were very responsive. The house was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we would need. We felt very at home here. If all airbnb's are like this, I won't stay in hotels anymore, it will be airbnb's for me (this was my first airbnb experience).

This place is small yet quaint! Looks like new construction, very updated, and comfy. Even a cute private patio just for us! The bathroom was large, expensive appliances in kitchen, and comfortable king size bed. It was perfect for the two of us!

Diana’s place was the perfect place for our family to gather and celebrate an up coming wedding. Diana greeted us when we arrived and showed us around the home. There was a large binder on the counter highlighting all that the area has to offer. The home was well stocked with everything needed to make our stay enjoyable. When I text Diana on day 2 of our visit about where to locate something, she responded within 3 minutes! Our 3 small grandchildren loved the stuffed horses, ping pong table and walking 3 houses down to watch the beautiful sunsets! We highly recommend book this lovely home the next time you find yourself in the Southwest corner of Michigan. I know we will return!

We enjoyed Lisa’s home. Very cozy and with many personal touches. Loved the fireplace and wooded surroundings. The heat and hot water worked well. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds and bedrooms are a bit small and one of the best parts of the house is the outdoor area - which isn’t really useable when the weather turns cold as it did when we visited. Lisa and Allison were lovely to deal with and very responsive to our inquiries. I’d go back.

Our stay was a perfect little weekend getaway! We enjoyed the views from the back porch and appreciated the peaceful surroundings. Lindsey was very responsive and instructions were clear on how to get in and what the home looked like!

An incredible home in the most peaceful setting. This was our first family trip with our infant son, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place. The house had everything we needed, and was very spacious. Anything else we needed was less than a 15 minute drive away, and had beautiful scenery on the drives!

Our family had such a great time here and we were super impressed by this house! Everything was even better than in the photos. The house is really a cool vibe and is super well stocked with everything you need in the kitchen, plenty of towels, and lots of games. The beach was so beautiful and we could count on one hand how many other people we saw on the beach during our four days there - super peaceful and private! We hope to be back again soon!

Wonderful stay...the cottage was clean, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen! Favorite area was the screened in porch. Very relaxing and just the right place and the right time!! And you can walk to the lake view within minutes. Easy access to many little beach towns.

We loved our stay at Sarah’s! It had more than everything we needed and the shops across the street were great too. Would absolutely stay again.
