There are some places really worthy of a detour to find exceptional warmth and hospitality -Fiona offers both these and more in abundance at her gorgeous home . I loved every aspect of my stay and have no hesitation in recommending this place. A fabulous Airbnb

This is a beautiful place to spend some time while in Scotland. Claire, Bruce (and Penny the dog) were warm and friendly hosts. The house was cozy and clean and the surroundings absolutely stunning. Easy to navigate even if you don’t have a rental vehicle, as taxis are readily available with knowledgeable drivers (and Claire and Bruce are happy to accommodate pick up and drops offs - even in the early morning if that’s what’s needed!). I’d definitely recommend this stay to any traveller looking for a peaceful rural experience.

Gordon is a fabulous host and was very helpful and friendly during my stay. Very accommodating and and kind. Lovely person to get along with and also give your own space too. A beautiful breakfast spread was also provided which was very nice

What can I say about Rose and Jake except absolutely amazing. Great hosts. Super responsive. The place was spotless. I miss lil Millie already. What a hidden gem. Rose and Jake’s will always be a home base in Scotland. Fantastic find.

My elderly aunt and mum stayed with Rose and praised the cleanliness of the home, sheer number of amenities (water kettle, coffee, tea, biscuits in room, games, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.) and friendliness of the hosts. Their room and bath were easy to access on the ground floor. Rose was always quick to respond to me and it was a comfort to know they were well looked after before my daughter’s wedding.

Located in peaceful area with amazing view to Arthur`s Seat, so its a must do hike while u stay at Duncan`s :)! Supermarket 1k walk, few restorans close by, good bus connection to center. Room was spacious and clean, comfy bed. Bathroom in the room, but needs some renovating. For sure best part of the stay was fulsome breakfast that we didnt know, was part of the price -amazing!

Absolutely charming hosts Stephanie & Ned made me feel at home despite last minute change (when my wife couldn’t join me) Their B&B is so lovely and comfortable. It’s quiet and the view from the bedroom window overlooking the village green is enchanting. Breakfast both days was delicious and generous. Can’t wait to have another excuse to stay here again (next time with my wife!)

Ideally located accommodation close to a tram stop to reach the center of Edinburgh in 15 min and easy to access also from the airport. Peaceful neighborhood. Friendly welcome by Serghei who made it clear to us how Airbnb works. We did not meet Lele. The bedroom is clean as well as the bathroom. Small gourmet detail on arrival that always makes you happy 😉

We had such an amazing weekend at The Gables. Angus was the perfect host - warm, friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The Gables is in a beautiful, peaceful location. The guest bedroom was spacious, and comfortable. The bed is a dream. Breakfast is served in a private dining room with Angus attending to your every needs. Definitely a 5* stay.

Our stay at Lucy’s Castle was wonderful! Lucy is a kind and knowledgeable host who shared fun facts about the sheep and countryside. The castle is a beautiful mix of old charm and modern comfort. As city people, we loved waking up to grazing sheep and even seeing deer nearby—something we’d never experience at home! Highly recommend for a peaceful, nature-filled getaway. Thank you, Lucy!

Clare was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The room was lovely and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious and filling. Clare was happy to give tips on how to spend our days best and sites to see. Tilly, the little border terrier, was incredibly friendly and always up for a pat. Would highly recommend staying with Clare!

David’s place in Edinburgh was perfect for our new year week getaway. It was our first time in the city and David was a gracious host who took the time to go over the city’s attractions in detail with us and gave us very useful pointers..He was also kind to guide us when we were stuck planning our onward journey. We loved his property with authentic furniture and decor and the bed was one of the most comfortable ones we’ve had in a long time. Any review would be incomplete without mentioning the perfect English/Scottish breakfast spread he cooked for us and his darling dog Figgy who absolutely stole our hearts. This particular stay will stand out as a memorable one to both of us and it even got us thinking maybe we should take up running an Airbnb ourselves in the future! Thanks David!

We had a amazing stay with Annabel and had a lovely breakfast in the morning. She was really nice and friendly and easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend her place!

We couldn’t have been made more welcome. Our two dogs were treated like Pat’s own and she even had them both in with her whilst we went out to dinner. Her home is lovely and you truly do get half a house! Bedrooms are beautifully themed and couldn’t be more comfortable. My husband had a full English in the morning and raced about, fresh, hot plate, everything you needed. Proper Yorkshire Tea too! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or to recommend to others. Thank you and it was worth every penny. Oh and the views - well, boon and you’ll see for yourselves!

We stayed here with our two dogs to break the journey on our return home from Scotland. Patricia was so kind and friendly and a true dog lover. The garden was safe and enclosed so our dogs could have a good run around. The annex was super clean, very spacious and we had a lovely breakfast before setting off. I highly recommend Patricia's B&B.

We had a the lovely few days at Carol's house; the bedroom and bathroom were lovely and very comfortable and beautifully clean. Carol cooked us a delicious breakfast each day, and was very accommodating with providing an early breakfast for my husband when he had to leave early the first morning and then cooking me breakfast later. The area is beautiful, and we would love to return to see more of it. Finally, Carol & her husband were very friendly and made us feel very at home. We would highly recommend!

Great village pub with a shop, great beer and beautifully cooked lamb & duck dishes in the evening. The accommodation was tucked away and felt private and we woke to birdsong and sunshine in the morning.
