Overall- incredible. In a rustic building, but the space was very modern. The kitchen was stocked with all needed items and more. Same with the bathrooms. Lots of extra bedding. No complaints about the space, but the real star of the show was the location, animals, and friendly hosts. Hectares of farmland, with beautiful view of the sunset when it’s clear. There were dogs (very friendly), cats, sheep, a pig, chickens, and ducks and geese. The staff of the farm and Nicola were all easy to talk to and friendly. The dogs did a great job of keeping the property safe! It was fun to be surrounded by real life on the farm.

It’s a gem, this appartment. Quiet with a fabulous roofterrace and in about 30 Minutes you are in Matera. Owners are quick responders and gave us usefull (diner)suggestions.

Very comfortable house, well-stocked and really clean. Friendly and helpful owner. The place is easy to find. Calciano doesn't offer much (apart from beautiful landscapes), but it's a good place to explore the area. In any case, we had a great time.

We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Prospero’s in Matera. The apartment was exactly as described, spacious with absolutely anything you could need: fully stocked bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, first aid kit, with a terrace with a gazebo, outdoor dining area and 2 sun lounges. We didn’t want for anything! Prospero was very friendly and helpful. He greeted us on arrival, gave us a full rundown of the property and all of its amenities so we didn’t find ourselves looking for anything. In addition, he gave us many local recommendations for food (we went to Il Terrazzino on our second night at his recommendation and it was fabulous) - he gave us a map of Matera and told us the important places to visit, how to get there and how to acquire tickets. The apartment is also conveniently located just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful historic centre! All in all a big success and we would definitely stay again/recommend to a friend! Grazie Prospero!
