The house was great--easy to get to, very spacious, good value. Ellen is an excellent communicator and quickly responded when I had a couple misc. questions. It was nice to sit down at the dining table for a take-out meal, watch a movie, and pick between the two bedrooms! Would be a rad place for a group of people/family, too.

We just stayed there for one night...arrived after midnight and we left by 10am the next morning. Beds were comfortable and home was pleasant.

Ellen is a great hostess, as is her Airbnb partner, Jessica. The house suited my needs perfectly. I stayed from February-May while working as a travel nurse at IUHC.

Such a cute house in a great neighborhood! Right across from Kinnick Stadium and about a mile to downtown IC which was a $4 uber ride, not to mention there are cabs all over the place. There's a cute little restaurant/bar a block away called Stella's which we loved. Ellen was really flexible with our reservation. Highly highly recommend staying here!!

I enjoyed staying at Dat & Alan's home a lot. It is a gorgeous house in a nice neighborhood. I am thankful that they helped pick me up and drive to the bus station multiple times. I am glad that I have the chance to visit des monies and stay with them for two days!

We loved staying here in Dubuque! This lovingly updated historic house is very quiet, clean, and comfortable. And the kitchen is a dream. We felt it was an excellent value. Tama-Lea was an easy and ready communicator without intruding. The historical neighborhood is beautiful and fascinating, perfect for walks in all directions (phone GPS came in handy). The 11th Street stairs take you to the library, shops, and cafes. Plenty of on street parking right out front. We found many fun, interesting, reasonably priced activities in Dubuque: National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium, Riverwalk, Fenelon Elevator, Eagle Point Park, public library, and exploring historic neighborhoods. We highly recommend spending a couple of days in Dubuque, especially staying at this extraordinary property!

This gorgeous house is perfectly no located to enjoy Galena and Debuque! The house is just as described and pictured, and has a great mix of modern and antique decor, along with a beautifully renovated kitchen. Checking in and out were a breeze, and our hosts even shoveled the walk for us after a light snow. We had a fantastic stay and plan to come back soon!

Tama-Lea was a wonderful host. She had extra sheets and towels set up for us, allowed a dog to tag along in the house, and was always available if needed. All that goes without mentioning the beauty of the home. Great place to host friends and relax for a weekend!

Everything about the Herda House is easy and charming. Easy to access, easy parking, plus, it's a short walk to downtown Cedar Rapids. It's a spotless, charming residence that nods to its history, which just makes it more interesting. There are good food and drink choices nearby, and the neighboring merchants are friendly and helpful. The house itself is comfortable with modern conveniences, including a mini-fridge. So glad we picked this one for our one-day business trip.

We enjoyed staying two nights (Saturday and Sunday) in the this one-room house, which seems to be very recently refurbished: fresh paint, flooring, walk-in shower, and wash-stand-style sink, everything well-maintained, clean, working fine. The big oak bed is one of the most comfortable ones we've ever slept in! We didn't really have any questions, once we arrived and picked up the keys per instructions ahead of (URL HIDDEN) the only time I spoke with Steph was when I dropped off the keys Monday morning. This is a fairly lively urban location and the house sits right at the front of the property, so there was some noise on Saturday night as patrons left the nearby pubs, but nothing particularly loud or disturbing, just people talking and car doors slamming. We felt that the location was described accurately in the listing. It's not set up for a morning cup of coffee or tea, but there are two coffee places within a half block. The NewBo Market across the street is an interesting operation, and looked to have a multitude of good lunch options, but we were visiting relatives so weren't there at the right time of day. You might want to note that the Market is closed Monday through Wednesday, except for the coffee place inside, which is only open until 10 AM. We would recommend the nearby Czech Museum and Sykora Bakery for kolaches.

I enjoyed my stay at this interesting little house. It was spotlessly clean on arrival, key pick-up and drop-off at the business next door was easy and parking was plentiful. The rehab done on the property is first rate - it looks and lives very nicely. Note: It is on a relatively well-traveled street, so a bit of night-time noise, but nothing excessive.

