John, our host, and his son were warm and welcoming. The setting is serene and beautiful and very close to public transportation.

Accommodation as described. Clean and easy enough to find. Located roughly 5 minutes from the high st. Easy access to the local mountain bike trails.. Nice and quiet location. Iain answered all my questions quickly and was very helpful.

Mhairi's flat is well positioned to have a quiet place to stay a stones throw from the quiet end of the beach. There is easy access west to the city of Edinburgh and east along the coast by public transport . The bus stop is close by and a frequent service. Nice to stroll along Musselburgh harbour in the evening and enjoy a drink and fish and chips at the Ship Inn. Mhairi was a very kind and helpful host. We very much enjoyed our stay and our grand daughter who came to visit was fascinated to watch the black and white cat (definitely Postman Pats) and the squirrel who sat outside the door !!

Lovely little place very handy for concerts etc at Murrayfield. The apartment is spacious and well maintained, very clean and comfortable - exactly what you need for a couple of nights. Janet is a lovely hostess. Very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. She was really helpful with directions to the stadium and recommendations for the area - the Brass Monkey pub is great. She added little extras in the room like bread and butter and jam if you like a bit of toast for breakfast it’s perfect. Plenty tea and coffee and milk in the fridge too. She also allows you to use her kitchen if you do want to cook anything - we didn’t use it but thought it was a very kind gesture given it’s her private home.

Tatu and Fiona were such great hosts, with such a lovely space to stay! We stayed a couple of nights in their private annex, and provided everything necessary for a comfortable stay. It truly was a home away from home. It was very clean, quiet, serene, calm, and we had a space to park. Highly recommend everyone to stay. Wish we could have stayed longer! Would definitely stay again ;)

We had a great time. It was really hard to locate the place first. But when I call the host they directed me really well. The area is really calm and quiet.

I came to the area to attend a wedding a few miles away, and staying here was one of the highlights of my trip. Jonathan was an exceptional host—friendly, thoughtful, and incredibly helpful. When no taxis were available, he kindly drove me to the wedding venue himself, which was far beyond anything I expected or paid for. The accommodation was spacious, spotless, and beautifully organised, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. I had plenty of privacy and felt completely at ease throughout my stay. Thank you, Jonathan, for your outstanding hospitality and for being such a gracious guide to this lovely area. I truly enjoyed my time here!

Just what we a big family needed on our way down south from Highlands. Everyone had a good nights sleep after a long journey. Definitely recommended!

A genuine Airbnb like no other. Everything you could think of has been thoughtfully provided in this cosy annex. Very clean and looks even better in person. Plenty of food in the cupboards and fridge, the host is very generous. There’s also a TV with Netflix, books, a full kitchen, etc. Very easy and straightforward access to the city center with a bus stop right next to the Airbnb. The host, Judith, was super welcoming and kind, and so was her husband (lovely meeting you both!). We wish we had stayed longer, but will hopefully come back, and this time to go hiking and exploring the surroundings.

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Wren Studio. The peaceful, light and airy space served as a great base to explore the local area. Kate provided some beautiful home made kombucha and some fabulous honey from her own bees! Both were delicious!! We would not hesitate to recommend Wren Studio. Thank you so much Kate. Stayed here the night before taking part in the Northumbrian triathlon and couldn't have found a better place to rest the night before a big event! The room was spacious, the en suite bathroom immaculate and the beds incredibly comfy. I travelled with my family and we had a plentiful amount of space for 4 adults to relax in. The kitchen was complete with absolutely everything you could ask for. Both the room and the dining area had a massive TV which was perfect for watching the football on! The wifi connection was superb, which I was able to use to very quickly upload a YouTube video with and my family and I also had no problems all being connected at one time. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful, a real hidden gem! There was also a brilliant outside seating area which was also home to very secure outdoor sheds, perfect for bike storage. I had such a perfect stay that I went on to win the race the next day! And for this price, I would have no hesitation to stay here again!

So clean, so comfortable! Had everything I needed and was a joy to stay. Wish it had been for more than one night! Would definitely come back!!

Highly recommended. The house was perfect, it had everything you could need. John was very kind to us and was flexible with our arrival as our flight was late. He explained everything we needed to know about the house and recommendations on how to get to Edinburgh.

Elizabeth was the perfect host. we felt right at home. She gave us useful information regarding the bus system and walking directions to the village. it was just the right distance from the city center. We would definitely recommend a stay at the Den.

Siamo stati accolti molto calorosamente da Steve e Val. La casa è molto pulita e curata nei minimi dettagli, immersa in un ambiente davvero tranquillo e rilassante. È stato bellissimo svegliarsi con la vista del giardino curato e dei campi circostanti con le mucche al pascolo. Abbiamo reincontrato Steve durante il nostro soggiorno, ed è stato sempre molto amichevole e disponibile a darci consigli. Sarebbe bello poter tornare di nuovo, è un posto da non perdere!

Amazing place with wonderful energy and terrific hosts in Karen and Geoff , wonderful souls that really couldn’t do enough for you. Everything was perfect from the lovely rooms to the gorgeous breakfasts. Me and my girlfriends made really good connections and thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay ***** 5 stars 😊

Our second visit to Angela's house and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely location with beautiful views. We'll definitely be back again. Thanks Angela

The East Wing is quaint, spacious and comfortable. David was a terrific host with plenty of recommendations and local knowledge. Lovely to find a welcome pack of fresh milk, bread, honey and eggs laid by David’s own hens. The location is ideal for a visit to Kelso with the central square only 5 mins walk away. WiFi was excellent. The only ‘watch out’ is that the shower is over a freestanding bath which is on a raised platform. No issue for us but might be a struggle for anyone with limited mobility.
