Holiday rentals with a fireplace in St. Joseph

We rented this property for our family with two little children. Although a bit small , it worked well for our needs. Lovely area, with a short pleasant walk to Lake Michigan beaches. We used to live in this neighborhood so it was very nice to revisit the area.

We had a “girls weekend” which started with a massive thunderstorm and electric outage. Not to fear….the whole house generator took over for the two nights! Just minor inconveniences including downstairs bedroom and stove out, but water, refrigerator, microwave and lights all good. Great location for day trips to Saugatuck, St. Joseph, South Haven. Jacson was very communicative throughout the weekend. Great hot tub!

We recently spent a lovely weekend at Lake Solis. The house could not be more well stocked, cleaner or any more cozy and well designed. Every last detail is thoughfully designed to ensure a pleasant and comfortable stay. Out of all the houses in the development, this house has the best location, with a private beachfront and unobstructed views of the peaceful little lake. The host has been super friendly and accomodating. She requires no special rules upon checkout, instead wanting to make sure her guests simply enjoy their stay without having to worry about chores. And the best part - pets are welcome! Our yellow lab Bruno had an absolute blast, spending time in nature with all of us! Thank you!!!

The place was exactly like the pictures. Clean had everything I needed. Very comfortable place.

Beautiful views right on the coast of Lake Michigan. The place feels very cared for and has lots of great nooks to retreat to and just relax. We absolutely loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return. Fair warning there are a lot of steps (my kids counted 169 to be exact) to get down to the beach but that didn’t deter us from going and the beach felt very private - we were literally the only ones there. It did limit our ability to send the kids without us for the younger ones which was fine but something to note if you were hoping to just watch them from the porch. We ate out pretty much the whole trip - highly recommend the Copper Pot and the cute market next door to it (pick out a charcuterie board from the cheese lady!). Overall a lovely trip! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful home. Every detail was thought out. Comfortable beds! Would definitely come back again!!!! Even though the weather was not warm enough the pool looked beautiful! Hopefully we will be back to use it!

Shelly’s house was exactly as described. She definitely knows what her guests want and the attention to detail was appreciated. Everything was fantastic, but we especially appreciated the clean, ready to use grill and the dry firewood that helped warm us outside on a cool night. We would love to stay again in the future.

James and Christine were amazing hosts. The place was amazing, I felt right away at home, it is so cozy, great location, very quiet and walkable. The communication with James and Christine was perfect, they even shared some activities to do, restaurants to go, and where to catch the best sunset. Our staying at James and Christine ‘s place was more than perfect.

Very cute little inn. Nice to park on the premises and nice yard to sit as well as pvt hot tub. The suite was very nice and walkable down town, beach.. great having the amtrak in town and took a day trip to chicago. Definitely be back!!! Lisa has done a great job with the Inn…

Great little place. We had issues with the ac unit the first day (probably the first time the air has been on for the season since it was unusually warm outside) but host was responsive and resolved the issue to the best of their ability. Beds are super comfortable and my daughter loved the bunk bed. Right in the center of town and unbeatable views.

The place was amazing, very cozy Airbnb and for a great price! The view of the property from the Airbnb was beautiful and gives off farmhouse vibes, space was great for my family and I! We had some friends and family over and everyone was comfortable in the space and it didn’t feel cramped ! Very beautiful place with great home owners!

This was our second stay at Wildwood and it was just as lovely as the first time. We wanted to spend some time in Shipshewana, Middlebury and Goshen and this location is perfect for all those places. It's so peaceful and has everything you could need. The cookies Lynette leaves are DELISH and she's so quick to respond if you should need anything. I'm sure we'll be back again some day!

Beautiful house perfect for our girls getaway, however, it was s very tight squeeze for 12 since 2 adults on a double bunk didn’t really work but there was lots of couch space & the couches were so comfortable! The house was very updated & clean. It was perfect for our girls getaway & downtown Saugatuck was so fun!

Hany was very responsive, informative, and accommodating. The home looked just like the photos! It was a quick walk downtown to restaurants, shops, and a park. This was a perfect place for our family!

the house was exactly as described! such a cute and cozy house with an incredible yard, plenty of comfortable beds and nice linens. great location and really responsive host as well!

We had a lovely family reunion at St Joe’s overlook. Kitchen came with literally everything- all sorts of cooking instruments (crock pot, air fryer, toaster etc), spices/oils, and zip lock bags for leftovers. All brand new appliances and ample prep space. We got the pool heated and it was wonderful! Very large size to fit all the family kids. The hot tub was a nice save for the adults who were freezing. Beautiful views from the living room of the river with ample and comfy seating. The home was perfect for a large gathering. We appreciate Evan and Claire hosting us they were always responsive and helpful.

John and Valentino have a beautiful home that is welcoming and comfortable. Their yard is large and ready for company. The fire pit is perfectly placed, the bbq makes it easy to cook for a crowd. And if it is a crowd you’re cooking for, the weather need not matter… the two kitchens allow for lots of cooking no matter the time of year. Rarely do I find a comfortable bed when I travel, but John and Valentino have it. Downtown was a few minutes drive away. There is a large playground right downtown which had tons of kids playing! With lots of shopping and restaurant options, cooking is not required. Definitely stop by the Farmhouse Deli in Douglas. The home felt comfortable and also elegant. We were so pleased to stay with them and hope to do so again.

Bruce & Carol were excellent hosts anticipating needs while going above and beyond to make the stay special. The home has beautiful landscaping and gardens. Plenty of room for children to run and play. The breeze from the lake can be enjoyed throughout the home. The house has lake front views throughout the main rooms. The home is positioned ideally for guests with 3 separate living spaces and an open kitchen to the main gathering space that opens to the deck and grill. The walk to St. Joseph is less than a mile and we completed this enjoyable walk daily. Farmer market operates every Saturday during the summer with concerts on Sunday evenings all in walking distance of home. The private beach is beautiful and hosts shared paddle boards and beach toys to add to experience. We enjoyed sunset walks to the lighthouse pier. The internet is fast and reliable for those looking to work away from home with 2-3 possible office locations in home. We would return here again.

This place was absolutely breathtaking! The reality was even more stunning than the photos could capture. The location was truly idyllic, offering a serene and tranquil escape. It was so peaceful and quiet, a perfect retreat. Impeccably clean and pristine, it felt like a sanctuary. The decoration and art were incredibly tasteful, and the music environment was equally delightful. The experience was simply exceptional and truly unforgettable. I highly recommend this gem!
