Family-friendly holiday rentals in Pamlico Sound

This house was perfect for our family and really close to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed and then some. Most of all we loved how close it was to the beach!

Terra’s place was beautiful. We saw the horses everyday. Her house is an easy walk to the beach. We enjoyed our stay. Terra was very responsive and quick to respond to our questions. She had food and water bowls for our fur babies. 10/10 recommend!!

we had a great stay at this house! the location was perfect and so close to stores and a grocery which was super convenient. The beds were super comfortable and all in all it was a great spot for the family. would definitely stay here again.

We love staying at Donald’s Duck! This was our second stay and we think this place is just so cute and cozy. Our favorite place is the beautifully lit pool area. It’s a short walk to the beach. The indoor space is beautiful and clean. Mark is a very responsive and helpful host! We love the proximity to the shops and restaurants.

We loved the place. There was a small miscommunication about code but owner responded immediately. Best condo we have stayed at in Colony By Sea and we've stayed in several over the years. Everything as described. Location close to elevators also a plus. View was even better than expected. Clean, well decorated, comfortable. Will be the first place we check for availability next time.

The house was very clean and ready for guests when we arrived. It was also in a great area and very close to the beach. The host was very quick to respond to every message and gave very good recommendations for things to do and places to go. 10/10 would go again.

This was a perfect place for a large family to stay. The location is perfect as it's walkable to private beach where there is hardly any crowd. There are various restaurants within a mile of this location and everything was available for a great time.

I always enjoy my stay at the Cottage. It is peaceful, clean, comfortable and has everything you need for a week or longer. Shirley & Ken are always lovely and incredibly responsive with any question. If I could give more stars I would. My go-to when I visit New Bern.

My sister and I stayed with my new puppy and we loved it. The location was quiet but convenient to what we needed. Pool was clean. Definitely will be back to stay!!

We had such a wonderful time staying at SunChaser! David's home is beautiful, comfortable, and clean. Perfect location situated right between the sound and ocean with beach access just steps away from the property. The sunrises and sunsets were spectacular! The kitchen was well equipped for our large family and the gameroom and bikes were an added bonus and got lots of use. David was extremely responsive to any questions and issues and is a wonderful host! Lots of tips and recommendations helped us during our stay! Would HIGHLY recommend him and SunChaser will be at the top of our list for places to stay the next time we're in EI!

We had a wonderful stay at Alison’s place! It was perfect for our group—which included my spouse, our family dog, and my grandmother-in-law. The house was just as advertised: clean, spacious, and in a fantastic location. It’s in a quiet neighborhood but still within walking distance to the beach, a grocery store, local shops, and even an ice cream shop, which we loved. Although the range broke on our first night, Alison and her husband were incredibly responsive and had it replaced within a few days. Their quick action really stood out and made us feel well taken care of. Overall, it was a great experience and we’d absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

There was plenty of room for the four of us! Everything was clean and tidy. While you are still pretty close to a lot of other houses, you have views of the ocean in between, and on the stormy nights, we could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The house is also very close to an ice cream shop and The Froggy Dog restaurant, which serves an excellent dinner menu. The house also provides beach chairs, sand toys, kayaks, etc. so you don't have to bring anything but your beach towel! Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Beautiful and quiet place. I highly recommend Debra's Place as it delivers what is promised. She is quite attentive and proactive. The entrance is very easy to find and to get to. The garden is so beautiful. The location is good and the perks are quite useful. The kitchen is properly equipped. The beach equipment is top notch and you are able to borrow it. Amazing. Do not hesitate in booking. The place was very clean and it had a family feeling. Debra was so nice to bake delicious cookies to welcome us. Our stay was so sweet as the cookies that welcomed us. Looking forward to book here in the future.

This was an absolutely perfect rental for our large family group to visit OBX. The house is beautifully furnished, spacious, modern and quickly felt like home. This is the first Airbnb that I’ve stayed at that has good pans! Amazing. Our family enjoyed all the spaces. The kids especially loved the little loft room that became their special “pirate ship”, the kid friendly basement and the bunk bed room. The backyard is beautiful and we really appreciated the pool and hot tub which seemed super clean. House has plenty of beach gear and is a very short walk to the beach down a pretty little trail (and surfin spoon!) Fantastic trip and couldn’t ask for a better house. The only thing to be aware of is this is 3 floors. We did not mind at all but it could be a trickier spot for someone with mobility issues or kids who aren’t yet confident with stairs.

We just completed our third stay with Marilyn. Our family absolutely loves this spot. It's so nice that our family of 6 can fit fairly comfortably and it's especially great that there are two full bathrooms. We also love how well kept the property grounds are, as well as how easy it is to get to the beach. We just got home a little while ago and my 4 teens are already talking about planning our next trip! Thank you Marilyn!

This is our second time staying here with our three young children and it was just as great as the first. The house is well equipped with everything you would need and more, including kitchen accessories, beach chairs and toys, pool toys, books, and games. We love the neighborhood and proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone searching.

Amazing place to stay in OBX! Highly recommend! Beautiful home with lovely decor. Clean home and grounds. Private and so peaceful. Pool so refreshing, hot tub a great bonus. Beds are really comfortable, lots of extra pillows too. kitchen fully stocked with whatever you could need to cook or make drinks (appliances and dishware, etc.) Garage full of nice extras of bicycles, kayaks, life vests and beach fun playing in the sand for the little ones. outdoor shower to get the sand off too. Some nice restaurants, convenience stores all very close by. 15 mins to Hatteras, 40 mins to Nags Head. Connie is a wonderful host, clear instructions, very helpful and gracious. I highly recommend, we stayed for our annual family vacay, everyone loved it, house so nice. Connie is a star! We can't say enough good things about her home, just go and see for yourself!

The place was perfect for us. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about ~2 miles from the shops of Duck. The beach is less than five minutes walk—our dog loved it. We had a great time! The hosts were very responsive and check in and check out were a breeze.

We enjoyed our stay here! The beach supplies were amazing, and we had everything we needed for traveling with our toddler. One thing to note is you do have to put the sheets on the beds yourself. That wasn’t clear in the listing, and we waited until we were exhausted to do it later that night which wasn’t very fun. But very minor action in what was a wonderful family vacation with great views!

Staying at Terry's cottage was wonderful! It was just perfect for the two of us. It has everything you could need for a short or long stay. Loved the decor; keeping it true to the old fish camp feel but making it new and modern too. Sitting on the screened porch enjoying the view of the river was so relaxing and being on the dock at sunset was the best... a cool breeze and a beautiful sky! Thank you Terry for sharing this little slice of heaven.
