Monthly Rentals in Paradise

Rhonda and Mike were incredibly friendly and generous hosts! They greeted us upon arrival and we had a great conversation about local herpetofauna and other wildlife. The cottage was great for two people for a couple of days. We enjoyed watching the wildlife in the back of the cottage at any time of the day (orioles, finches, tanagers, javelina, coyotes, cottontails, bats, more!). The kitchen, while quaint, was set up with essentials for cooking and eating. Very easy to find and close to both Rodeo and Portal.

Kathy and John are great hosts and their place is in a perfect location, close to Cave Creek Canyon for bird watching and far enough in the dark sky country for great sky watching. Wish we could have done a star party but conditions were not great but sitting on the front porch in the morning and evening allowed us to enjoy the peace and quiet and enjoy the great view. The clear skies at night were breathtaking. The house was the perfect size for the two of us and very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Thank you for sharing your home with us. We especially enjoyed your birdfeeders and having seed to replenish the feeders was very nice. Having water available was a huge attractant for birds. The location was perfect for birding the surrounding area. The house had everything we needed. When we return to the area, hopefully the Green Witch will be available for us!

It is a cute and nice little place. It is not too difficult to find and very convenient — just a short drive to hiking trails and restaurants. Portal Lodge is close by and Sky Islands Grill is 10-minute drive away and very good. We particularly enjoyed watching birds from the big one-sided window. There are also many books and magazines to browse at. Overall, it is a peaceful place to stay. Everything is as expected for its location and size.
