It was a lovely place to stay. Very peaceful and had very nice scenery. It was very clean and was welcoming. There was an option of tea and coffee, milk in the fridge and little snacks which is helpful if you have only come for one night. Had a good option of takeouts near by. It was private and out of the way which was nice. It was well worth the money and is a lovely place to stay for a long weekend. Would definitely stay again😊

We had a really lovely few days in Julie's house and the North York Moors. The house was absolutely spotless, really well equipped, lovely bedding and very comfortable. Julie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is very peaceful and we heard absolutely no noise from neighbouring houses. We did meet an immediate neighbour, who was very friendly. Slingsby is a very nice village in a beautiful area and is a great place for exploring the NorthYork Moors. We would definitely stay here again - thank you Julie!

Thanks Flo & Phil for a great long weekend at Wood Cottage. In a very rural village it was so quiet and peaceful with a nice space outdoors to enjoy the sunny weather and sunsets. Wood Cottage has a beautiful and cosy interior and was perfect to enjoy with our two little children. Helpful baby items were provided and my toddler loved the dolls house and all the toys and jigsaws. We enjoyed exploring Castle Howard and Scampston gardens which are both short drives away. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend in the county! Thanns.

This was a perfect place for me and my son to stay while he had a football tournament at nearby Flamingoland. The more direct route to Flamingoland was unavailable due to a road closure, but we were still able to get there in about 15 minutes, following the diversion. We never intended to stay in the property for a long period, it was more for us to use as a base for meals, freshening up and sleeping. It was perfect for that. Good WiFi, everything worked in the kitchen (no freezer, just refrigerator) and the family were very friendly and made us feel totally welcome.