The host had everything set up as advertised and all of the pictures were accurate. We enjoyed this small bungalow and the area was fabulous. My husband and I were there for six days visiting family and have deemed this our place to stay for future visits. Great coffee at Brewmania!

This Airbnb is just 1.2 miles from Blank Children's Hospital, which made visiting our hospitalized grandson very easy. Our family group of five people loved having this clean home in a quiet neighborhood as a retreat at the end of the day. Aly had fresh flowers waiting for us when we walked in the door, which added to the coziness of this place. Our ten year old grandson stayed with us and enjoyed running around the back yard to let off steam. I highly recommend this listing for those who want a conveniently located, nicely furnished, and clean place to stay.

If possible, I would give Aly's place a 6/5 on every rating. This house is as cute as they get, well decorated and comfortable. The kitchen had the necessary tools for me to cook. The TV was straightforward to operate. The beds were each equipped with sleep enhancing aromatherapy lotion. Really, I would go out of my way to come back to Des Moines just to stay here. It'd make for a nice writer's retreat.

Alan and Dat are truly two of the most hospitable people I have ever met. They both go above and beyond to make their guests feel welcome. We had a fantastic time staying with them and getting to know them. They're both very cultured and interesting characters who can chat you up about pretty much anything you can imagine. And their home is phenomenal. To be honest, I was overwhelmed by the description of their place and being the skeptic that I am I could not imagine what a home with a spa and theatre would look like. It will exceed your expectations!

What a great house! The most technologically advanced house my best friend and I stayed in. The room was cozy. The decor was contemporary. Alan offered the hot tub for us to use. Next time we will give it a whirl. Overall a great experience.

This Loft/Apartment was amazing. We were in town for a wedding at Hotel Julian and the loft was in perfect distance from the hotel and provided way more space and amenities. Charles and Tom were super helpful. They accommodated a later check in on Friday since we were not able to arrive till about 8. Tom recommended some restaurants. He sent us to Kalmes for burgers and they were delish. The little co-op store down the street from the loft provided plenty for us to cook food in the loft also. We really wish we had time to try Brazen for dinner, a recommendation from Tom. Would stay again in a heartbeat next time we are in the area.

The loft lived up to its billing! And the service was great too. We asked for two umbrellas and they were there quick. This is a great place, very spacious and clean, close to great restaurants. Highly recommend!

I definitely have to say that our experience was awesome! This was our first time to the Dubuque/Galena area, and the accommodations were by far the highlight of this trip! We ended up getting in really late, but Captain Charles and Major Tom were fantastic and had us all set up with our arrival. A minor glitch turned into an amazing experience as we ended up staying in the larger loft. Our jaws dropped at how gorgeous the space was. We literally could have stayed indoors the entire time and enjoyed the mini vacation with our family. If we ever come out this way again we know that this is the place to stay!

The Novelty Lofts are a great place to stay in downtown Dubuque. The loft is exactly has listed and is in a great location, in walking distance of all the great restaurants and shops in downtown Dubuque. My college girlfriends and I stayed in the loft and it was the perfect space for a weekend of hanging out. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of room and the loft had air mattresses ready for us to use. I would highly recommend this rental for anyone staying in Dubuque with a group of friends of family. Charles was very responsive and easy to work with.

Loft is nice and clean in an up and coming area of Dubuque. Owner was very responsive to our needs. Large and airy, great for entertaining. We will definitely be coming back! Our relatives that visited us are excited to use Captain Charles's place for future guest options.

We stopped through Davenport on our way from South Carolina to Minnesota for one night. We had the most wonderful experience with Lynda. She waited up for us for our late midnight arrival and showed us around. The bed was so comfortable - we slept the best we have in years. The whole home was SO clean and beautiful, it was much nicer than a hotel. There were a couple times when we exclaimed to each other that we wanted to move in. :) We planned on leaving at 7a the next day, but we wanted to sleep in and hang out around the house so we ended up delaying our departure. The breakfast spread was wonderful, as well. We are already planning our next trip to Davenport JUST to stay here with Lynda again. We also loved the very sweet dog and cat!

