Holiday rentals with an EV charger in River Eden

Perfect little flat. Extremely well equipped. Everything seemed brand new when I was there. Central location. Spacious kitchen. Car park a few minutes walk away which is free overnight until 8am. Easy communication with owner. Very happy with it and would recommend.

Second time at Whitbarrow in Jennifer's flat, we had a great time again.

This was a great find. Alison has catered for every little detail - experience built up over many years. The generosity of the welcome hamper and milk in the fridge was really appreciated. We had two excellent evening meals at the Milecastle Inn and would thoroughly recommend, as Alison had.

We booked this accom very last minute(3hrs before we checked in), and turned out to be a great choice. Having never heard of Whitbarrow Village we did not know what to expect and was very pleased to find this apartment was part of a larger holiday village complex. The apartment was very well kitted out and had all mod cons you would want, some cleaning products and tea/coffee bits,plus a nice outdoor seating area and close access to the pool and games areas. The main reception building was very clean and the pool facilities were fantastic as well as the kids games area & cinema room (9yr old with us). Only a 15 min drive to Keswick or Penrith made it a great location just off the A66 but so peaceful & quiet. Friendly on-site staff and well maintained garden areas. Overall a great little find and will definetly stay at Whitbarrow Village again.

Great location just outside of grasmere - always a plus if you can set off on your walk from the doorstep

Enjoyed our stay at Kate's place for a second visit. Has all the amenities we needed and we can feel very relaxed there. Kate was very helpful with our booking. She dealt very promptly with one minor maintenance issue. She's a thoughtful host and there were fresh flowers, milk and biscuits to welcome us. We enjoyed chatting to Kate. What a truly wonderful little place, there is so much to do for the kids and my two really did enjoy it! The apartment was absolutely stunning, spotless and also very spacious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to book a trip away to the lakes be it with children or without. We will definitely be coming back!

Lovely apartment for our Lake District stay. Clean, bright and very comfortable, it formed a perfect base for what we wanted to do in the area. It's on a holiday complex so we could sometimes hear other people from the lovely patio area but this wasn't overly intrusiv, and the view is lovely. We ate in the on-site restaurant once which was fine. There is lots of free parking and four EV chargers which we used twice. The attractions of Ullswater, Derwent Water and Keswick are within easy reach - on a wet day we visited the Keswick Pencil Museum which we have not got round to on previous visits and found it surprisingly good. Overall this is a very well kept apartment which formed a very comfortable base for our short stay.

A beautiful house, thoughtfully kitted out for both fit and disabled guests with a lovely little garden for sitting out on excellent garden furniture serenaded by birdsong. Very comfortable beds; large fridge and freezer; good range of cooking utensils. We very much appreciated the edible goodies left for us. Unfortunately, neither we nor our friends have dogs any more, but the provision of a warm shower outside to clean both dog and boots is amazing. Everything was spick and span, and looked very new. A gem of a place. We cannot recommend it highly enough.

Quite possibly the easiest air bnb to check into, absolutely immaculate and amazing location with the most stunning views!! Will 100% be returning!

The drive to the cottage from easedale road, with around 5/6 gates, didn’t phase us at all. I wouldn’t recommend driving along the tracks in a hatchback, but in an SUV it was fine. Also currently in the middle of a drought, so no wet mud to contend with. As I’m young and fit I just jogged between the gates while husband followed in car behind. Check in was fine, the usual key box as with most Airbnb’s, which I prefer over a physical host. Cottage was great, lovely place, gardens and views amazing. It didn’t quite say in the listing, but the whole garden is shared with the other property - it’s massive so space isn’t an issue, it’s more that with dogs this means you have to be constantly watchful which isn’t relaxing - if there was a boundary like a small fence with chicken wire, you could let the dogs roam in peace with the doors open. The mattress was way too hard on the kind size bed for preference, and the other property had a 30 min shower at 2am so I didn’t sleep well sadly.

