Holiday rentals with outdoor seating in South Uist

Dark Skye Cottage is nestled in one of the most breathtaking spots on Skye (and Scotland itself). Cliffs await you in the morning as you sip a cuppa. Neist Point Lighthouse is a short drive away. The Cottage is one of the most thoughtful and organized spaces we’ve stayed at on Skye. We enjoyed meeting and chatting with Paul and the local recommendations he provided. DSC is forever on our places to stay in Skye list, and it should be on yours too.

Absolutely stunning location, the views were amazing. Great host with excellent communication. The cottage was so warm and welcoming. It had everything you needed. Really comfortable, very well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. The Isle of Skye was so beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of it. Would recommend staying at Granny Mary’s 100%.

Great base for exploring the Uists and Benbecula. Could walk to the shops, airport and beach. It was really handy having the washing machine and dryer as the unpredictable Hebridean weather caught us out more than once! Good kitchen facilities too. Niall was really helpful and friendly and popped by to see how we were getting on. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect base for our week in Skye. Worth the longer drive to feel truly away from it all. Stunning views meant we were content on the sofa when the weather wasn’t conducive to being out. Highly recommend.

Michael and Catherine were very welcoming and helpful hosts and the house is cosy, well equipped and comfortable. We managed to pack a lot into 2 days on Barra. The definite highlight was swimming in the calm, crystal clear sea at Eoligarry beach. We also really enjoyed our walk up Heaval, where we were rewarded with a 360 degree panorama of Barra and the surrounding islands, and the food from Fishbox Kitchen! We only wish that we could have stayed a bit longer!

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Gordon’s home. The setting is beyond beautiful- even better than the pictures. One of our favorite things to do for this trip was just sit on the deck and look at the amazing view. The home exceeded all expectations as well. One of the best AB&B’s!

This location was fabulous. The view and the serenity were real. If you don't like peaceful and quiet surroundings, or if your group is not prone to be, then you might want to choose somewhere else. I would suggest planning to stay 2 nights to appreciate the area.

What a pearl! We really liked Florrie's, such a very nice house in a great location. And the hosts were very friendly and helpful, everything was just perfect. Our only regret is not having stayed longer.

This is an incredible place to stay if you enjoy a beautiful home and even more beautiful surroundings! We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was spectacular. Great hosts on top of the amazing location. Definite recommendation!!

One of the most, (if not the most), beautifully located places we’ve ever stayed. The house was spotless and well-equipped with amenities. Rosie was a brilliant host and quick to respond whenever we needed anything. I'm so glad we decided here rather than staying in the town, which we were at first considering. Can't recommend this place enough!

We had such a lovely stay at Taigh Glas Studio! Lita and Carol made us feel incredibly welcome – with lots of helpful information beforehand and always quick to respond if we had any questions. The studio was spotless and really well thought out – we especially appreciated the generous welcome goodies and a well-stocked fridge, which made settling in so easy after a long journey. It’s those thoughtful touches that really make a difference. The views were absolutely stunning out the window, we enjoyed watching the different weather roll in from the loch. Skye itself was beautiful, and it was always a treat to come back to the cozy comfort of the studio after a day of exploring. Lovely modern accommodation, more spacious than the photos suggest. Big comfy bed and good shower. Lovely views and easy to park right outside the door. Sheena was a fantastic host who was really helpful when my ferry was cancelled. Would highly recommend as a base for seeing the Islands.

Beautiful stay! Gorgeous surroundings to wake up to. Only 20 min drive from Portree but still easy to get to all the different routes we wanted on Skye. Super clean stay and very spacious. Would definitely recommend, and Mary’s warmth and hospitality made the stay even better 🙂

Excellent property. Very central in Tarbet . Easy to find. Good parking. Inside it was perfect- met all our expectations and all our needs. Spotless on arrival . Everything in house clearly labelled. Nicola responded very quickly to any queries we had. Was able to tell us where outdoor chairs were stored on the only sunny afternoon and we wanted to sit outside. Nicola is an excellent host.

Karen was an excellent host. She was extremely communicative, responsible and hospitable. She was extremely proactive to help us when needed and was flexible, going above and beyond what we would typically expect. The apartment was incredible, we would love to stay there again. This made our trip a memorable one!
