Bed and breakfast holiday rentals in San Gimignano

The property is remote & far from everything on foot. You must have a vehicle. However, the view and the interior of the walls are worth the trip! It's beautiful. The room was superb, the only downside is that you had to go out at night in a corridor for the toilet. There are two beautiful large living rooms, a fireplace, a library, and a kitchen with a shared refrigerator. A beautifully decorated courtyard. I didn't like my arrival, only after 3:00 p.m. because the reception is closed and there is no one. We wanted to enjoy the view and the pool (not possible). The next day at 10 a.m. we should have already left, they repeated it 3 times, we understood the 1st time! It's early, so you have time to take a shower and have lunch. We were very unhappy! The pool, although eco-friendly, is more like a pond where swimming with frogs is possible. Be careful after 6:30 p.m. if you have a problem, no one answers! (Towels for rent at 5 euros.)

This is a very good hotel in siena, it's really beautiful and convenient,you can walk to the center(piazza di campo)in 5 minutes, when i lived there, it's a sunday, i find just in that day i can watch a show in piazza di campo, it's really interesting! And if you want to go out of this town, you can go with bus130 or bus131(bus station is about 5 minutes walk from the hotel), but the bus 130 and 131 are maybe just running three times a day.If you want to see another interesting position in Tuscany, maybe you should rent a car or find a tourist agency to pick you to that interesting place. To sum, this is really a wonderful hotel to choose!

We cannot recommend this property highly enough! From the beautiful setting, to the amazing hosts (who have the best local knowledge), this experience was amazing. We highly recommend a dip in the pool or enjoy a good book in the serenity. We already can’t wait to come back

Silvia's San Croce Terrace was a pleasure. It is easily accessed by bus from Santa Maria Novella station and a short walk to the major attractions and restaurants. We found the apartment to be very clean and well accessorized. Silvia even provided breakfast items such as yogurt, milk, juice and bread for toast. And then to be able to sit on the terrace at the beginning or end of the day was very nice. We highly recommend Silvia's San Croce Terrace.

We enjoyed the quiet location 30 minutes and less walk from activities and strategic places to visit in Florence. Lorenzo is really friendly and responded to all our needs. Thank you so much!

Very charming and beautiful place. The apartment has great space and it is quite unique. It is also close to many landmarks. It is in an area where it is very walkable and great stores, restaurants, and museums. Lastly, the host is quite responsive and very flexible. The only consideration is the steep steps to get to the apartment. But other than that, the apartment is great.

This place was magical. From the moment we arrived we were mesmerized by the beauty of the countryside and the beauty of the B&B. This was a last minute booking for us but we will be back when we can stay longer. Dinner was spectacular!

This place is immaculate and so peaceful! They have a shuttle that will take you up to the town four times a day which we used. I absolutely loved our stay and wish we could have stayed longer now. The restaurant on site was the best food we have had yet in Italy. We will be back someday!! Thank you Alessia !

The apartment had an amazing location because it was 2 minutes walk from the tower of Pisa. The Airbnb felt homely and comfortable. We slept really well each night. There was a stunning view over the mountains from the balcony, that I spend half an hour each morning enjoying. I really enjoyed spending time with the 2 dogs (Schnauzers) that live with Cristina, who are very friendly. I hope I can stay again next time I visit Pisa!

Excellent! Breakfast was phenomenal every single morning and we were tended to so perfectly. Check in was smooth— luggage drop off was so easy and we dropped off once we arrived in Florence and were able to explore. Luggage drop off was also available our checkout day and we were able to leave and explore before it was time to go—they also called a Taxi for us and had it waiting for us when we left. We did not get to use the pool, but the room and shower were perfect. Bed was a bit firm, but that is up to preference, not a complaint. Villa is also further away from city center, and requires a lengthy walk— but is without a doubt walkable. We walked every single day to the city center and across the bridge! You can even see the peak of the Duomo from the terrace! Area felt less tourist packed than other airbnbs in the area and we felt more surrounded by locals. The service was some of the best we’ve received and we were greeted every single morning and day. Great stay!

