Cabin on Swede Hill

Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Sande's Beach Bungalow

Sande's beach bungalow is located 150 steps away from the shore of beautiful Lake Michigan. A Sunny vintage two bedroom, two full bathrooms. Equipped kitchen. Enclosed front porch that allows you to relax on the swing after a long day at the beach, this area could accommodate 1 or 2 extra guests with advance notice. Wi-Fi and large TVs. Outdoor dining with gas grill. Parking for two cars in front. A short walk to Washington Park & Zoo, Picturesque Marina, and several Dining establishments.

The Studio at the Dunes

Experience tiny living at the Studio after a day exploring the beautiful Indiana Dunes National Park! You will love this cozy tiny house with vaulted ceilings and modern amenities. Cool off with the mini-split air conditioner and relax on the sofa chaise after a long day in the sun. Staying in? Enjoy a board game while listening to some oldies on the record player, take a dip in the cozy hot tub, or relax in the hammocks by the fire pit in the secluded back yard. Bonus is the four-season room where you can have all your meals or enjoy your morning coffee surrounded by nature, but without the fear of bugs. Make new memories, celebrate an anniversary or just relax in this magical place.

House of Zen: Peaceful Modern Cabin on Tryon Farm

The House of Zen is an architect designed home situated in the woods, part of a sustainable farm community on 170 acres. Only an hour drive from Chicago, and close to Indiana Dunes National Park, it is the ultimate escape. The perfect getaway for couples, creatives and nature lovers who want some peace, quiet and space. Explore the farm trails & enjoy the wildlife and soothing sounds. Note: We have a 3 night minimum stay during summer, but open up 2 night stays 1-2 weeks before if possible.

You'll love unwinding in the 8-person hot tub, grilling and dining on the deck, gathering your group around the firepit in the private backyard, Roast marshmallows with the Smores Bar included. Walk or short drive to Michigan City restaurants, coffeeshops, wineries, pubs, casino, and shopping at the local outlet mall. Best of all, the beach is about a mile away. The ideally located retreat provides the perfect getaway. *4th bedroom is very small, has 2 bunk beds but not much room for much else.

The White Cottage Home

This cottage home was built less than 5 years ago. The space is modern and open. It’s located less than 10 mins walk to Lake Michigan beach access. Guests can walk a few minutes to enjoy nearby restaurants such as Dune Billies for breakfast and Cool Runnings Jamaican restaurant. There’s a nearby park and a small dune for short hikes. Other nearby attractions include the Washington park and zoo (5-10 min walk), Blue Chip casino (2 min drive), the Indiana Dunes National Park (20 min drive)

Two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, a fully appointed kitchen, living area w/fireplace, and a large screened in porch. Large windows flood the house with natural light and will make you feel like you're living in the treetops. A perfect getaway!