Lynda was lovely. When I arrived we had a great conversation. Feel like we've known each other for a long time. From our conversation she made a great recommendation about sightseeing that fit my interest. Her home is in a nice quiet neighborhood not far from downtown. It's easy to get to and find. The whole house is beautifully decorated inside in a warm modern style. The bed and linens are nicer than most expensive hotels. And she has the fluffiest towels, also better than most expensive hotels.

We enjoyed our visit in Lynda's home very much. She's a wise and considerate host, and her home is welcoming, restful, and very clean.

Our stay at Red Rock Lake was PERFECT! We stayed in between our art show events for some nice quiet time and we got it. Len and Sharon are the best hosts you could have-they thought of everything one could possibly need and when our stay was up we really hated to leave. I told Sharon that I hesitate to leave a good review because everyone will want to stay there and then we won't be able to go back because they will be all booked up-lol Thank you Len and Sharon for a wonderful almost zen-like atmosphere

We loved staying at the lake house at Lake Red Rock! Len and Sharon made us feel very welcome at their beautiful home, and we enjoyed learning about some of the history of the area from Sharon. We found the whole experience of staying at the lake house incredibly relaxing. Len and Sharon were available if we needed anything, and were very communicative. We can't wait to go back for another visit!

We stayed here to get away from from the responsibilities of work and children - to just be us. It was perfect. We didn't have to spend the day in a car to get somewhere quiet and scenic. When we arrived, we got a brief history of the area from Len and Sharon (my husband has since become interested in learning more about Lake Red Rock), and were shown to our space. The fire was already burning...we had nothing to do but relax. We used the hot tub three times, kept the fire burning all day (Len kept our wood supply full), and never left the place. We brought food and the kitchen had everything we needed to prepare it all. You will not be disappointed in your stay here!

This house is an incredible experience and great for a romantic getaway. The view can't be beat and there are several nice personal touches such as treats, information, spa like bathroom, coupons/local info and more. Be aware there is a long gravel road leading up to the house, but once you're there the house is worth it.

We had such a relaxing, peaceful stay at this apartment on Red Rock Lake. It was beautifully decorated and the bed couldn't have been more comfortable. There were so many nice touches, like almond pastries from Jaarsma's Bakery in Pella, guest robes in the bathroom, a prayer room for quiet reading, the makings for smores in the kitchen... The views were gorgeous, and we enjoyed roasting hot dogs and sitting by the fire pit in the evenings. Thank you Len and Sharon for your warm hospitality!

Nathaniel's home in the old creamery was right at the top of my Air BnB experiences. The house itself is very spacious and the interior is pulsating with artistic vitality. The countryside location in Fertile is ideal for relaxation. I highly recommend staying here if you are ever in the Clear Lake area.

Happy to have stayed here very much. The place feels really good to be in--the upstairs has nice different spaces to hang out and the bed was really comfortable and so forth, but the downstairs is beautiful and transporting and Nathaniel really made us welcome there. The back living room, the kitchen, the river, the light, the cats, wonderful. Also very special to have a reason to be in that tiny town and explore the area. Pilot Knob State Park, Clear Lake, Mason City- nothing spectacular but so memorable. The town of Manly- all its public signage, and by Fertile, all interesting. Nathaniel was considerate, warm, accommodating, and loved his place. Really was an escape.

