Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Roanoke

Amanda's home was very cozy and felt very much like staying at a family member home, with lots of family photos and personal decor that was a nice departure from the sterile feeling you get from a hotel or many rental stays. There is a strong Christian presence in the home which is something my family appreciated. She was very accommodating and I would love to stay here again in the future.

I had a wonderful stay at this charming home in Roanoke! The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet—perfect for relaxing—but still incredibly convenient. You’re just minutes away from some great restaurants in the area, and getting downtown is a breeze. The house itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The host was responsive and thoughtful, making check-in smooth and stress-free. I especially appreciated the little touches that made it feel like home. If you’re looking for a calm, comfortable place to stay that’s close to great food and easy access to everything Roanoke has to offer, this is it. I absolutely stay here again!

Had a great 2 night stay at the cute cottage. Comfy bed, great views and cozy little front porch for coffee. Easy in and out to VT campus. Anna was very helpful with tips and communication.

Our hosts were extremely responsive to our needs and Gateway Cottage was very comfortable. The cottage was very well stocked. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Thank you Barbara and Phil.

2nd stay at the apartment. Great location for us as close to family. Quiet even though another family was staying downstairs. Only issue was getting the tv remote to work but we just cast from apps in which worked fine. Might have been user error. WiFi was great so I could set up a workstation and was able to work when needed.

Barb and John were very friendly. We felt right at home. The place had every detail thought of and we were every comfortable. Our stay was very comfortable. Every creature comfort was thought of and supplied. Very thoughtful Air BNB. Highly recommended to anyone.

this was a fun weekend trip we take every year to see our friends who live locally. We usually stay at hotels in Blacksburg or Christiansburg. This was cheaper than a hotel, we drove less and it was in a quaint little town. It was immaculately clean and had all we needed for a two night stay.

Beth & Stephen were both super fast at responding when I needed them. They are very friendly/ kind. The unit is sooo beautiful, very spacious pictures do no justice. I’ll certainly be returning.

Our visit was quick but we enjoyed our stay. Next time we will bring food & drink and make use of the kitchen.

The studio was cozy, spacious, and clean, with a clear private entrance. We had no issues during our stay and the neighborhood was nice and quiet. Conveniently close to family, restaurants and stores.

This was my second visit to the property, and it was just as magical as the first. The space is peaceful, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully infused with nature and floral touches throughout. My husband, our two children, and I stayed in the Lily Loft, which worked perfectly for us. We loved walking the grounds, visiting the flower farm, relaxing in the sauna, and soaking in the calm of the surroundings. The kids especially enjoyed the outdoor swings and the games generously provided in our room. Such a special place—we can’t wait to return again!

We loved it and felt right at home! We attended my son’s graduation from @RoanokeCollege and it was an easy drive! Mark was responsive and amazing the whole weekend! Highly recommend!! We will stay again for certain!!

Perfect for dog lovers and lake lovers! I’ve rented various condos at Smith Mountain Lake and several different ones at Stripers Landing, but Shannon’s place is now my new favorite. With a great view, plenty of space and the option to bring the pup - it’s such a treat. Highly recommend.

Stylish condo with beautiful views off the Bluffwalk. Very clean and well-appointed with comfortable and cozy bedding. Awesome central location within downtown - so many fun shops and restaurants in walking distance. Great walking trails along the river as well! Jessica is great to deal with, very responsive. Highly recommend, and hope to return!

“Tranquility Cove” is a perfect description of our restful & relaxing stay that my husband & I enjoyed during Mother’s Day weekend. Mary Anne is an exceptional host who provided for all our comforts with every amenity that we needed to enjoy a relaxing weekend at Smith Mountain Lake. The view of the sunrise over the lake & mountains along with the peaceful surroundings, access to the swimming pool & fitness center provided all that we needed for our dream-vacation-weekend. My husband & I have found our vacation destination at SML!
