Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Santa Croce, Florence

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful property just outside Florence. The location was perfect—peaceful and scenic, yet only a short drive to the center. The house was spotless, well-equipped, and full of character, with breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside. Antonio was incredibly welcoming and responsive, making sure we had everything we needed. It was the perfect base for exploring Florence and the surrounding area. Highly recommended—we would absolutely stay here again!

I can not say enough about Alessandra and her amazing land! It was the most magical place we have ever been to. We are taking a 3 month trip, hitting up 21 cities in Europe and this is BY far the best! She was so kind and took us shopping and back to our train! She was always there when we needed her.thank you Alessandra we will see you next year!

After we arrived and were settled we were thrilled at the amazing views of the rolling hills. The landscape was breathtaking and the location was quite remote and peaceful. David was very responsive and we really enjoyed our stay! We would definitely come again!

The most beautiful place we've ever stayed at. Also very clean and comfortable. The hosts were so helpful by helping us prepare, reminding us a car is needed in the area, and by checking us in in-person and showing us everything we needed to know. Would love to get the chance to stay here again.

Our family of four loved this home. Here’s what felt extra luxurious to us: a separate wing for the 22 yr old, 3 bathrooms, high quality bed linen and towels, ability to do laundry and cook, wine and goodies on arrival, and a beautiful and serene park view. Birdsong in the morning, fireflies in the evening, pure magic.

We loved our stay at Michaela’s house. The views were beautiful and it was a nice and relaxing atmosphere. Great location, very short walk to the town or easy bus ride into the center of Florence. We will definitely be back!

What a beautiful and special place in Tuscany! You can sit and imagine living here hundreds of years ago as you enjoy all of the details Angela has provided to make it comfortable and abundant. The pictures don't do it justice...the place is larger and more embracing than the photos. Angela cared a lot and when a few little things were not quite right, she made them right. This is a beautiful and top place to stay to enjoy the Tuscany countryside, not far from Florence and all it offers. The town is charming and the folks were kind to us. We did, as one reviewer suggested, enjoy wine at the community center late one night and great sandwiches in the day! Make sure to explore the town in the day and take time to be a part of it.

Great rustic cabin escape. On the bus line to firenze so you don’t need to drive in the city, but also feels like you’re tucked away in the countryside. Pool was a plus. Beds were extremely comfy. Beniamino was extremely communicative. Great stay!

Brittany was super easy to work with and always quick to respond. She gave great information about parking and access and was VERY helpful when we were delayed in arriving.

We had an amazing week in the villa. Even if hou have other people living there, you feel so calm and free. There is a designated spot for each appartements to eat so you can enjoy good time outside. The site is so clean and we ser that the host take good care of everything. We had a lot of recommandations to discover te surroundings and the host was so easy to reach when we needed. All the commodities were there, the appartement is well equiped. I strongly suggest to rent a car, it’s the easiest way to enjoy your stay there. I surely recommand this place and I would go back again.

This place was perfect, if you don't mind climbing 4 flights of stairs. It is a beautiful and spacious apartment that is very walkable. Very close to the Duomo and many other sites. The book with recommendations was wonderful and so helpful. We were so happy with our stay here.

This Florence apartment offered a wonderful stay for our family, including a 2-year-old and a baby. Located on the second floor of an old building in the heart of Florence, it was remarkably quiet despite the bustling streets below. The two-level layout, with charming spiraling staircase to the loft, felt both unique and inviting. Immaculately clean and beautifully maintained, it mirrored the classic elegance of Florence itself, with picturesque views of neighboring balconies. The kitchen was well-equipped, featuring an electric stove, fridge, microwave, and a traditional Moka pot. Its prime location, just 15 minutes from the train station, 5 minutes from major attractions, and a maximum of 10 minutes from restaurants and shops, made exploring the city effortless.

