With an amazing location by the Embajadoras plaza, this little house is full of light and shines for its comfiness & quietness. It is surrounded by a garden and has its own patio and private access to the climatized swimming pool. The pool only is shared in between your house and mine. The house being in the centre everything is at walking distance and you reach the central plaza of the city with a 10min walk.
“Alex’s place is in a great neighborhood that has everything you’ll need close at hand - markets, food stands, restaurants, bus, lovely park. The Historic Center is just a few minutes walk away and it’s easy to get home by bus or taxi late at night. The house is bright, clean, well organized. Perfect for a single person or couple. It has everything you’ll need and a wonderful view. Alex was always available to respond to any questions or needs I had, a truly warm and friendly person. I loved my stay there and highly recommend his place for anyone visiting the wonderful city of Guanajuato.”

“We had the good fortune of being able to check out this condo last year while visiting Guanajuato. We met with the owner, she answered all our questions, and we were thrilled with the prospect of returning this year. The house is in a very quiet area, at the top of one of Guanajuato’s very long, steep “callejons.” Being at the top is great. You can walk down the stairs to the central business area of town and take a really cheap Uber or taxi back. The walk (downhill) to the big shopping plaza and supermarket is only about 15 minutes. And there are several small tiendas, a nice coffee shop, restaurant, and an OXXO convenience store in the quiet neighborhood. The house is also close to the start of the trail up to La Bufa, a picturesque overlook and nice place for a hike. And it’s a 10 minute walk to the Pipila monument with a spectacular view of the city and the Funicular terminal for a quick cable car trip to the historic central district. The house is in a very secure, small (about 8 units) gated complex of condos. About half the neighbors in the complex were expats and could offer recommendations about shopping, etc. The Mexican neighbors were very friendly and helpful as well. We never felt there were any security issues in the neighborhood. Lots of friendly kids playing in the callejón and plenty of smiles when greeting our neighbors. The owner, Angélica, is really wonderful. She lives in the area and can be contacted quickly via phone or WhatsApp if there are questions or any problems. She also has a handyman and a housekeeper available. Weekly house cleaning cost us only about $300MX per week and the gal did excellent work. Angélica was also very helpful, suggesting upcoming cultural events. We really felt she was genuinely interested in ensuring we enjoyed our stay. The amenities and furnishings in the condo are very functional and comfortable. The king bed was really comfortable and the living room seating was also nice. We used solar hot water nearly the entire time and there was always plenty of hot water. There’s a decent sized gas hot water heater available as backup. The shower had above average water volume flow, based on other experiences we’ve had in Latin America. We had no electrical interrruptions, despite several thunderstorms rolling through. The basic cable only offers several Mexican channels but we had fiber optic cable installed and were able to stream whatever we wanted to watch and to join video conference calls. Overall, we highly recommend this property, mostly because the host is great and helped us every step of the way. But the unit is in a great location, has all the basics (and more) and is very comfortable.”