Our stay at this eclectic Creamery was eclipsed only by the thoughtful presence and conversation of the host, Nathaniel. The Creamery's charm lies in the delight and curiosity you feel in picking up all sorts of antique objects (a surprise found in every corner), browsing through a vast collection of books, gazing out the windows. Nathaniel played REAL flamenco records, after I told him I liked flamenco!. My friend had a heartfelt discussion with Nathaniel about searching for one's hidden roots. We came away with the feeling we had made a friend and immediately missed being there upon leaving to continue our road trip. Btw, Nathaniel made a good impromptu dinner for us that included a drink with a fennel seed infused alcohol that made you actually stop and think about what you were tasting. We hope others come to stay, relax, enjoy the company and solace. "Soda"

Nathaniel helped create some wonderful memories. His home is a gem, his old-world hospitality and conversation is marvelous. I was visiting Mason City for a conference and The Old Creamery is a more than worth the extra drive for those considering it. Every 5 star review below me is absolutely accurate and completely indicative of the reception you will receive.

A truly special place. We could have easily spent a few days at The Creamery and still have felt like there were more nooks and crannies to explore, fascinating books to flip through, and pieces of history to discover. Nathaniel has put a lot of care into creating a relaxing and intriguing place for his guests. Beds were clean and comfy, and we immediately felt right at home. He even made us a delicious dinner after our long day of driving! I cannot say enough good things about our stay - we truly hope to come back one day.

This is a wonderful place. I stayed here at the end of a long day and a long drive, and I had such a restful and peaceful stay. There is plenty of privacy here, as you have the entire upstairs of the Creamery to yourself, but Nathaniel is also a friendly and welcoming host who will make you feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again.

Nathaniel was a wonderful host and a great communicator! His renovations have turned the Old Creamery into a charming space that immediately felt warm and like home for us. It was the perfect getaway spot for a mini-retreat from the twin cities. I will be back and I will bring friends!

I travel for work and try to stay in downtown DSM, and Ricky's place was just perfect. A very clean, comfortable, and open space with a fantastic view. Literally steps from my favorite coffee shop, and some of Des Moines' best restaurants. Even though it's in the heart of the city, the apartment was calm and quiet for a good nights sleep. Check in was easy, communication was fast, and the free parking was a huge factor for me - can't recommend this place enough!

This condo was perfect! The location was great. We were able to walk to coffee shops in the morning, and restaurants and in the evening. The bed was comfy and not having to worry about downtown parking was nice. The communication was great and would definitely stay there again.

My stay could not have been more perfect. The apartment is immaculate and incredibly large for a studio. The downtown location makes it easily accessible to all parts of Des Moines. The host was quick to respond to any questions.

Place was comfy and clean and Ricky was more than accommodating. Another great AirB&B experience. There was some morning noise, but nothing unexpected for a downtown site. Place had a relatively well equipped kitchen. We stocked up at the HyVee market, a block or so away, and had breakfast in the apt. Ricky's place is beautiful, bright, and modern. His directions for check-in and out were very clear and helpful, and he was very easy to get in touch with. This is a beautiful space-- we definitely recommend!

What a great quiet and quaint place! Julie was there to greet us and show us around and then left us to enjoy the weekend! The atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for to relax and get away from our hectic lifestyles. It has a country feel, but is close to civilization. Loved it! What a wonderful weekend! The cottage is perfect for a getaway, is close to DSM and the surrounding area. The cottage itself is immaculate, charming and comfortable. Our host was very accommodating and welcomed us with a great explanation of the space and grounds. I will come back.

Our stay in Julie's cabin was wonderful. Julie met us outside and showed us the grounds. We had a nice chat, then she left us to our weekend. The cabin is very well appointed with cozy/comfortable living space, a perfectly stocked kitchen for guests that wanted to cook most meals, like we were; and a lovely bedroom that made us feel very much at home. Julie left a few gifts for us as well in the form of treats and kind note. We built fires, we cooked meals, we slept well and we explored the area. It was a terrific pair of days and we cannot recommend Julie's cabin enough. A top AirBnB spot.

The cabin was beautiful and felt very quiet and isolated despite being only minutes from Des Moines and Ankeny. It was a great cozy retreat and Julie was very friendly and helpful. She had a little basket of goodies and a nice note waiting for us and gave me a tour of the place. I highly recommend this spot to anyone trying to get away with their spouse.

