We needed a place while we were working on our sailboat. As the first guests, Brian was very accommodating. Unit is clean, has the basics, and suited our needs. Bdrm is AirCon, living space is fan room basic. Wi-Fi is good, TV has local and some US channels, & you can cook your own meals.

The room is simple but cozy, with a huge terrace: hammock, swing, table, and an incredible view and atmosphere. But this is more than just a place to stay, it’s a true cultural immersion. We were welcomed in traditional Papuan style with costumes, songs, dances, and drums. The same happened when we left: heartfelt farewell wishes and a real send-off ritual. It was warm and touching. The host is a joyful papua woman with a name like a Japanese princess. She created this unique place bringing together people from various Papuan tribes. They serve not only breakfast but also delicious home-cooked lunches and dinners, all made with care. You can try on traditional outfits, experience body painting, and take photos in front of reconstructions of houses from different Papuan tribes. There’s even a small museum on site.
