“We had an amazing stay at Kerry's place -- it was exactly what we were looking for. Kerry is a great host -- very responsive, communicative, and professional. The cottage is perfect for two people. The bed is very comfortable. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The kitchenette is well equipped for making small meals. Also, there is an outdoor fire-pit and grill. The private backyard is very nice. Location is great for easy access to plenty of hiking trails nearby, and to the charming town of Phoenicia. Also, the river/creek. There is no cell service in the cottage -- WiFi calling and iMessages will work for iPhone users, but if you don't have those options be prepared for an off the grid experience. WiFi was exceptional and very reliable. Note that power outages are a real possibility in these towns -- on the night that there was a storm we were out of power for the whole evening and better part of the night -- no cooking, WiFi and heating is available with power out. Overall, a fantastic experience and we are hoping to be back.”

“We spent eight wonderful days at Christa and Wayne’s cottage. We could tell, even before we’d booked, that they’d be great hosts, since they patiently answered a bunch of questions we had! The cottage was totally homey, and didn’t feel as though we were living among other people’s things, which can sometimes be a problem with Airbnb. Still, we found everything we needed, and more, like a coffee grinder, barbecuing stuff, shampoo and conditioner, board games and good books. It was particularly helpful that they’ve assembled their own guide to the area, with maps of nearby swimming holes and lakes, recommended hikes, restaurant menus, etc. We can’t say enough great things about Christa and Wayne, and their cottage! As others have written, we only wish we could keep this place a secret!”

“We had such a special stay with Dara and Dave! The cabin was super cozy and decorated beautifully with Dave’s woodwork and Dara’s photography. It had everything we needed and more, from a mini fridge to a Bose speaker to a Tempurpedic mattress. The property is gorgeous too, covered in lush gardens and amazing lawn furniture from Indonesia. Having my morning coffee (it was very good coffee too) sitting in a hammock, next to Dara’s exquisite flower garden, was heavenly. What made the stay even more magical, though, was getting to know Dara and Dave, and the generosity they showed us. Dara led us on a tour around her garden with samples of the (delicious!!) fresh produce (I’d never seen a radish plant before!!). She patiently helped us start a campfire with extremely wet wood and no kindling (fire master!!). She even lent us hiking boots to go on a hike to a secret waterfall. Both Dave and Dara dispensed helpful life advice. Overall, we can’t wait to go back. We had such a fun time and it was wonderful getting to know Dara and Dave.”