A Perfect Getaway! I stayed at this charming cottage and couldn’t be more pleased. The place was spotless, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Every little detail was thoughtfully arranged, from the well-equipped kitchen to the comfy beds. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the entire experience seamless. I highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing retreat — I’ll definitely be coming.

The photos do not do the place justice - it is absolutely beautiful and so thoughtfully decorated. So much bigger than it looked online too and we had a great stay. The only issue we had was that the hot water stopped working mid way through the day. Elizabeth was super helpful and responsive to the problem but we had to be in Newcastle for early evening so it meant 6 of our party had to have freezing cold showers one day as the water took too long to come back on. Other than that, I can’t fault it. Surroundings are beautiful. So peaceful and yet close to shops, airport (25 mins), a gorgeous spa (matfen hall), and a 35 min minibus to Newcastle. Would recommend to all.

We felt this was absolutely a beautiful find, and Gotta be one of the best places we have stayed yet. The barn conversion is done to a high standard and is so cosy ,warm and welcoming Karen was super friendly and gave some good advice, left us with a lovely cake ,milk and a bottle of Prosecco, such a lovely touch. I would definitely recommend this place, it is pristine and the views are out of this world, I became obsessed with watching the sheep out of the bedroom window 😂

Christine made us feel welcome from the moment we booked the cottage right through to the end of our stay. I honestly couldn’t recommend this place enough. We booked the cottage as a surprise getaway for my sister’s 40th birthday, and we were looking for somewhere peaceful where we could also bring our dogs. The secure (and massive!) garden was perfect for them. The generous stock of logs and the incredibly thoughtful hamper on arrival went above and beyond our expectations. The barn itself is very spacious, and having all three bedrooms en-suite was so convenient for our group. It’s only about half an hour from Ullswater Lake, which made it the perfect base to explore this beautiful area. We’ll definitely be coming back and will be recommending this cottage to others in the future. Thank you ! X

Had a lovely couple of nights here with 8 friends. Ideal location and a really spacious house, lovely shared areas! The kitchen was well equipped and we had everything we needed.

We had an absolutely incredible stay. The setting is unbelievably peaceful, with sweeping views of the mountains - the kind of view you just can’t stop staring at. The apartment itself is gorgeous — beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, and really well thought-out. Everything felt high-end but still cozy and welcoming. The whirlpool was the perfect way to relax after a day exploring. The location is ideal — very quiet and private, but just a short drive to the lake and local walks. We explored during the day and came back to total comfort and calm every evening. The host, Julie was lovely, really responsive and helpful, and clearly cares about making their guests feel at home. We can’t recommend this place enough — it’s the perfect mix of luxury, nature, and tranquility. Can’t wait to come back!

Great location, cozy apartment, helpful and friendly hosts. The apartment was exactly as advertised and was spotless. Only an easy 10 minute walk to Keswick centre. Would recommend!

Our week in this lovely apartment sped by too quickly! It was beautifully decorated with cosy lounges and chairs and very comfortable beds. The kitchen had more than we needed and all appliances were easy to use. The location was faultless - everywhere was so accessible from here! Pubs, cafes and restaurants were just across the road - where we headed after long hikes each day. We felt very sad to leave and look forward to returning one day soon 👍👋❤️

Donna and Paul were great freindly hosts, Paul even asked if would like anything from the local shop as he was going. Any questions that I had before and during our stay were answered very quickly by Donna. We had Fieldside no2. It was very well equipped right down to liners for the double air fryer! The view from the living area and bedroom were great, sheep right outside. The location for us was perfect, approx 20 minutes by car to both Keswick in one direction and the coast in the other. A great stay and we will be back!!

Very comfortable, brght and airy appartment/ bedsit - easy walkable access to pubs, restaurants with bus and train options to visit the sites along Hadrians Wall. As it was very warm when we arrived an outdoor space would have been welcome but I think it is a work in progress. Overall a brilliant location for our 2 night stay. We found Paul to be a very helpful host. Thank you

We loved our stay at Ruskin. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. We loved the design, comfort and usability of the room. The location was amazing, being only a few minutes away from the glorious Lake Windermere and its local amenities.
