Our stay at this enchanting mountain retreat was absolutely magical! Photos can’t capture the vibrant garden, colorful flowers, or the twinkling Central Valley lights at night. Nestled high in the mountains, we were often wrapped in soft clouds, with breathtaking sunsets and the gentle sounds of birds and nature creating a serene escape. Kattia and her wonderful family, who live in the outhouse on the property, made our 3-month stay truly unforgettable. Kattia is a treasure, managing housekeeping and cooking delicious meals with such warmth, while her husband keeps the garden pristine. Their welcoming hospitality made us feel like family—definitely hire her to elevate your stay! Just an 8-minute drive to Carrizal for groceries and 25 minutes to Alajuela, it’s a perfect hub for exploring Costa Rica’s attractions. The hosts were exceptional, fulfilling every request with kindness. We explored much of Costa Rica, but nothing matched this haven’s charm. Highly recommend!

Nos ospamos 11 personas and the experience was amazing, we loved it! The cottage is much nicer in person than the photos, and the property in general is spacious and well cared for. The ranch for grilling is private, perfect for sharing in a group. The weather is around 18 degrees, ideal for enjoying the mountain environment, and the fireplace was a great plus. —Alberto, the caretaker of the place, was super friendly and helped us turn it on, in addition it was always available for whatever we needed. Something to note is that one of the rooms directly connects with another, which reduces privacy, and this is not noticeable very well in the photos. There are also dogs that come to the property, they are very nice and friendly, although one of them was quite hungry, he was very affectionate. We were told that we had to bring coal and it was not necessary, because Alberto told us that they had. Overall, everything was great. Loved the place and would definitely go back without thinking.

Hello, this is a nice place for one or two people and has almost everything you need in the apartment to make you stay comfortable. There’s a mall about 30 minutes if you walk and about five or 10 minutes by Uber and Uber cost about between 2 to 4 dollars. There’s also a Walmart near there and many restaurants and a gym. There’s a bar next to the Airbnb so if you wanna get a drink or late night snack, you can go there too . They do play music at the bar on Friday and Saturday night but it’s only for about two or three hours or so after 10 pm. The host is nice
