Bear Timbers log cabin on the Shenandoah River

RachelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What a wonderful cabin! So comfy and had beautiful views at the river. Only down side was all the bugs outside but that’s to be expected when staying in the woods and by the river. Would definitely book here again!

Foggy River Cabin Shenandoah River

AmandaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. The check in process was easy, views were great, hot tub was nice. Only complaints would be the bed as it was not comfy/very squeaky. We would definitely consider staying here again next time we visit Shenandoah National Park.

Log Cabin, *Pool, Hot Tub* Views, Views, Log Fires

StacieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! Close enough to all the hikes we wanted to do. Pet friendly (huge for us) and beautiful views! Please make sure you read the whole listing, as you definitely need a vehicle with 4 wheel drive to get up the driveway. We brought our own towels, sheets, and so on as stated and everything else we needed was available. Would recommend bringing dish towels. We had forgotten them this trip. Cooking pots and pans are little outdated but they’re just fine! We had a wonderful taco night anniversary dinner at the cabin and throughly enjoyed a nice soak in the hot tub. There’s a very nice above ground pool also but it was too cold this time of year to swim in. I would definitely stay again!

Lost River Mountain Top 4 Br

VeronicaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
The setting of the home was breathtaking!!! The mountain was beautiful and the open patio was perfect to see the moon and stars at night! We were thinking there was too little light on the patio when we arrived but we know now it’s intentional. The home was spacious and had everything we could have needed. Hot tub was amazing and we can’t wait to return to Lost City!!

Secluded Starry Sky, Near Luray, Hottub, FastWi-fi

RobertRating, 5 stars2 months ago
The only part of the stay that didn't get 5 stars was that it wasn't quite as secluded as I'd hoped for. There are a number of homes on the road to the cabin, and a thin line of trees breaks the view. Admittedly unless you're looking for the other houses you don't notice them, so I got past that quickly enough. That said, the cabin was perfect, clean, cozy and everything worked as stated. Having grown up in the country, but living in a city now, I felt the stress melt away as soon as I stepped into the massive yard where my son and I spent a lot of time playing soccer and other sports. My son and wife really enjoyed the hot tub. The location is 15 minutes away from Luray which meant that the stars were amazing for the brief break in the clouds we got, but that it was close enough to get groceries and take out as needed. Plus it's about 20 minutes away from Front Royal so there are places to go and enjoy like Skyline or Luray Caverns. Jackie was a great and responsive host!

MountainTop w/Hot Tub, Stunning Views (near Luray)

BrookeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a nice peaceful time at the cabin! The view is incredible and the place was spotless. The couches and beds were very comfortable, and the porch swing was a nice touch. The mountain was very quiet and the perfect place to get away. Driving up the mountain was a STRUGGLE in my SUV. You absolutely want a truck for that trek. We may have slightly underestimated the terrain but luckily made it work lol! The spiral staircase is very cute, but do be warned that if you have any issues with climbing stairs or are a larger person you will have to go outside and down to the sliding doors to access the bedrooms on the first floor. They are very steep and the steps are super small! Caroline was so kind every time we reached out, and was willing to accommodate a slightly early check in! She was a great host and gave us no issues about needing to leave behind a few trash bags that we couldn’t fit into our car.

"Walden" Relax & Unwind in Private Couples Retreat

LoriRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I have now stayed at 3 of Derek's properties and all experiences have been fantastic! I think I loved this Walden cabin the most, though! The view, the gorgeous property, the well-kept and comfortable home - it's all amazing. I don't think I'll stay anywhere else when I want to visit the Blue Ridge from now on!

Lost River Cabin Retreat

DeborahRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We loved our stay! Richard was a fantastic host, very responsive to our questions and had great local recommendations. We spent hours by the fireplace, and enjoying the screened in porches. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for cooking. It was perfect for a relaxing weekend. Wardensville is just 20 minutes away and has anything you might need to pick up. We enjoyed lunch at Mack’s and visiting the glassworks and markets. We can’t wait to come back!

FOX DEN--Secluded Mountain Getaway

ColbyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Our stay at the cabin was excellent. It's an older cabin but you can tell it's been maintained and cared for very well over the years. The front porch and yard were excellent for our toddler running around and playing. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice place close to the national park.

Moose Mountain Maison - Golf, Bike, Bryce Resort!

MelissaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We loved our relaxing stay- we sat by the fire, watched movies, played pool, and skied and hiked during our visit. The beds were super comfortable and there were plenty of towels. The host provided extras that were unexpected- handsoap, shower toiletries and a welcome basket of chocolate. So sweet! The house was spacious for our family of 6. I loved that we could all be together and then retreat to our own spaces for sleep.

