Timo's house is located directly on the lake 20 meters from the Ylläs Swing. Cross-country skiing trail starts right in front of the house. Äkäslompolo is a cross-country skiing paradise, for beginners and also ambitious cross-country skiers, excellent preparation of the trails - a paradise! Timo's house offers everything: Location, facilities, sauna, shower, 2 toilets, covered parking, even the wood for the fireplace with a large window is ready, it leaves nothing to be desired. Just great! That's where we'll go again!

Sooo beautiful place! We were looking for a quiet weekend and found just what we were looking for. Wonderful place to stay with a magical view. Refreshing morning swim and beautiful sunsets. Highly recommend!

The summer cottage and surroundings are beautiful, so peaceful and relaxing. We arrived from the UK in the early hours of the morning and the location was very easy to find by car. We made full use of the sauna, hot tub, bbq and kayak during our stay. There is a small beach area with shallow water and our daughter enjoyed playing there. The cabin is very clean and spacious with everything that a family could need. The owners 2 little dogs would visit us everyday and this was a highlight for our daughters. Thank you to Mirka and Timo for a wonderful holiday and for always being there to help and give tips on places to visit in the local area. We would definitely recommend staying at the summer cottage.

This house is truly wonderful, with a direct view of the lake and a large window overlooking it, making the view absolutely stunning. Everything was clean and fully equipped. The host was kind and flexible, allowing us to check out an hour later than scheduled. It also has a spacious balcony with a nice seating area and a barbecue spot. We spent just one day there, but we wished we could have stayed longer. This place truly takes you away from the worries of the world.

We were so nicely received - everything was clean, well-ordered and it was really a nice gesture with freshly picked wild flowers in the vases. The house is secluded and was perfect for a quiet and relaxing stay. The view was fantastic and the surroundings so beautiful. We felt really welcome and hope to come back!

Villa close to the sea and by the woodland, beautiful views of the meadows. Nice peaceful surroundings, very suitable for real rest. The house is furnished with all the gadgets you need, as if the owner had solved everything for his home. Finnish sauna very stylish, with a view from the window. Steam bath as an added bonus, also very relaxing. And to top off the hot water barrel with nature. Plenty of patio space, barbecue, rooms comfortable and the entire villa beautifully stylish and clean. Delightful experience with a small group for a couple of days to get out of town

I felt very comfortable at the place and could relax a lot! In the beautiful forest in front of the door you can easily find mushrooms for several meals! Only the reference to the "Scandinavian outdoor toilet" could have been a little more noticeable or visible in the pictures.

We have stayed several times in this accommodation with different configurations. Comfortable spaces and a wonderful terrace area.

We had a great stay at this superb villa in Päijänne. Villa was even more impressive than in photos and everything was high quality, very clean and well maintained. Beach sauna and jacuzzi were the perfect combo to relax in the evening. Highly recommend for a getaway in nature.

Amazing place to stay for our big Belgian/Finnish family to relax, to have privacy and to enjoy the Finnish outdoor. The photos represent the house and surroundings very accurately. We have absolutely no remarks about this place. We would definitely come back to this place!

Beautiful place! We were in a group of nine and each of us easily found space for ourselves. Two bathrooms and many sleeping places provided us with full comfort. The area is quiet, picturesque and conducive to relaxation. There is a well-stocked shop nearby, open 24 hours a day, which was a great convenience. The host responded quickly to all questions, and the house itself was fully equipped — we lacked nothing. Both check-in and check-out went smoothly and without any problems.

