Lake house holiday rentals in Smith Mountain Lake

This home was very nice, and the private little beach was perfect for our little kids. Home was clean and we had a great time. Only thing I would want other guest to know is that if you plan on cooking your meals like we did, you want to bring a cutting board and peeling knife with you and maybe some mixing bowls and spices. We managed but I would have brought all that had I known. I would still highly recommend this home.

Great stay exactly as expected

We had a wonderful stay at this Smith Mountain Lake Airbnb for our grandmother’s 90th birthday celebration. The hosts were incredibly flexible, accommodating our group’s needs with ease. The large dock was a highlight, where we spent most of our time when not out boating, creating cherished memories. While some aspects of the property showed signs of age, the value for the price made these minor issues easy to overlook. Highly recommend for a relaxing lake getaway!

We enjoyed our stay so much! Great house with so many nice amenities. It was the perfect place for my family to unwind, relax and celebrate our son’s graduation from Tech.

Really enjoyed our stay! One of the days was rainy and it was still great to just sit and read a book while looking at the lake. The main reason we booked this location was for the sandy beach area, it did not disappoint. Made it very easy to get our dogs in the water. And not have to take them to the park. The hosts were extremely responsive and accommodating. The also returned the dog cleaning fee very quickly which is always appreciated!! The dock is very well positioned for easy in, easy out should you want to rent a boat. The pictures are an accurate representation of the home. Easy to move around and a good seating. The deck is very large and can’t wait to see what they do with the reno in the spring!

My friends and I had the pleasure of staying in Megan and Patrick’s Airbnb. From the beginning of our trip until the end Megan and Patrick have been great hosts. Prior to arriving they sent us their tips and recommendations to make the most of our time, which was greatly appreciated. And when we had a problem with the water pump they were very helpful. Patrick was quick to respond to my questions and tried to resolve the problem immediately. The next morning his handyman came to the house and fixed the pump. We experienced barely any inconvenience because of it.

Absolutely loved this place! One of the cleanest places I have stayed that allows dogs. Everything about this home is thoughtful and welcoming! My daughter and her friend LOVED the basement and the fairy lights! They are 11 and the basement was a real treat for them. The porch was so relaxing for us AND the dogs! The dock was perfect! Great layout and we immediately felt at home.

We had a great stay!! Everything was as advertised. Only thing we suggest to change is the TV in the living room has other log in information stilll there and we were not able to use some of the streaming apps. Also, there was no remote in the Master Bedroom for the TV. Ainsley was very responsive when we couldn’t get the code to the door to work but it was an error on the code. We did not have any other issues and would stay here again. We had a lot of rain and didn’t get to swim and enjoy the water trampoline, but we did catch a lot of fish. Our family loves Smith Mountain Lake and look forward to another trip soon. Thank you for everything!

Alisha was very helpful with all the questions I threw at her, before and during our stay. it was very peaceful and private. we loved the movie room. it was wonderful to be able to see movies on a big screen. would definitely recommend if you are staying in the area.

This home was spacious and beautiful! We honestly didn’t want to leave. Close to restaurants and grocery stores. We would love to come back and stay.

Quaint and peaceful place perfect for a long weekend gateway! Alicia is a very responsive host that quickly addressed a couple of minor issues at check-in. We ate a couple of times at the golf club’s restaurant nearby (~10min away, good food) and ordered in from a local pizzeria for our last night at the lodge (Alessandro’s). Highly recommend this place.

A hidden gem to relax in the mountains and surrounded by deer making it a dream place to stay. 10/10!

I must say this was my first experience with ever staying in a Airbnb and wanted a change from a hotel and very glad we decided to give this a try. Tammy was an absolutely awesome host very responsive and a very nice lady. The description matches everything. Very beautiful property and very clean.

Robert was very welcoming and responded promptly to any questions that came up. He is very invested in creating an exceptional experience for his renters. The waterfront and back porch were among our favorite places to be. A very tranquil and private home surrounded by stunning natural beauty. The home is in a quieter part of the lake, but it was easy to pick up items from the nearby Mini Mart, and there is a Dollar General within a 9 minute drive. Very little traffic on roads in the area throughout our stay, which was greatly appreciated. The kitchen had all the seasonings and cookware we needed, and the beds and linens were very comfy. Robert provided an excellent referral for boat rentals, and we saw much of the lake via pontoon. This was exactly what we were looking for! Thank you, Robert!

We had a great time staying at the cabin for a weekend get away with ladies from our Bible study! We loved all the various places to sit and relax, especially the screened in porch and down on the dock. It was exactly what we were looking for and we would definitely recommend this cabin as a great place to stay!

Dan had such a beautiful place for my family and I over thanksgiving break. Very private and beautiful surroundings. The house was exactly as pictured. Very spacious and it even had a kids play room for my kiddos with lots of toys. Dan also called to check in with us the 2nd night to see how we were making out at the house which was so kind. We did have a little trouble connecting to the WiFi, but we ended getting it connected but we were unsure on how to watch cable/live tv. We took one of the kayaks out on the lake for a short time and we can’t wait to use it over summer time. Overall it was a beautiful and peaceful experience and we can’t wait to get it booked for summer time. I forgot to add that the house included a high chair and a pack and play for my youngest which was so convenient.

Great location, lots of activities, specially for kids. Great neighborhood for an evening walk.

My brothers and I celebrated our folks 80th birthdays and the accommodations were perfect for the occasion. Although the sixty five steps to the shore was prohibitive for them, the close Marina was adequate for boat ride pickup/drop-off’s. The double throughput driveways and the off road parking was convenient. The paddle boards and kayaks was a nice surprise. The place was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, rooms were spacious and location was relatively private and quiet. Over-all, everyone loved it and we’ll likely be back for another family getaway!

We enjoyed our girls weekend at this home! The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet. Just a quick stroll from the lake. The house is very clean and neat! I recommend staying at this property.

Stayed for a long weekend with family and we really enjoyed our stay. From the moment we walked in, we were pleased with how spotless the home was. It was as pristine as a model home, yet was cozy and thoughtfully decorated to make us feel at home. The home was also convenient to nearby stores and restaurants. We appreciated the board games, kayaks, paddle boards, and the well stocked kitchen with plenty cookware, appliances, and seasonings. The home is absolutely beautiful and even better than described in my opinion.

We had a lovely time! Very clean with spotless linens! Very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. My family and I had a wonderful time! Only down fall was lots of steps and dock could use some TLC. Not very kid friendly since it is on a very steep hill. But in all we had a great time and enjoyed your beautiful home!

We loved staying here! The home was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed during our stay. Beautiful lake views from the deck and easy parking. The host was always responsive, friendly and upbeat. Would love to stay here again.

We had a great time playing pool and darts, kayaking on the lake and toasting marshmallows for s’mores. It was a fun time for the whole family!
