Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Iowa

Great hosts. Clean home. Clear instructions. plenty of space. if we stay in/near Waterloo again, we'd definitely consider staying here.

Although we only stayed one night, we were really comfortable here. clean, spacious and a kitchen that was very easy to work in. we made a nice breakfast for some local relatives and we were able to relax and catch up on the comfie living room furniture. Lots of cute touches in the decor throughout the house. while we didn't venture out to the yard, it is also spacious and well furnished for relaxation and play. Ella was flexible enough to allow us in a little early so we could get dressed for the funeral we came into town for. we were much more comfortable here than we would have been at a local hotel, for basically the same price. Exit instructions were clear, basic and easy. Thanks for a great stay, Ella.

Rose and Jim were very helpful as soon as we booked the air bnb! They were helpful in offering recommendations, ensuring we got in to the air bnb okay and making sure we were comfortable at the home! The pictures were amazingly accurate and had the best decor for the feeling we were going for! The kitchen was even well stocked with more than I expected to be able to find in an Airbnb!

Linsy's place met my expectations. It was clean and private. I had my wife and a 2 year old with me in this trip and it sufficed our needs. Plenty of room for the little guy to run around. From check in to check out was a breeze. Host kept in contact the whole time. I recommend this place when staying in Dubuque

Anthony’s house is really nice and clean. Darn near spotless. He was very responsive when I messaged him. He said he was actively working to deal with the only issue I experienced regarding noise from a nearby property. It was a positive stay overall for me.

We stay at David's house whenever we are in Muscatine and absolutely love the home! We will continue to stay here whenever we can, the house is beautiful and they always make us feel welcome and supported while we're in town. We'll see you again in a few months!

Wonderful stay. Jill has a lovely house in walking / bike riding distance to downtown Cedar Rapids and local parks. Highly recommend.

I stayed here while in town for my nursing clinicals, and this place was a total lifesaver! My clinical site was only 3–5 minutes away walking, which made everything so convenient. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The surroundings were absolutely beautiful and peaceful… such a nice escape after long days. The host was incredibly kind and responsive, always getting back to me quickly and making everything feel smooth and stress free. Even though I came for work, it truly felt like a relaxing retreat. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend! :)

Lisa's home is beautiful! Spectacular views! We met friends for an overnight stay. Lisa's place had everything we needed, we spent 90 percent of our time outdoors enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. We will definitely return for our annual get together. Thank you Lisa for an incredible experience!

Staying with Susie is now a yearly trip for us. She is an amazing host and you cannot beat the charm of the town. My daughter looks forward to this stay more than any other we take. Can’t recommend staying here enough.

We stayed here for a family girls weekend and it was perfect! There was plenty of space and it was cozy and comfy! The place was so cute in a peaceful area but it was also super easy to get to where we wanted to go in the city. Check-out tasks were also quick and minimal. We will definitely stay here again if we’re in the area!

We loved being right on the little river - It was so peaceful to just sit on the deck and have coffee and be by the running water.

I loved my stay at the Malvern Depot! I walked on the Wabash Trace Nature Trail from Council Bluffs to Malvern that day and was expecting a simple and boring small town. I was surprisingly mistaken! Malvern is a great town. The depot is an awesome place to stay along the way; clean, comfortable, and cute. It is a short walk from 2-3 places to eat, Casey's, a grocery store, the art church, and local festivities. These things are usually unheard of in a town with about 1000 people. I had a great walleye dinner at the cafe. Then, the town was hosting a STEM event for the children, which included a band and a ballet performance by the Des Moines Ballet. I can't believe I had such great luck. Then the next day, I walked to Ike's Place in Shenandoah. I asked Cheryl if she knew anyone who I could pay to pick me up and take me back to my vehicle in Council Bluffs, and she offered. So, I met Cheryl and her sister, Marsheila, and had a fun ride back. This place has always been wonderful, it's very quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful time with our family and hope to visit again soon.

We had a perfect little stop at Amanda’s cabin on their property! It is literally minutes from the state park, and the location felt so serene. At the time of our visit, the bedroom doors didn’t shut all the way, which was a little hiccup for bedtime, but it ended up being fine. Our kids loved Johnny the turkey and the chickens roaming about, and the washer/dryer was so helpful after a day at the lake. The host was very responsive and accommodating. Thank you!

Beautiful cabin in private area. Very quiet and secluded. Lovely decor and well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Rick responded promptly to all communication.

It is a very beautiful cabin! The neighborhood was very friendly and we felt very safe. We were especially thankful that we could take our two large dogs with us. They were very clear with their rules and quick to respond when we had a question. Thank you for sharing your cabin with our family! :)

This was our second year staying here, and it won’t be our last! The atmosphere is perfect—laid-back, welcoming, and full of charm. The community truly makes you feel at home. Kelly remembered us from last year and treated us like old friends, even giving us some free worms to get our fishing started. The community fire pit is a great place to relax and meet new people, and the fishing is top-notch. We caught over 20 walleye between 15–19 inches and even landed a beautiful 33.5-inch pike. We’re already looking forward to year three. Whether you’re planning a family getaway or a trip with friends, Sabula is a hidden gem you won’t want to miss!