If you have any desire at all to come to Lofoten, book this place now. It’s spectacular: private, but right on a beach with snowy mountains and ocean mixing to make a perfect view. The house has everything: very comfortable beds, a living room with a view to die for, laundry, private parking, fast WiFi, well-kitted kitchen, a lovely deck, and a short private trail down onto the beach. Groceries and the Ramberg Resort restaurant are a short walk away, or a 2min drive. The only downsides are location downsides: while Lofoten is amazingly beautiful, it’s also got very messy weather and hours: rain can come at any moment, and during summer, the sun basically never sleeps, and during winter, it never shows up. But this would be a spectacular house for Northern Lights viewing, I’d bet, and it was amazing seeing midnight sunsets. All in all: if you can, book this place. You’ll love it.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Antti's house. The location on a peninsula on the lake was spectacular - lake views on both sides of the house. The house itself was lovely - very clean, comfortable well equipped and tastefully decorated. Even better than the photos. We really appreciated all the outdoor games and played a lot of croquet and Frisbee golf - Antti even bought a football so the kids could play, they were thrilled. Antti was a fantastic host - so helpful and kind and gave us a tour when we arrived. The real stand out though was the lake. Majestic was the word my husband used to describe the view. So beautiful and we were watching it and in it every day swimming and on the paddleboards/ in the row boat. The sauna with lake views was great too. We hope to be back.

We were 6 adults and 4 children and everyone was super happy!!! Everyone loved the pool, the children did not want to leave the house, they wanted to swim all the time. Foldable ping pong tables were used frequently. There were many board games. The view is fantastic. Very nice patios. A top apartment to rent with a host who was very easy to get in touch with if a question arose. Can be highly recommended.

Absolutely breathtaking. Every finish and detail felt purposeful and meticulously considered. The photos are precise, and the description is exact. We had a deeply relaxing, delightful time. There’s so much to enjoy and little reason to leave: we took the canoe out to circumnavigate small islands dotted with charming gulls, read peacefully on the dock, watched the water shift with the light, and ended each day in the delightful sauna. The summer nights glowed warm and still, turning every movie into a kind of fairytale. The house itself offers many distinct spaces—each one a quiet stage for nature’s daily choreography. From the moment we turned off the main road onto the enchanting gravel path—lined with tall trees and singing birds—we felt ourselves begin to exhale. We’ve stayed in many beautiful places around the world, and this one felt truly special. The host was very helpful and responsive, and his house manual detailed and helpful.

This was a wonderful location for our family gathering. The house was beautiful and the view was outstanding. The house functions well for a larger group and it was easy access to all Bergen has to offer.

Frida was fantastic both before and throughout our stay. Responded quickly and was always flexible with our wishes. The house was beautifully located and had everything you wanted for a girls' weekend. Would love to come back here another time.

I was speechless when I came to Arto's home (bed and breakfast), and I still saw a couple of nights and after getting home. I can't think of a single flaw and the visit exceeded all expectations. The home was incredibly beautiful, tidy, clean, full of aesthetics and absolutely everything you need to relax, a particularly good whole home-wide sound system, air-conditioned bedroom, commodities (lovely breakfast; included quality and essential needs for our own tastes, and for example, towel and “forgetful”needs were overlooked), from the breakfast room, morning slippers and bathrobes to birthday reminders, and lighting up to a pre-loaded sauna nest. I've been skeptical of staying in an inhabited house until now, at least I'm not at this house anymore. Arto was immensely friendly, clearly wanted guests to enjoy themselves, and the same feedback in its entirety to also sign two people who stayed with me separately.

We had a great three night stay here. It is a peaceful haven and has everything you need for a comfortable and Finnish stay. We loved the sauna and hot tub. Great spot for exploring the area. Aapo was very responsive and helpful and friendly.

The cottage was a short distance from the center and it was easy to find. The equipment in the cottage was really good and the hot tub was a highlight, especially for the children's trip :) You could also invest a little more in cleanliness outside the seasons, for example, dust balls under the beds. But this was the only minus, we would come again!

Stayed 5 nights as a family of 6 and loved every minute. Amazing house and location. Ludvig and Anna couldn't have been more helpful. Huge thanks - I'm sure we will be back!

Fantastic place to gather the whole big family. Opportunities to socialize and at the same time be able to withdraw when the house offers many peaceful places both outside and inside. Worked perfectly for all of us aged 8-78 years! Mårten is a very helpful host, we felt very welcome. Highly recommended!

the location on the lake shore, isolated in the middle of the forest is just fantastic. The house is beautiful, small but smartly designed and constructed. We had a great time.
