Holiday rentals with a sauna in Shandaken

We had a wonderful stay at this well-located house in the heart of beautiful Saugerties. The home was spotless, situated right across from the serene frozen lake. Our kids especially enjoyed the arcade games. We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

Really enjoyed our stay at Wilson’s. The place was cozy, well appointed, and in a great location. Right across the street is a lovely coffee and breakfast place (with lots of outdoor seating) and above a grocery store that has everything you could need. Peaceful, quiet, restful. Just what we needed!

We loved our stay. They provided everything you need plus more. So comfortable, lovely ambiance and the sauna and hot tub were fantastic. We came on a rainy day and still had a great time. Location is 10/10. Loved the calmbucha. Highly recommend!

We recently stayed at Andrew's condo, and it was nothing short of amazing! The location couldn't be better – right next to the slopes with easy accessibility to the mountain and the ski rental place. We were a group of two families, totaling 6 kids and 4 adults, and the condo was the perfect accommodation for our ski trip. The kids were thrilled with their bunkbed rooms, each equipped with their own TVs, providing a cozy and entertaining space for them to unwind after a day on the slopes. The condo itself was beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. There was plenty of room for all of us to relax and spend quality time together. The highlight for both kids and adults was undoubtedly the hot tub and pool. After a day of skiing, it was pure bliss to soak in the hot tub and enjoy the breathtaking views. A special shoutout to Andrew, our fantastic host! He was incredibly responsive and welcoming, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and stress-free.

We had a great stay! The place is incredibly comfortable. Perfect for unwinding or just relaxing after a long day. It has a vintage charm that adds character, and everything we needed was there. The sauna was a fantastic bonus and definitely one of the highlights. Big shoutout to Carmelo, who was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay. We stayed with our two kids. Was clean and spacious. Kids loved the arcade game in the house! Very short walk to the lifts. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a lovely long weekend with our 20 year old daughters and our dog. We celebrated a birthday and midsummer and really relaxed. The house was comfortable, clean and offered an relaxing environment. The Sauna, hot tub and She Shed were fan favorites with our family! Highly recommend for a family of 4-6.

I was expecting a great time at the Mushroom Palace but it was even better than I had hoped! It had everything we needed, nothing we didn’t. The hot tub and sauna were clean and hot. We had two really memorable nights there, grilling, chilling, using the outdoor fire pit, and the spa stuff. The house had a lot of charm and character but was very clean had a pleasant smell. I have stayed in many airbnbs over the years and this is definitely in my top 5! I definitely plan on returning. Kyle was so nice to communicate with and very reasonable. This place is a gem and so is Kyle! Can’t wait til my next trip to saugerties. 🍄 ❤️

Ari’s home was cozy and quiet. We had all we needed for a relaxing writing retreat. Spearate spqces to focus and a table big enough to gather at for meals. The whole space had a peaceful and serene vibe and was a great escape from the city. Would def recommend.

We truly enjoyed our stay at Wilderkill Barn. Maria Cristina and William were exceptional hosts—warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The home was a haven, with a hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit, pool table, and immersive sound and movie systems—all of which made our stay delightful despite the cold, dreary May weather. We can't thank them enough. ***That said, we feel it's necessary to address a serious issue with Airbnb itself that arose while booking this property, unrelated to the property itself. An unexpected tax was added after booking, and Airbnb has yet to provide a clear explanation. After years of loyalty, we were disappointed by their evasive and unhelpful customer support. This experience has made us reconsider using the platform in the future. We urge potential users to scrutinize all fees carefully and be aware that Airbnb’s support may be difficult to navigate if problems arise.***

We had an amazing stay in Hunter! The place was a decent size for a group of 8 like us, we’re a group of friends who take an annual trip to Upstate. The host is honestly one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve ever come across. She truly went above and beyond. Before our trip, she shared a comprehensive guidebook with local recommendations, which was super helpful. During our stay, she was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and made sure everything was well stocked, we never ran out of anything during our 4 day stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that she had prepared so much food for us including bacon, eggs, milk, s’mores, and tons of pastries and baked goods from Fellow Mountain Cafe. Highly recommend!!

Even more lovely than the photos depict, this home was a perfect retreat for our girls getaway. Beds are so comfortable, as is the home. We cooked in the very useful kitchen, had everything we needed. Spent time on the decks looking out at the Hudson River. Location was perfect for us to visit Kingston and Rhinecliff for walks and meals. Highly recommend!

Mella’s property (and Mella) exceeded all our expectations. The historic home worked beautifully for our party of 14 – all over 65 y/o. Everyone had the privacy they wanted along with lots of first floor and outdoor space to socialize. We particularly appreciated the large dining room table that could comfortably seat all of us for dinner. There were linens, table service, and plenty of wine glasses. The extra chairs in the closet came in handy for meals and for porch sitting. We prepared eight full meals (breakfasts and dinners) during our four-day stay. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked -- quality knives, appliances, tools and more. This room became a hub of activity and a happy gathering place. The bedrooms have a minimalist vibe with comfortable beds and hot showers. The country ambiance of this home was just what we city dwellers wanted – a nostalgic nod to the past combined with conveniences of the present. Highly recommended! Thank you, Mella.