I can't say enough good things about Julie and the cottage. She is a fantastic host and the cottage is just the ticket if you are looking for some relaxation. You aren't far from civilization, but it feels like you are in a secluded little retreat. Beautiful landscaping, lots of wildlife to view, and a great running/biking/hiking trail just down the road. I honestly didn't want to leave!

Such a beautiful house and after days of having bad night sleeps on the road, I slept for ten glorious hours. If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful stay, this is absolutely the place.

We were warmly welcomed and given a tour of this lovely, historic home that is surrounded by gorgeous garden flowers and plants. We quickly felt right at home. Our room for the week was comfortable, roomy and airy with large windows for cross ventilation on warm days. The hosts were very cognizant of our use of their shared bathroom on the second floor as we never experienced any access problems. The kitchen was open to us for cooking and as described, we had areas to store food and supplies in the frig and cupboard. We very much enjoyed getting to know Martha, Frank and Simba and look forward to a return visit.

Martha was an awesome host. Her house and aura was ultimate peace and total zen! I slept like a baby in one of the bedrooms. Loved the location and the greenery surrounding the house. Would, definitely, recommend staying at Martha's!

Martha's house, in the historic part of Iowa City, is spectacular, clean, quiet and warm. She and her husband were very welcoming. Although it was a very brief visit for us I would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended, particularly for those who want to be near the university.

After staying with Martha and Frank, we are trying to find any reason possible to spend the night at their humble abode for a second time! From the minute we drove up to their beautiful home we knew we were in for a treat. The beautiful gardens are a warm welcome, and that's just the beginning. Martha and Frank are so easy going and we felt as if we'd known them forever! Along with Simba, their cutie little pup made us feel right at home. We stayed in the blue room, and the bed and pillows were ammmmazzzing! Another perk is the location! Walking distance to everything you could want, and then right back to the secluded and quiet oasis.

We were warmly greeted by Linda and Terry when we arrived. Their home was everything we were wanting for our stay in Des Moines. Linda provided lots of little extras as well. My daughter was happy there was a nice separate room for her, and enjoyed playing with the family dogs.

My husband and I had a great experience at Linda and Terry's house. We felt right at home and enjoyed getting to know them. Location is great, close to Downtown Des Moines. Their neighborhood is well established and very nice. We were very happy with our stay!

This has so far been my favorite air bnb experience! Linda and Terry were incredibly friendly and kind and I really enjoyed the conversations that I had with them. They have a beautiful home and it is in a very nice neighborhood that is close to all that Des Moines has to offer. The space was immaculate! The bed was really comfy and I had a wonderful sleep. Our experience was wonderful. Linda and Terry were lovely and accommodating. The description was exactly as stated/pictured- clean, organized, and comfortable. The neighborhood was quiet and the overall location was perfect for the various parts of Des Moines. We felt at home and they both went out of their way to make us comfortable. Terry made breakfast and we were able to have great conversation with them in the morning. Over the course of our trip, my nephew was so excited to talk to them, we could barely keep him downstairs. Terry was nice enough to let him come upstairs with him in the morning. I couldn't recommend them highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to stay there in the future!

Beautiful home in a great neighborhood with walkable access to the art center and a beautiful lakeside park. We were welcomed by Terry who was super friendly and we sat in the Patio to chat and he gave us some great insider tips for what to check out and where to eat like zombie burger and Des Moines tap room. The place is very clean and has beautiful personal touches that will make you feel at home. There is a coffee machine in your basement room and a charger adaptor in the outlet so no need to pack your charger. Overall a fantastic experience for our first time in Des Moines. Kori and her home are both lovely. We stayed for only one night (and arrived late, she was very accommodating), but felt very at home. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spotless, and her collection of books in the guest room is impressive. Kori herself seems like quite an interesting women, we were sad we were not able to spend more time to get to know her! One of the best Airbnb stays I've had.

I was impressed by how organized and comfortable my visit to Kori's home was- what a little gem! I was especially impressed that Kori is so proficient at hosting, she was able to do an awesome job even whilst suffering from a backache!
