Monthly Rentals in Soknedal

We had such a good time in this cabin. It was perfect for getting away from the city for the weekend. Everything we needed was there and the location was really nice as well. We arrived in Soknedal by bus and then hiked up which worked really well.

This is so much more than it seems. It's on a farm with sheep (plus gently tinkling bells) horses, cats and a wee dog. There are glorious views from the house into Støren (which repays getting to know) and stunning walks straight outside the front door, up the mountain or down to the river. The quietness was tangible and a great pleasure after days of travelling. House well equipped with some delightful treasures of art on the walls. Magical place. Loved every minute, even the rainy days and minus 10 frost/snow. Take walking boots and courage for the first time you drive up to the farm as the hairpin bend is really that! Utterly stunning, great 2 weeks for us and our 3 very active dogs.
