It is a very nice cozy place to arrive and feel at home. A "homely" atmosphere throughout the apartment, an extremely quiet resort. In the apartment there is everything you need for a stay, the kitchen is well equipped and the host goes out of his way to accommodate any requests. We can imagine booking this place again. The only downside is that the house is far away from the village and you would be stuck without a car. For hiking but a great starting point from Urnäsch train station. Very good accommodation that offers the necessary for a stay. Friendly hosts who are happy to help with questions and recommendations. Centrally located with free parking. Appenzell "center" and shopping facilities are within walking distance.

Our stay at Janine‘s home was beyond anything we could have imagined. The setting is heavenly. We hardly wanted to leave the house. The surrounding area is absolutely amazing for hiking, which was the purpose of our trip. Janine greeted us when we arrived and spoke with us in perfect English, which was very helpful. Janine was helpful all throughout our stay giving us hiking recommendations as well as local eateries! The pictures on the website absolutely do not do the home justice. Every single person we met in the area was beyond kind and friendly.
