Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Old Lyme

The natural setting surrounding the house is lovely and private. The house itself was spotlessly clean and very well stocked with linens, towels, and kitchen tools and supplies. The beds are very comfortable and it's quiet for sleeping. We spent most of our time in the all-glass kitchen, which despite so-so weather felt like we were outside when inside - really special room. Chris was very easy to reach and communicative for anything we needed. We enjoyed a wonderful extended family weekend and would stay again!

Chloe's home was perfect for our stay as we wanted to be near my son in Old Saybrook. She was responsive and accommodating with my questions and needs always getting back to me right away. Check in was easy and I received emails all along the way which was helpful as I am a first time airbnb person. The home was immaculate with everything as it said it would be. I would definitely stay again and recommend this home.

Michael and Alyssa’s property was as described - actually felt more spacious than we expected. The layout was perfect for our party and TV/Wi-Fi facilities were excellent. The weather was inhospitable but they can’t be blamed for that!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at Eileen's beautiful waterfront home. The view from the living room and primary bedroom of the water was so peaceful. The kitchen was well appointed and the cozy living room made for a wonderful family gathering spot when we weren't dining out at the fabulous nearby restaurants, visiting wineries, or viewing local scenery. Eileen was incredibly responsive to small questions we had. We would definitely book again!!

From the kayaks to the coffee, our stay was glorious! I loved waking up every morning to the gorgeous view of the Niantic River. The indoor and outdoor spaces were comfortable and there are so many amenities. Location is perfect- a short walk to the boat dock and back entrance to the Oswegatchie Hill Trail. I’d love to go back!! Thank you Cindy!

This was the perfect place to stay for our weekend get away. It’s a great location close to a lot of restaurants, shopping, and beaches. We had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

Amanda & David were great Host , super responsive and helpful. The home was the perfect stay for our Memorial Day weekend. Cozy yet spacious. Peaceful neighborhood. Beautiful backyard ! Niantic Boardwalk just a walk away. 20 mins away from all the Mystic activities , Walmart a little over 10 mins away for any last minute needs. We will definitely recommend and stay again!

I went there to relax and to see and hear the ocean... it didn't disappoint... Not only sand and ocean waves, but I got a birds-eye view of a small members only marina (dealing mostly in sailboats). Plus the added enjoyment of watch boat traffic since we're close to NY and the islands. Plenty of beach to play on and constant sm wave action. Lots of restaurants, stores and Costco all within 15 minutes of the house if you need something. I would definitely return to enjoy this sanctuary. Sandy Y. Manchester CT

David's place was perfect for my weekend stay in New London with a very convenient and quiet location. The apartment was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the bathroom was clean and well appointed (I especially loved the clawfoot tub). David was easy to communicate with and proactive with instructions and sharing information. I would definitely stay here again!

Wow!!! This is the nicest airbnb I have ever stayed in. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by trees with lots of privacy. The cottage itself is immaculate (I’m very particular about cleanliness). The dining area is stunning with skylights and beautiful trees outside and great light! The hosts were also so welcoming and friendly, they included so many nice touches for my baby including a pack and play/travel crib, diaper changing area, and toys! I hope to stay here again every time we come to this area!

We booked this place to be close the the festival downtown and it was. 1.3 miles or 25 minutes walk. Perfect for us. The Airbnb was clean and spacious. Shower is a little small but ok. King bed is very comfortable. Yummy welcome treats on the table was a nice touch. Keurig pods and maker available for your pleasure. Well lit and very secure. Felt safe at all times. Great place to book if you need to stay in this area.

Nice condo with great amenities. Within walking distance to many great places. What I was most impressed by was their “guest portal” that included very detailed check-in instructions, answers to commonly asked questions, and suggestions for restaurants etc. That, along with the hosts quick responses, made everything easy. The little extras like toothbrushes, toothpaste, body lotion, makeup remover, and laundry and dishwasher detergents were also a nice touch.

Lovely town and environment. Very spacious and fully equipped apartment. The two bedrooms are separated from each other by the big kitchen, a little reading room and the living room…so good privacy. Two TVs. Comfy beds! The small town is an easy and pleasant walk. It’s a ground floor apartment under the owners house, so be prepared for the patter of little dog feet above. We did not see the owners but communication was terrific. Great place to stay in the vicinity.

Wonderful stay in the center of a charming town. Apartment is tastefully decorated. Bed is super comfy. Host responsive and helpful. Overall A+ stay.

We came up to see a friend in a musical at the Goodspeed Opera House. Donna’s place was just 5 min from the opera house and there was the bonus of a restaurant right next door that we walked over to for a late night dessert on Sunday evening. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom clean and the kitchen had all the basics we needed. The coffee spot across the street looked cute but since it was Memorial Day they were closed but everyone deserves a day off right? Overall Donna was extremely responsive. She helped us find places to eat and was flexible with our check in and check out times. We’d definitely go back!

The Villa was exactly as described! Easy communication with owner. A perfect getaway weekend, every amenity we could want or need! Look forward to visiting again in the near future!

We stayed in town for an event at Mohegan Sun. The flexible check in was helpful as we got in late at night. The place was clean and welcoming.

such a good price for being about 4 minutes away from mohegan sun and around 20 minutes away from foxwoods. texted me with very clear instructions and didn’t have a problem the whole time, would happily stay here again :).