Our week's stay was so nice. Rita was very responsive and gave great recommendations. She was also nice enough to set up a car to pick us up, for when we had an excursion, and to take us back to the airport. The bed was comfortable. The shower had great pressure and temperature control. Sitting out on the balcony and reading was so nice in the evenings. We had no issues with outside noise. We felt very safe with having 2 doors to lock. The AC units were great, given it was high 80s the whole time we were there. Be prepared for the stairs when you first get there with your luggage, that is the only challenge, but it is completely worth it. I would highly recommend staying here.

It is hard to find the superlatives to describe this absolutely wonderful villa. We spent 3 nights there with a group of 8 friends and really did not want to leave. The setting of the property is even more amazing than on the pictures: a shady terrace overlooking a beautiful garden with a pool in the middle, surrounded by lush hillsides and sweeping views of the valley beneath - all of this in complete calm, peace and quiet. Really, like in a dream. Moreover, the place is extremely well-equipped, with a separate BBQ room, pizza oven, changing rooms/towels/sunbeds for the pool area, extra-large fridge and full kitchen with all the modern amenities. Everything was spotless clean. You can also feel the attention to little details in all aspects of the villa. The location is quite remote, so better to come by car. Virginia and Daniela were super kind and delightful, + very easy to communicate with (they live in an attached house). They even offer dinner from locally grown food. Great stay!

Tommaso’s farmhouse was the perfect place for our family to stay in Tuscany! This was my dream house. We loved being able to sit and eat outside, and I never wanted to leave the beautiful living room filled with books. Everything was decorated so beautifully and the house just had the most gorgeous surroundings and character. We loved being close enough to Florence to experience all it had to offer but with the peace of being in the countryside. We hope to return one day and are so thankful for the amazing memories made here!

Beautiful home with incredible views and pool! We were looked after by Lara and Remus and had a wonderful 10 days relaxing. Easy location from which to visit Florence whilst being a peaceful and calm location to stay.

Mimma and her husband were amazing. My wife and I really enjoyed staying here during our stay in Florence. Beautiful modern home with every thing in the house ready for you when you get there. Lots of room for our luggage’s. Tv was a big smart tv, lots of privacy and most importantly they were very professional and nice. It felt like being at home compared to other airbnbs we have stayed at. Might be a bit pricey but I can say it was 100% worth it. You won’t regret staying here. Thank you Mimma!!! Will definitely come back if ever in Florence

Incredible host and property. We feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to stay here. Cesare was beyond helpful with recommendations and flexible with our check in. Secluded, peaceful and a great place for making memories during our travels around Italy.

Cristiana and Mauro were the most friendly hosts. They made us feel immediately comfortable and set us up for a great stay at their wonderful home, offering some fabulous nearby dinner recommendations, as well as directing us to local grocery stores, and train stations for easy day trips into Florence, etc. The farmhouse is beautiful and brimming with character throughout, offering spectacular views over Vicchio. The private swimming pool is bigger than the photos suggest, and not too deep - the kids loved it. The hot tub allows you to sit back and drink in the peaceful Tuscan views. The sauna was a great touch, which we enjoyed throughout our stay, along with the pool table/games room. The outdoor terrace is large and great for a BBQ. The road leading up to the house is a fun drive - we rented a 4x4 (highly recommended if you are planning to stay here) that made it relatively comfortable. We loved our stay and would definitely like to return as there is so much more to explore there!

This Airbnb was absolutely the best. We loved it. Christina and family paid great attention to detail and were very easy to communicate with.we loved Ettore as well. It was a beautiful and comfortable retreat. My only watch out for drivers from the USA - the roads are very narrow. Apart from that everyone we met in Tuscany were really helpful and pleasant. Certainly can recommend The Old Cave.

We booked the place for myself and my wife, my 2 daughters with thei husbands and my 4 grandchildren (aged 2 to 13) and their nunny. We all enjoyed our stay, we all felt we had privacy when we needed, and common areas to be all together. Excellent place for large families or parties. The host ready to answer all questions.