I arrived at 9:30 p.m. with my 6-year-old daughter and I immediately found the accommodation as per Andrea's directions, the road before the accommodation is a bit bumpy but my ten-year-old fiesta made it so everyone can do it:) The cottage is spacious and very clean enough to wander barefoot on the parquet, the fireplace is incredible it made me want to come back in winter to enjoy it lit! The only advice I can give, but only to improve the stay in the case of several days, is to replace the shower curtain with a box, which is more practical, but since I only stayed one night I did great! Absolutely amazing stay! The location and house were fantastic. We loved our terrace/ balcony. We got the train into Florence and walked through the gates into Lucca - Lucca is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, the best fresh croissants we’ve ever tasted! So much food and fresh orange and good coffee! Absolutely loved our stay here! Could come and go as we pleased, very quiet yet near everything. Thoroughly recommend. The bedroom/ embroidered sheets/ towels - attention to details which was appreciated.

Our stay at the castle was very memorable. Our host was absolutely fabulous. His articulation, his caring for our individual needs every morning. He made a custom map for us and highlighted some areas that he felt we would enjoy us on a lot of locations. We probably wouldn’t have gone without his suggestions and it was just a real nice, pleasant visit

Benedetta was warm in welcoming me and my girlfriend. She made herself available according to our timing and needs. We loved the room, including small details like topper, beauty kit, and extra pillow. Breakfast really varies for both savory and sweet. Benedetta welcomed us for breakfast, making sure everything was ok. Before leaving, she recommended what to do and what to see for our return home.

Lorenzo is a superstar! He is so warm and welcoming. We opted for dinner cooked and served by him for our 1 night stay, and it was a real treat. He pre organised dinner via message for our children to ensure they would be happy with what he served. He also offered to do dinner for them earlier, and for us after they had gone to bed which made for an extremely enjoyable and relaxing supper. He served local Tuscan cuisine in a stunning garden. Honestly as busy parents, this whole set up was so special. The house is beautiful, with a gorgeous garden and swimming pool, and the family room set up is great with the two bedrooms separated by a bathroom, and all locked away behind effectively your own 'front door' its more like a little flat. We would 100% stay with Lorenzo again, and wish we had been there for a week. Thank you :) x

Traveling alone, I found myself less confident and reclusive in my first 2 weeks in Italy. Upon reading reviews, I had a feeling Suzi would snap me out of it. And she DID!! She was so welcoming, made me a delicious dinner the first night, and made me a part of her family for the week. I was even invited to her milestone birthday party with all her lovely friends, and then another joint birthday family dinner at home. She gave me a bunch of awesome recommendations, always asked if I needed anything, and calmed me down when I called her in despair, being lost in a field somewhere, lol! The room was huge and cozy, the shower sooo nice! (I was in the room off the kitchen) Suzi is very intelligent and we had some interesting conversations. Her two dogs Tyra and Gigi stole my heart immediately. I will be back, maybe as a work away! I will never forget your kindness and the remarkable woman you are <3

Our stay at the B&B Sottomonte was simply fantastic. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Adam, the host - you immediately feel at home. Adam was not only incredibly friendly, but also extremely helpful: he gave us great tips for excursions, restaurants and hidden highlights in the area that made our vacation really special. The house itself is beautifully located - in the middle of the Tuscan countryside, quiet and idyllic. Our room was lovingly furnished, very clean and comfortable. We particularly liked the breakfast - fresh, regional and prepared with love. Sottomonte is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the real Tuscan way of life. We would have liked to stay longer and will definitely come back. Thank you, Adam, for this unforgettable time!

Maria Livia’s place was fantastic. Spotlessly clean and well-appointed in a beautiful location. Excellent value for money and Maria Livia was a wonderful host. I would happily stay there again.

Great experience. The room is really nice, equipped with everything you need and above all... very clean. Rosy was an exceptional host and provided precise directions on house rules and location. The property is just outside the historic center of Arezzo and in a strategic location for visiting Florence and Siena. Super recommended.

What an incredible stay we had in Chris’s lovely apartment! As other reviews have said, the photos truly don't do the view justice—it’s absolutely breathtaking. We had to keep pinching ourselves to believe what we were seeing! Chris was very helpful and accommodating, especially regarding his two rescue dogs, who—for whatever reason—didn't get on well with my husband and son. Chris was extremely understanding and kindly kept the dogs inside whenever we were outside or by the pool, which we really appreciated. Both bedrooms and the living space are very comfortable. Note that the second bedroom’s bathroom is only accessible from outside, but it’s beautifully done with a gorgeous waterfall shower, and it didn’t feel like an outdoor bathroom at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay—Chris’s property made for a truly memorable holiday.