Whispering Winds, 90 min DC, Starlink, EV port

gailRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Lovely view of mountains and trees. Very peaceful and restful. We could actually understand how you can call it "whispering pines" when we heard the wind in the trees. The deck is spacious and has nice covered and uncovered seating. We enjoyed our coffee in morning and glass of wine at night there! Very comfortable home. Well stocked with lots of thoughtful touches! You can tell the hosts worked to ensure you had a comfortable stay! Bill and Stephanie (the hosts) live next door and introduced themselves early in our stay. Very friendly and helpful folks. It was nice to know they were nearby but you could not see them or any other neighbors' homes nor hear anyone at all. We were there in late April so did not need a AWD, there were a few miles of unpaved roads, but very manageable. I'd highly recommend!

Hummingbird Yurt @ #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp

DustinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Cozy yurt in a charming little private campground situated immediately next to the Shenandoah River. Can’t beat the location- you could fish, swim or go for a float right out your front door. The yurt was clean and well-equipped for “glamping” purposes with a few small appliances, a fan and an AC unit to keep it comfortable. Warning… the futon is not as comfy as a bed but it does the job. A picnic table is available for outdoor cooking purposes. The bathhouse was clean and warm however the shower water does smell a bit “sulfur-y”. Check-in and check-out was easy and

Stunning Shenandoah Riverfront Retreat

AmyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The "Sugar Shack" is a lovely place for a retreat. I picked it because there were enough bedrooms for a girlfriend retreat where everyone could have their own space, but I want to go back with my family and spend more time on the river which is just out the door! We loved spending time out on the porch eating meals, by the fire pit, and in the cozy living room watching movies. We also visited Seven Bends State Park (~20 min drive) for a nice hike. Hosts were very responsive and clear with instructions. Thank you Julie!

Enchanting, Cozy With A View

BethRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My boyfriend and I just spent Memorial weekend here and had an incredible time! The place was perfect for us. It felt very private, cozy and homey interior, great kitchen, great porch space with grill and outdoor swing and a great fire pit. We really enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch swing together, cooking a lovely dinner, and ending with s’mores by the fire. We found it convenient to get out and go hiking, close to town, but also a restful landing place to relax together and stare at the mountains at the end of the day. I’d highly recommend staying here! We couldn’t have had a better time!

Rustic Retreat in the Valley

PedroRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb near Luray. The views were absolutely stunning — peaceful mountains and rolling hills all around. We visited the Luray Caverns, which were truly breathtaking, and made a stop in Woodstock for some amazing BBQ. The house was cozy, clean, and perfect for relaxing with friends. We spent our evenings laughing, playing games, and enjoying the quiet. It was the perfect spot to unwind and make lasting memories.

Riverfront, Secluded Dog-Friendly Cabin-New Market

MadisonRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Our stay here was very peaceful. You can see the river from the porch at the bottom of the hill. There is a grill with a propane tank, a canoe, and all bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which was very nice. We would recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay in Quicksburg. Just a note, the two bedrooms upstairs are very warm and do not cool down well in the summer.

SnowRegrets-Time to Relax!

ColinRating, 5 stars3 months ago
10/10. We rented Melissa’s place for a month during ski season. The house was perfect for our family of four and had room for us to bring along family and friends. We had a great time creating memories at “the ski house”! Melissa‘s communication was always timely and helpful. The house was very well stocked with essentials. We hope to be back next year as well!

What a gem! We decided on a last minute trip and found this place. The host was able to accomodate us and Im so glad, we loved it! We were looking to disconnect and thats what we were able to do. We enjoyed a fire in the firepit, listened to the sounds of nature and had a beautiful view of the mountains. The bed was super comfy and it was stocked with everything we needed! I honestly dont think the pictures do it justice. We cant wait to come back!

Beautiful VIEWS of Lake Laura!

SamRating, 5 stars43 months ago
The place does have an excellent view, and the location is perfect. It’s under 30 min from a lot of great trails, and even the immediate area is lovely to explore. The one thing I will say is that the condo is on the older side, so don’t expect fresh, new appliances. Nonetheless, everything (including the heating) works flawlessly. Patricia and Tracy were very responsive and very helpful, ready to help with whatever I needed. Another important note is all the hills, in that the condos around here are all literally built into them. Be prepared to walk uphill and put stress on your car. Other than that, there’s nothing I would change.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Eileen's. Her home was beautiful. The amenities she provided was above and beyond other places I have stayed. We loved the fresh eggs we were able to purchase. The home was warm and cozy on the cold nights. We used both the fire pit and the hot tub. They were both great. If we are in the area again we would definitely book again.

Stonewall Crossing on the Shenandoah River

LauraRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sara’s home was the perfect place for our family birthday celebration weekend. Very comfortable, lots of outdoor space for the kids. Nice to have a bathroom for each bedroom. Kitchen was spacious and well stocked. Dining table was an ample size for our crowd. Large den/movie room. I’m sorry we never had time for a movie. The kids enjoyed the river, skipping rocks and even enjoying a swim. The house is near Luray and the Caverns - a bonus. We could easily return.
