We have a lovely single room in our comfortable family home in a quiet residential area of Oban
“As a solo traveler, I truly enjoyed staying at Heather’s place. Both Heather and her mother were outstanding hosts, who not only gave useful information about the town, but also treated me with delicious sweets everyday. Two thumbs up for their hospitality. The house itself is a bit far from the center, but I actually enjoyed the walk everyday. (It made the harbor-front ice cream and beer all the more delicious and guilt-free.) The only cautionary note I’d add is that the bedroom door doesn’t have a lock. I felt completely safe during my stay, but given that there are other travelers going in and out of the house, female solo travelers might want to be aware of it in advance.”
Machrie Cottage is a recently updated one bedroom detached cottage situated just 10-15 mins walk from Oban town centre. The cottage benefits from private parking, decked area for al fresco dining and a small secure garden shed.
“A great wee, compact base for a stay in Oban. Fiona’s cottage is the perfect base for exploring or shopping. It’s great to have parking, although town is an easy 10 minute walk. Lovely comfy bed, useful kitchen facilities and very thing was lovely and clean. Would definitely return again.”
Cosy garden flat in lower level of one of Oban's Victorian homes adjacent to McCaig's Tower. Situated very centrally we are walking distance to main amenities, free street parking and great views. Ideal for families, the two adjoining bedrooms can be supplemented by a cot or extra bed if requested.
“Emily's place was perfect for our family (two adults, 3 year old and baby). The two bedrooms adjoining suited us really well as we wanted our 3 year old to feel close to us. Emily had provided useful things like a high chair, cot, children's DVDs etc. The kitchen was well equipped and everything was clean and tidy. Lovely location, really close to the town centre and McCaigs Tower as well as the leisure centre. We had a great time, thank you Emily.”
