Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Scottish Borders

It was the perfect house and surrounding to gather with my daughters and grandchildren and family. We felt homely and very happy. Thank you so much Kate for letting us stay in your beautiful home. We had a beautiful stay at Zounish's cottage, which was even more gorgeous than the pictures! We were lucky to have sunny weather and enjoyed walking into town and visiting the shops & cafes (our favourites were Cafe Ariete and Lothlorien Antique & Collectables Emporium). The location was easy to get to by foot, but a peaceful distance from the town. All we could hear from the garden was the little lambs baaing and birds singing!

Sarah is a lovely host and the house is large and comfortable. Everything is there that you could need for a nice stay in the countryside. Lots of walks and cycling options nearby, easy to get into Innerleithen, there are alpacas just around the corner, and the river Tweed is just over the road. A great place to relax and unwind.

Beautifully renovated and spacious property. Great home base for visiting mid and east Lothian. Very quiet surroundings and between rooms. Highly recommend for friend groups or families. Daniela is a very attentive hostess. Only downside- could only find 1 hair dryer and utility knives were dull.

We had a wonderful stay, really wish we had more time to spend in the house. It is a gorgeous property, filled with character, in a really friendly area. House is so cosy on a night, the children loved the house too. Hot tub is a lovely bonus, just need a baby sitter so we could spend more time in it next time. Would highly recommend!

Great place for a gals getaway. Loved the enclosed garden for the dogs and the party space with log burner in garden! Really handy for waterspouts too- we did paddle boarding at Kielder Waterside which was fab.

We had a really lovely stay, my husband was running the pennine way so it was the perfect place to rest up once he had finished and only 8mins drive from Kirk Yetham. Cottage was great, really comfy and cosy, everything we’d expected and more. Thank you so much for letting us stay, would absolutely come again!

We absolutely loved our night at the cottage and would have loved to stay longer. Briony was a great making sure everything was ready for our arrival and so many thoughtful little touches. Thank you. A great way to end our holiday.

we had an amazing stay. the hosts were brilliant with directions, local things to do. we were staying for a wedding close by. They offered us a lift to save a taxi fare ( not needed but very much appreciated) pointed us in the direction of the river so my wife could go for a wild swim. the dogs are great and came with us whilst we were outside and super friendly. the accommodation was perfect for our needs and we will definitely return for another peaceful stay in Northumberland. we left super early to go collect the kids after the wedding and we were given bacon rolls in lovely cheese bread bun. so nice and got us through the long drive. 10/10 stay thank you so much for hosting us. This place is my heaven. Each morning I would look out at the view in complete awe. Claire, her husband, the place and location were absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to come back.

Great location, quiet & just off the main road, easy to find. Parking outside. The apartment had everything we needed. We stayed just one night on our journey up to the east coast. Lauder is a great town and there looked to be some nice walks if only we had more time. Would definitely stay again.

Great location and very cozy, we stayed between Christmas and New Years with three young children and could walk everywhere. Unfortunately most of Jedburgh was closed over this period.

A great stay, we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and private garden area. The walk to the water falls behind the property was superb for our dog and the kids loved it. Bellingham is a great location for getting to Kielder. We would love to visit again!

Beautiful peaceful place to live. Views from the place are wonderful (it has set of stairs though). No clutter. As described. Wooden elegant furniture as I like. Both of the hosts were welcoming. On my next visit, this will be my preferred place of stay.

Really Lovely place. Was looking for somewhere peaceful to take my mum and dad away for the weekend whilst I’m home on leave, with our dog. And this stunning log cabin ticked all the boxes.

Our stay was peaceful and quiet, we were left alone and found the lodge to be exactly what we needed. It was well lit on the path, the fire pit was great as well as the location and views around the area and at the hot tub. We loved our time here. I’ve recommended it to people already!

Serene. That is the best way to describe this area. The pods are a perfect, non intrusive way to enjoy the landscape.

Two night stay which was brilliant, the lodges give a very peaceful escape from busy lives! Angela was great with communication and always available if needed. The lodge was very clean and comfortable with a great hot tub and unreal views! Also some very lovely Highland Cows and Belted Galloway’s in the field added to the views nicely. Would definitely recommend to others and will definitely stay again!
