Monthly Rentals in Sierra Guanajuato

The house is super big but lovely! Lalo prepared everything you would need in the house/room, even the kitchen and the washer! (Super appreciated for this because I really needed to wash my clothes) Also Lalo is super nice and very responsive; we talked a lot about life, travel experiences… etc, really loved it! The wifi was very fast as well, needed to work during the day, and it went perfectly well! Last but not least, special thanks to super cute Bea, I am actually afraid of animals, but Bea was so so so cute that she successfully melted my heart 🥹🥹🥹 (And she is definitely well-behaved!) I’m very glad that I made the choice to stay with Lalo and Bea for three days, it was a very remarkable trip for sure! Muchas graciasssss!

We stayed 40 days in Guillermo's apartment and from the arrival towards the end felt very much at home. It is in short walking distance to the center of Valenciana with its little shops and the big church. At the same time it is in a quiet neighborhood next to la Mina de Valenciana. One of our favorite things to do was taking the path through the natural reserve down to Guanajuato. It takes about 30 minutes if you don't stop every 100m to take a picture of the scenary. The place is decorated with good taste, is very bright and open. The views from the terrace are breathtaking. There were not many days when we did not take a photo of the sunset. Mocho, Guillermo's dog, is one of the friendliest dogs we've met. He came to give us company and was always around to accompany us from and to the gate. Memo went out of his way to make us feel welcome. He is also a great chef and has many stories to tell. We already miss the place and hope to be back soon.

This accommodation is among our favorites, and we have been to many Airbnbs in Mexico. It was better than we expected. The host was very helpful, responsive, and accommodating. The unit is spacious, beautiful, and comfortable. There was always hot water. Having a dishwasher was nice. The washer/dryer unit worked well cleaning our cloths. I most enjoyed the mountain views, watching sunrises through the glass wall, and the resort-like heated pool with terraces for lounging. We used the propane BBQ many times (a treat to have). Walking down to the historic center (and the baseball diamond for a game) was enjoyable, and we rode Uber back up. There are only 18 stairs to take from the street to get into the room. It was a peaceful place to be, in a more country setting, with a little bit of the usual México sounds. But it was still in the city, near an Oxxo and other stores.

The space is beautiful and has beautiful views, the landscapes at sunrise or sunset are a spectacle. The amenities advertised are as they are, it is very comfortable and I recommend it for those looking to have contact with nature and recharge.
