Holiday rentals with beach access in Philipstown

Our second time at Chris’s place and we plan to keep coming back! Well appointed, clean and comfortable Chris thinks of everything including cold water in the fridge and furniture covers for our dogs. The place is charming and the location walkable to eateries and good coffee. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Jeannette was there to greet us and made sure we knew where everything was and that we had everything we needed. She even provided breakfast. Her place was immaculate. The location was amazing. She made our departure very easy. We are looking forward to staying there again. If you looking for a great place to stay, this is it.

Have stayed here multiple times. Very comfortable apartment and as described in listing. Private entrance and setting in nice walkable neighborhood. Johanna is very responsive and a wonderful host. Highly recommended.

The view of the lake was amazing. She was very quick to respond if there was anything needed. I loved the recommendations that she sent over. We overall had a wonderful experience!

Great lake view and very peaceful surroundings. The place was as described and overall a nice stay. Slightly awkward that the bathroom didn’t have a ceiling, but not a big deal. Also saw an otter swimming in the lake!

Excellent, well appointed apartment close to downtown shops and restaurants. Comfortable bed and cool vibe to the space. The balcony with a nice view of downtown Stamford is a nice bonus!

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They were generous with providing goodies in the kitchen, which was well-stocked. It's a darker apartment but the deck outside was very cheerful as was their entire back yard right on the river. They even had kayaks and canoes to use and a lovely dock. Except for the busy street out front, it was just what we needed.

I was working in the area and just needed a place to stay overnight but after finding Lisa’s place I’d definitely book it again It was great - really clean, nicely appointed and special touches for guests

A gem of a home if you’re looking for a waterfront property with great lake access. David’s home is well stocked with everything you need - from baking to cooking , from laundry to great choices of board games , a nice library if reading by the water is what you care to do . If you’re a bass fisherman like me , you have direct access to Squantz Pond, which can be a great fishing alternative to nearby Candlewood Lake. The property is close to the main road and traffic can be a nuisance to folks who are not used to it . City folks like me don’t mind it. David was a great host , very responsive . There was a slight miscommunication during check in , but that was taken care of right away . My family hopes to come back again . BTW, for those who don’t know how to play the piano , take some brief lessons before coming and impress your folks. Joe

This beautiful lake house is a lovely retreat from the chaos of the city. We spent the day lounging by the dock, and relaxing in the sun. It was awesome to have a full private bar with your own pool table right in the house!

Beautiful layout and views: The living room extends to an expansive harbor view as we opened the door. When we turn around the lofty A frame transitions into the bedroom connected by a wooden spiral stair. Interior appliances are good and functional. Plenty of Pillows and blankets to get cozy. The Weber Grill is great to use. We used public transport and Uber and it was pretty easy to get around - 15 mins to nearby scenes and restaurants.

Very relaxing and peaceful stay at the Zenhouse for me, my husband and 3 month old boy. The guest house was relatively spacious and had all the amenities needed to relax with tea/coffee and grill food. Some of the fixtures in the guest house are a bit dated (e.g. bathroom, heater, etc.) but are all perfectly functional. The property is expansive with beautiful trees, streams and walkways throughout. Olga greeted us with a wonderful welcome including of the history of the property. We also enjoyed spotting the geese, chipmunks and other animals that roam around the grounds. We would come again when during warmer weather to enjoy the pool next time.

The home was dated, but definitely worth the price. Convenient to shopping (Trader Joe's), access to I95, and just a short drive to downtown Darien. The amenities are also dated, i.e., not a walk-in shower but a jacuzzi type tub. Rory's restaurant was next door, which had very good food and reasonably priced. The host needs to add hand towels for the bathroom, and tea towels for the kitchen. The host was very responsive to text messages. Overall, we very much enjoyed the house.

Wow! I booked this lovely home just a few days prior to needing it and it was all we expected and more. It has 2 private docks on the upper part of Greenwood Lake with Adirondack chairs right by the water. The lots are separated with fences and shrubs and so it seems very private. Heron, geese, ducks and other birds visited our dock and yard. The town of Greenwood Lake had what we needed: ice cream, beer (go to Friendly Beer for the best selection), a few restaurants/food trucks & a Dunkin. We loved the hot tub and appreciated the board games since the weather was rainy at times. Rules and checkout procedures were simple and clear cut and John was responsive and helpful when messaged on the app. Any issues we had were unforeseen and dealt with immediately. We would love to stay here again!

Great value within 10 minutes of Main Street in Narrowsburg. Perfect for kids who want their own space, with a proper suite for the parents. We enjoyed the pool, the hot tub, the super-clean bathrooms, and the comfortable beds.

The spacious condo was spotless and bright with high ceilings. Plenty of room to spread out. Communication with the host was fast, they were very accommodating. The unit was very quiet and comfortable, easy to sleep. The kitchen is well equipped. I hope this will be available next time I’m in the area!
