Monthly Rentals in Skellig Islands

I had a lovely two days here, on a spontaneous solo road trip to chase the sun, the grounds were absolutely stunning with great walks to the lighthouse and into town, the beach was beautiful and water lead and crisp, I thought I was in Greece for a sec there!

Lovely modern two bedroom apartment with a large smart tv. Separate utility room was very handy for the airfryer and coffee machine we brought with us. Generous welcome pack of scones, bread and jams on arrival. Kitchen was well equipped for self catering needs. Host was able to provide high chair, cot and black out blind for our toddler.

Bridie was fantastic, met us at check-in and suggested where to go for dinner - she also helped us map our route to the Cliffs of Moher the next day via the ferry. She was so kind and we felt right at home. The cottage is fantastic. I just wish we spent more than one night!

We enjoyed our stay at John’s. He and Claire were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed making simple meals with the delicious lamb and fresh salmon available in town. Also having laundry facilities was fantastic, easy to use machines. Great view from our window, but we were sorry to miss the donkey s, they were elsewhere. A side note: The bedding in Ireland is interesting. Every bnb we stayed in (4) had one duvet and no top sheet. We found them to be too warm everywhere we went. But that’s no shade on the bnb. Just the way things are done, I guess.
