Cottage holiday rentals in South West England

Debbie’s place is a little piece of paradise, the setting is stunning, the gardens are fantastic and the cottage is warm and cosy whilst also being spacious and really well laid out. We had everything we needed and immediately felt at home. The open plan kitchen into the cosy living room left us all feeling connected, utility space was really useful, conservatory with stunning views allowed us to dine together and relax during the day. Outside area is also stunning for meals on the patio and bbq’s and the hot tub was great to relax in on an evening looking at the stars in peace and tranquility.. there’s a slight walk up to the property across a field but once you’re in the cottage and its gardens it’s worth every step. Great for the dogs too. Loads to do in the area, our highlight was Lyme Regis beach.. many thanks to Debbie and everyone who made us feel so welcome. We would go back to Debbie’s place in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous location. Even better than the photos! The hot tub was a big hit with our kids. The house was absolutely gorgeous. The beds were comfortable and the shower hot and all the shampoos and conditioners provided made it feel so luxurious. We’d definitely go back!

Very lovely place, me and my girlfriend stayed here for a weekend and had no complaints. The host responded quickly and the property looked exactly like the photos. All the extra little touches like the fire wood, slippers, eggs and etc really made us feel welcome. Overall we really enjoyed our stayed and would happily stay here again.

Clare’s place is beautiful, and surrounded by acres of fields. No one on top of you, just peace and quiet. The bungalow is clean and tidy and Clare had baked some gorgeous cakes and left lots of goodies in the fridge for us. It was great having a dishwasher too. Highly recommended. And 100% pre book restaurants as they get busy.

Wow! What an incredible 6 days we had staying at Nicola’s place. It was for my partners 21st birthday and Nicola put up banners and balloons which was lovely of her. We both had the best time, it was both of our first time in Cornwall and we explored so much in the time we was there. Boscastle is an amazing place to stay as St Ives was just over an hour away, Marazion was an hour away, Newquay just under an hour. Even the local beaches and exploring Boscastle was so much fun. It really was a great location, the views, the sunsets/ sunrises everything truly was amazing and we will 100% be back in the future. Thank you so much for having us and as I say we thoroughly enjoyed our first time in Cornwall.

Thank you Meng for a beautiful cottage. Beautiful surroundings, calm, peaceful, stunning cottage and welcomed with a pre-warmed wood fired hot tub! What more could one ask for! Nuthatch cottage is down quite an uneven road, so you need to take your time when driving down the lane. Would definitely recommend and we will stay there again if ever we are back in the beautiful Forest of Dean.

This was a lovely week away in the perfect surroundings. If you want somewhere in Cornwall with beautiful views and a quiet atmosphere, but still close enough to all the attractions, beaches and towns then this honestly is the best place to be. Added benefits include a gorgeous bath tub, hot tub (does take a little while to warm up) and sauna. I wish I had also taken advantage of the garden a bit more which seems like a peaceful place to chill out in the morning. Would highly recommend

We had a lovely weekend at Kaye and Richard’s little retreat. Welcoming and helpful during our stay. Area and lodge peaceful and relaxing. We followed one of Kaye’s itineries one day and had a great time. Would definitely return

Holly was the perfect airbnb host - Easily contactable and friendly. Cottage had everything we needed including excellent parking. We really enjoyed our stay - a good base to visit many places with our dogs.

We had high expectations from poring over photos and reviews of Banc-yr-Eithin prior to our stay and it somehow managed to exceed them. The cottage and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and the facilities are incredible, you want for nothing during your stay here. Highlights include watching the birds at the feeders, the treehouse, the underfloor heating in the bathroom, the sauna, the games room in the barn, waking to the sound of birdsong, I could go on! Sussanah and Hugh are the perfect hosts, they were incredibly helpful both prior to and during our stay. We were staying with a relative with health issues and limited mobility and they were extremely helpful in ensuring that he was comfortably accommodated. They dealt with this issue with compassion, discretion and kindness. We were incredibly grateful to get to sample Hugh's cinnamon buns and they did not disappoint! They were delicious and much appreciated. Thank you for an incredible stay, we can't wait to return soon!

We enjoyed a bucolic few days at Meadow Cottage. The setting in the countryside was so peaceful, and we especially loved the meadow with its charming swing bench. Having breakfast there one sunny morning was a real highlight. Marc was an exceptional host – so welcoming and friendly. The tour of his onsite micro brewery was a real treat; he's incredibly knowledge and passionate. The cottage itself was well equipped and had everything we need. The bed in the main bedroom is very comfortable and the shower is also great. We enjoyed exploring the area with our children and dog. Plenty of beautiful hikes and Saunton Beach is within driving distance too. Would thoroughly recommend a stay at Meadow Cottage!

We loved our stay! The place was beautiful, and the surroundings were peaceful. We’ve never had such a well-equipped kitchen in an Airbnb! The place is perfect if you have kids: we were provided with a cot and a high chair. We even found baby cutlery in the kitchen. The bookshelf was great for reading books to our baby as well. In addition, the recommendations we received were great, and the communication with Liz and Robert was friendly and engaging. Thank you so much for creating such a beautiful place for our stay.

We stayed here for 4 nights and didn’t want to leave. It was the first time we went away as a couple with our 3 dogs (2 Sprockers and 1 Labrador), the location, welcome hamper and dog toys were a lovely gesture. If you have dogs Poppit Sands is a must. The dogs loved every minute, as did we. The cottage is stunning and everything has been thought of by the hosts. We wouldn’t hesitate in booking here again. We very much enjoyed our three day stay in Alice’s cottage. The cottage is airy and spacious and beautifully decorated. It’s quiet and peaceful with its own little garden. Lyneham Heath Farm has acres of land which afforded a delightful walk. We also visited the nearby Cotswold Wildlife Park which we very much enjoyed. Alice was quick to respond and very helpful. We would love to return and are happy to recommend to others.

We had a wonderful stay at the Boathouse. The accommodation was very homely and comfortable. Super location on the North Devon coast which gave us easy access to the local Lee and Sandy bays plus the larger beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands. The Boathouse is very secluded and had all the indoor and outdoor space we needed with very special views of Lee Bay. Can’t wait to visit again!

What an absolutely charming property, we felt instantly at home and Victoria had left us some delicious treats on arrival and beautiful homegrown flowers too. We had booked this as a trip for my husband’s 60th birthday and it was just perfect. The Old Dairy was so peaceful and relaxing we didn’t want to leave. Painswick is a pretty village with beautiful walks from the doorstep of the property. We would not hesitate to book again and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks again for letting us stay!

Lovely accommodation, well appointed and extremely private .

We had a wonderful weekend break in Jackie’s quirky 300-year-old cottage. The place is full of character, with beautiful original features and thoughtful touches throughout. It was cosy, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Jackie was a fantastic host friendly, responsive, and made us feel very welcome. A perfect escape with bags of charm. Highly recommend!

A beautifully crafted lodge where everything has been thought out to give you an enjoyable stay. We had a great time here and would certainly come again. The owners are so responsive and they go the extra mile with excellent instructions and recommendations and a hamper of lovely things. Very comfortable, everything works well right down to the key safe to get in. We really enjoyed wandering the green lanes to the back of the property which was an unexpected bonus,

it's our second stay at Fish Cottage, the kids love it, we love it. As we are originally from devon we can access all our favourite places on day trips due to the location so really works for us Cottage is spacious, interesting and really well equipped and comfortable for our family. will continue each year if we can !! thankyou

We needed somewhere close to Bibury for a family wedding and didn't want to stay in a hotel. We were four adults (mum, dad and two adult daughters in their thirties) so fancied somewhere quiet in beautiful surroundings but only a short journey from the venue. The Old Bakery at The Grange fitted the bill perfectly - it was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated and right in the middle of the Cotswolds countryside. Highly recommended.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. It had everything we needed and the attention to detail was fantastic. It was a beautiful cottage that was decorated to a high standard; we felt right at home. James greeted us when we arrived and gave us excellent recommendations and ideas in the local area. James’ family were also very friendly and gave us eggs from their chickens which was a lovely touch. The cottage is in a great location as it is not far to Lyme Regis and other lovely towns! We could not fault this at all and couldn’t recommend it highly enough!!

We only had a short stay to break up a longer journey but really enjoyed our time in the thatched cottage and the village of Lustleigh. As well as being beautiful and nicely decorated, the cottage is well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The village itself is a great starting point for walks around the neighbouring area and within easy reach of many other places of interest. Wish we had been able to stay longer!
